[Verse 2] It's as if underwater silence reigns I'm screaming, but you can't hear my pain Beyond the mountains the gleam is white Yet there's no end in sight This is the path for the wounded. [Pre-chorus] And there's no one to guide me now Except Danitsa, the bright morning star The world's a pyre burning each flower Where have they disappeared, those lilac ramondas? [Chorus] Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda. [Pre-chorus] And there's no one who would guide me Because all the stars are sound asleep Saying prayers is of no avail Where have they disappeared, those lilac ramondas? [Chorus, break] Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda. [Chorus] Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda Lilac ramonda. [Outro] From the ashes rises up a single lilac ramonda. 1) Zvezda Danica, pronounced as Danitsa/Danitza, is a feminine name personifying the morning star/Venus in Slavic mythology; it can be found in Serbian lyric poetry. 2) In this context, lilac is a pale purple colour, not a type of flower. 3) The island at the beginning of the video could be a reference to the Greek island of Vido and the surrounding sea in which over 5,000 Serbian soldiers were buried during World War I. A Serbian poet Milutin Bojić dedicated his poem 'Plava grobnica' (The Blue Tomb) to these soldiers and this 'blue tomb' is actually the sea around Vido. In this poem, Bojić expressed the tragic fate of Serbia, whose army had passed through the snow-covered mountains of Albania to get to the Greek islands of Corfu and Vido, where they found refuge and shelter. 4) The title of this song references a flower called 'Ramonda serbica' in Latin, a species endemic to Serbia. The mountain called Rtanj is the home to this flower which was discovered in 1874 by a famous Serbian botanist Josif Pančić. Being a living fossil from the Tertiary period, it is capable of surviving extremely harsh conditions. Even if it is completely withered, just a few drops of water can revive it. Natalie's ramonda (natalijina ramonda), the flower of the same genus, is very similar to 'Ramonda serbica'. It was named after Queen of Serbia Natalija Obrenović, and it is worn as an emblem on Armistice Day in Serbia. This flower, also known as the 'phoenix flower', symbolises the unprecedented suffering of the Serbian Army (during the Great Retreat) that managed to rise victoriously like a phoenix from the ashes that World War I, in which Serbia lost one third of its population, had left behind. 5)This song can be interpreted in different ways due to the universal symbolism of ramonda as the beacon of hope for people going through tough times (wars, natural disasters, disease, psychological problems, heartbreaks, etc.). According to my interpretation of the lyrics, the repetition of the line in which the lyric subject wonders where all the ramondas have disappeared represents the feeling of powerlessness and despair. However, the outro of the song reminds us that hope springs eternal. Despite all the atrocities occurring in the world, it is in human nature to never lose hope. 6) Also, there's something magical and unexplainable about the melody of this song. It embodies the spirit of the Serbian people from the 18th, the 19th and the 20th century, the spirit that Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac, the most important composer of Serbian romanticism, wove into his music. This particular atmosphere of the melody can be sensed strongly only by listening to a piano cover. It’s just fascinating.

The title of this song references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenović and it's used as a symbol of peace after WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWI, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people. 🌸🌸🌸
Ramonda is symbol of Serbian tragedy in World War when we lost one third of entire population. When all army was forced to withdraw to Greece, and then turn back in one of greatest battles of WWI-Proboj Solunskog fronta. It symbolizes hope and resilience for Serbs.
Ramonda" was named after the "Ramonda serbica" flower, which is mainly found in Serbia and the surrounding regions. This flower, which was discovered by a Serbian scientist in 1884, has an extraordinary ability to revive even after drying completely, which is why it got the nickname "phoenix flower". Similarly, Natalina ramonda, a close relative of the same genus, is known in Serbia as "Natalia's ramonda" after Queen Natalija Obrenović. It became a symbol of victory in the First World War, representing Serbia's resilience after losing almost a third of its population.
Thank you for such a great comment! Italians simply understand intense, deep emotions and 100% feelings such as Balkan people do. Italia wote for Serbia!❤❤❤ Lila Ramonda is a phoenix flower and in Serbia symbol for those who fought for peace in World War I and whose who rebuilt everything after hard times! Great lyrics, great song.
After her song "Dzanum" which went viral all over the world thanks to TikTok, now we have a sequel in the form of Ramonda. The title of Teya's song "Ramonda" references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in Serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead.

