Yea an actual aggressive dog that goes into a fight mode when it sees another dog on a walk isn't going to get fixed with treats and walking them far away giving treats. They need some type of correction to snap them out of it. My dog would freak out on walks when another dog would bark or if he would see another dog. He wouldn't bark he would get tense and stiff and fantic wanting to get at it. Barking isn't usually aggression aggression when dogs want to fight is usually quiet like they are looking at prey. To stop this when it would happen I grabbed both sides of his collar and made him look at me I held the collar as loose and calmly as possible. He would try to turn his head away from me and at that point with my palms I would force his head back to look at me. He was in a fight state, then when he was looking at me and trying to turn his head away that went from fight to flight, then when he stopped trying to turn his head I hold his collar very loose, and take deep breathes looking at him and try and send him calm energy, and I wait until he calms down. This took 15 to 45 seconds which is a long time when on a walk. The point is I was able to break him of that fight state, and stop him from avoiding, and his only option was to calm down. This is much easier then trying to treat a dog from 4 blocks away when he sees another dog. Positive only doesn't do anything for aggression.
