1/18 Portsmouth VA Police 1985 Chevy Caprice with Working Lights (CUSTOM ORDER)

- Here's an old Chevy Caprice which was converted from a taxi into a Portsmouth VA police car. This model also underwent a custom paint job which was done by me. The model was given as a wedding anniversary present to a couple that drove this same car as partners. Hope y'all liked my model!

Such a pretty car. I always thought the 1970’s -1990’s Chevy Caprice/Impala was a better looking police car than the 1990’s Crown Vic

I think we could also agree that some 80's box cars look better in general.
It is actually a 1986-1990 model because the 1980-1985 model had different grills and taillights.

If the light bar was 1/18 scale it would look better.
The lightbar is in 1/18 scale but the car is a little bigger. Nevertheless, it looks great in person.
The only bad thing about the video if you didn’t show all the patterns in the dark.
The light bar at night is very cinematic this would Really be the part in an Illinois state police car! Or in a solid white paint scheme.

That Caprice doesn't look like an 1985, it had a different grille and headlights combination. I also thought they didn't make the Caprice a police car until 1986. It's great to learn something from others.

That’s actually a 1987 Chevy caprice classic not a 1985 Caprice classic because the 85’ model had separated tail lights and 86’ - 90’ didn’t and 1987 is when the caprice had different color side markers. So this is a 1987 Chevy caprice classic because the 80’ - 86’ caprice had orange side markers and the 87’ - 90’ caprice had headlight colored side markers so this is a 1987 Chevy caprice classic , and I have a model like this and I painted the side markers the same color as the headlights so it would be a 1987 caprice