Ramonda Serbica - an endemic type of flower that grows only in Serbia. It is a symbol of survival. One drop of water is enough to revive a completely dry and dead flower. Serbian phoenix is alternative name of the Ramonda serbica.
Ramonda serbica, also known as Serbian ramonda and Serbian phoenix flower, is a species in the family Gesneriaceae. It is one of the few European representatives of this family, found in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia. It is typically found in cool, damp, shaded environments, primarily on steep, north-facing limestone foundations. The flower was discovered by Serbian botanist Josif Pančić in 1874 near Niš. It is known for its ability to be revived when watered, even when fully dehydrated, also known as a Desiccation plant. In Serbia it is used as a symbol of Armistice Day in World War. Serbia lost 1 247 435 people. From the total number of people that lived in the country at the time, Serbia lost 60% of its male population in that War. Ramonda is a lilac flower that can die and come back to life if it is watered.
Ramonda is Far,Far ....the best this year!!!!! Who is going to win it is not mutter any more because every one know this song is the best one....the message ,voice ,the story, the worry of young generation in silent ,and somehow alone....
The song 🎵 Ramonda = flower 🌸🌸🌸 metaphorically describes the suffering of Serbian nation. At is also symbolically calling for peace ✌️ 🕊🕊🕊 in our crazy world 🌎 Serbia suffered 5 centuries under Turkish occupation and managed to survive and save their identity. In WW1 1/3 of the population and 60% of male population was murdered by Bulgarian, German and Austrian army...and they didn't announce a capitulation but the nation, led by the king went in an exile via hostile Albanian mountains. After all the suffering between 1914-1918, they returned back victorious and liberated all southern Slavic nations (Serbs, Croats, Slovenians, Macedonians) and created a South Slavic country (Yugoslavia). Another genocide happened during WW2, more than 1 million Serbian people were brutally murdered in genocide, especially in the Jasenovac concentration camp 😪😪😪 10:36 Ramonda flower 🌸🌸🌸 symbolically describes Serbian nation ... they love freedom & will resist any Hegemon 💪 BUT 🕊✌️ 🕊 the main metaphorical message is calling for end of wars & suffering on our planet 🌸🌸🌸✌️✌️✌️🕊🕊🕊
It is all about history... WW1, Serbian army suffering during retreat through Albania, Corfu, death, "blue tomb" (buried at sea), rebirth and hope... victory... all in the one song and the flower.
There are a lot of ways to understand and feel the song. It is really beautiful, and full of profound meanings. Ramonda itself is endemic spaces found dominantly in south Serbia, North Macedonia, and partly Greece. At the beginning she is on the rock, starting in black, no light no hope (as could also be understood on personal level), same as Serbian people and soldiers refuged to island of Vido in WWI, without hope, totally defeated, sick, wounded, where many who died were buried to the sea, Blue tumb (Ko pod vodom tiho je sve... - Underwater silence surrounds...) etc etc.... Then those destroyed humans forgotten and left to disappear, resurrected somehow and returned to homeland in 1918, making one of the first big victory on mountain Nije in area of Kajmakcalan, where the flower could also be found. The flower is often named phoenix as well, as even dry and dead it will revive with as small as a drop of water (where is hope there is will, where is will there is chance). The flower is worn during Armistice day on 11. November as a remembrance of the power of will and the sacrifice made by Serbs (who lost 1/3 of it's population in WWI). In the end she sais Dize se iz pepela jedna lila ramonda - from the ashes one lilla ramonda flower rises. Song is both Serbian, and individual, can be interpreted in any way and the message is that there is a hope.
Hvala na lijepim komentarima o pjesmi i Srbiji. Ja sam iz Crne Gore , medjutim to je i naša emocija i bivše Jugoslavije. Poštovanje tebi i tvojoj Italiji.

