Hello! Is it possible to use digital modes like PSK 31 via bluetooth? Without having to physically connect the radio to the cell phone? Thanks! de PY6FX
When I switch BT on in the phone two Q900 icons appear. One for audio and one for control. So basically digital mode operation should be possible. But FT8 is rather time critical.
Hi Ben, Thanks for the video. However, when I go through the stages you show , the App has changed to PrxTx, which then asks which radio to pair to. The q900 isnt shown, I believe there were similarities to the Yaesu ft817? so I tried that and the 818 with no luck. Can you help please? G8XDD
@@m7frs272 Hi Ben, hmm cant find that now. Its not where you show it to be on the video as far as I can see, that links to this PrxTx app. OK, all part of the fun I guess!
I downloaded it from the Apple App Store last year, so I have it on my iPhone. But they have since removed it from the Apple app store and I don't know why. Fortunately I also have a few Android devices laying around to use the remote app. It's very handy.
@@JohnPotter-l7l Sorry, but I gave up on the Q900. It was just not worth while. Too many things that were only implemented half-heartedly or not functioning at all.
do you know if you can use other sdr software with that radio, such as sdrsharp or cubesdr or even gnuradio?

Hi. Not that I have found so far. I'm hoping that something similar will become available for SSTV.

Hi David. PrxTX is a totally different application. You'd need to find the QradioBLE app.

Can you use this radio to work remotely?
I can't say for certain, but in theory it should be possible, although not something I'm allowed to do on my foundation licence.
Thanks mate! Works fine on my Galaxy TAB A 10.1. Could not make it work on an unknown China Tablet. .apk parse error. Dean KC3JXT
Thanks Dean, glad you found it helpful 👍 73
I can not find a iOS iPhone app as it been taken off site
Hi Paul, I was able to find it by searching 'QradioBLE mobile app' on Google. I believe its a paid app on iOS however.

Does that radio work on 11 m
Yes it works on 11m/CB band.
what a dificult storry to get that
I am unable to pair the radio to my phone. Do you know the pairing code? I have tried 0000 and 1234 but to know joy..73..
i have the same problem, did you get it to work ?
The app should do the coupling without you entering numbers
@@heinerrambold8889 I found that is true only for the audio pairing, not the bluetooth pairing which asks for a pairing code.
@@heinerrambold8889 Did you have to what a long time for the BLE to pair and show up on the list to select?