While 'Ramonda' is rooted in the experiences of the Serbian nation, its themes extend far beyond geographical borders. However, It speaks about the resilience of the spirit this glorifying Serbian nation had for centuries. Not to be narrow-minded, the song also speaks to the universal human experience of facing trials and tribulations. (As you already said in the video) The message of symbolic Ramonda Serbica is rising from the depths of despair which resonates with all who have faced adversity, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we have the strength within us to overcome. Let this song be a beacon of hope and inspiration for humankind, urging us to embrace our ability to rise again, no matter the challenges we face. Truly, it's a testament to the unbreakable soulfulness of mankind.💠🌙✨️☁️
RAMONDA" "I don't have, I don't have, I don't have peace, I don't have sleep, let the night come, let the day come, it's hard for the one who is alone It's like under water, everything is silent, I'm screaming, but I can't hear the white glow behind the mountains, I can't see the end, this road is for the wounded And there is no one to guide me to the bright star Danica The world is burning, every flower where the lilac ramonde has disappeared

Ramonda Serbica - an endemic type of flower that grows only in Serbia. It is a symbol of survival. One drop of water is enough to revive a completely dry and dead flower. Serbian phoenix is alternative name of the Ramonda serbica.
Ona stvara Magiju❤❤❤
TEYA DORA winner🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for info.ciao

Grazie mille Gianni.. VIVA Serbia, Viva Italia.. ❤❤❤
This is the winner! 💜

ĐANI BRAVO! BRAVO SIKI SRBIJA
The song 🎵 Ramonda = flower 🌸🌸🌸 metaphorically describes the suffering of Serbian nation.
At is also symbolically calling for peace ✌️ 🕊🕊🕊 in our crazy world 🌎
Serbia suffered 5 centuries under Turkish occupation and managed to survive and save their identity.
Another genocide happened during WW2, more than 1 million Serbian people were brutally murdered in genocide, especially in the Jasenovac concentration camp 😪😪😪

Ramonda flower 🌸🌸🌸 symbolically describes Serbian nation ... they love freedom & will resist any Hegemon 💪
BUT 🕊✌️ 🕊 the main metaphorical message is calling for end of wars & suffering on our planet 🌸🌸🌸✌️✌️✌️🕊🕊🕊
She told after the show that she will have spectacular stage in Malme,I think it will be wonderful❤
TEYA DORA IS THE BEST💜💜 LILA RAMONDA💜 SERBIA 💜
Merci Gianni ..❤❤
It is all about history... WW1, Serbian army suffering during retreat through Albania, Corfu, death, "blue tomb" (buried at sea), rebirth and hope... victory... all in the one song and the flower.
Than you for this great reaction 💗🇷🇸 Teya Dora 💗🇷🇸
RAMONDA FOR THE WIN💜🪻💪✨

Beautiful song.
beautiful song beautiful, it's a big favorite❤️❤️❤️
While 'Ramonda' is rooted in the experiences of the Serbian nation, its themes extend far beyond geographical borders.
However, It speaks about the resilience of the spirit this glorifying Serbian nation had for centuries. Not to be narrow-minded, the song also speaks to the universal human experience of facing trials and tribulations. (As you already said in the video)
The message of symbolic Ramonda Serbica is rising from the depths of despair which resonates with all who have faced adversity, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we have the strength within us to overcome. Let this song be a beacon of hope and inspiration for humankind, urging us to embrace our ability to rise again, no matter the challenges we face. Truly, it's a testament to the unbreakable soulfulness of mankind.💠🌙✨️☁️

RAMONDA"
"I don't have, I don't have, I don't have peace, I don't have sleep, let the night come, let the day come, it's hard for the one who is alone
It's like under water, everything is silent, I'm screaming, but I can't hear the white glow behind the mountains, I can't see the end, this road is for the wounded
And there is no one to guide me to the bright star Danica
The world is burning, every flower where the lilac ramonde has disappeared
Beautiful song, the best.🌸
I love everything Italian, my first love.
