Another helpful and informative video! The JBR snuffs are new to me I may try them soon. Andechs, Gawith Black, and Bayern Prise are probably my favorite. I do like President and Red Bull too and they are my favorite to carry cause I like that style tap box. Looking forward to seeing more snuff video.
The JBR are actually the better Pöschls, of course they have menthol - the yellow one is fairly complex, the others quite straightforward. I agree with you on the President and Bayern Prise, I think I have been using President for decades. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching!
Excellent review video! I started using snuff recently and chose some Poschl products as i already enjoy their tobacco. This is the perfect review and playlist! Really enjoy your humour as well mate! (It was at this point you knew you were dealing with an English)😂 Thanks again
Hey Dr. J., I was wondering and if anyone could answer I figured It'd be you! Is Ozona S type and Poschl S type Satchel, one and the same? People here in the States say it's not. So... what's the straight dope??
I´m a Swede, and snuff isn´t that big in Sweden nevertheless Pöschl A is a big favourite of mine like Bayern-Prise for sure and President is the only medicated I always carry with me on a daily basis. Really nice video, love Pöschl snuff.
Thank you for your message! It depends on the weather and the humidity, in summer Gletscher Prise (because it's always available everywhere), in winter the Amostrinha, and every now and then one of the Wilson's/Fribourg, like Old Paris or Jockey Club. I used to love JH Wilson's Top Mill, but it wasn't available for a while. I do recommend trying them all 😀
Wait, bayern prise is a mix of snuff and schmalzler? I had no idea, Uncle Squinty thought it's just a pure schmalzler. Do you know which flavor the snuff part is?
Bro what I've learned about the redbull packet vs tap tin,,, the tap tin is the strong one the packet is more mild,,, don't ask me why it is what it is,,, i think the tap tin was designed for the UK market so they ramped up the menthol inside making it strong
Hello and good day sir! I was wondering if you are familiar with a German Snuff i believe to be in a yellow square tin like the Royal hut its not that one. It has a light brown color to it and it's dry. I can't seem to find it anywhere but it was so good, tried from a friend many years ago. Any but if information would help, thank you for your time have a great day... 😎
Hi, maybe you mean Rumney's Export? Used to have a slightly different design compared to now, but it's definitely yellow, a dry English type snuff. Hope it helps
@@5minutestobacco Appreciate the reply sir. I think that might be it from the reviews of the users description of its signatures and effects. Or I'm on the right track, awesome content and keep up the great work... ✌🏽😊👍🏽
Interesting, I have only tried the Gawith Original and the Red Bull so far, but although at first I ind them nice, I don't like what I thought was a buttery after flavour that stays for ages, but I understand that it's hay. Are they all like that? Thanks
They're not all like that. The Schmalzers have a pronounced Brazil tobacco flavor that's more chocolatey, the Bayern Prise is malty, and the Ozona line comes closest to aromatic English type SPs. I will look into what makes them taste like hay, it might be some selected tobacco (Virginia is known to taste of hay).
@@5minutestobacco Hi, thanks for replying so quickly! And for the information. I would definitely like to explore the range of Poschl snuffs, although I don't like the after taste of the ones I have mentioned, they seem good quality. All the best 👍
@Sman-eg1zs Hey, I just checked the ingredients of some Pöschl snuffs and found "Acetoin" as one of the agents. It's not acetone, by the way. According to Wikipedia it has a "pleasant" buttery aroma. Maybe it's the fragrance you picked up? Greetings
Magst Du total naturbelassene Schnupftabake? - Bernards Civette, Kownoer, Alt Offenbacher - Gekachelter Virginie - Viking Brown, Dark, Dark Scotch - Wilson's of Sharrow Kendal Brown Oder eher blumige?
Original Gawith Apricot was very popular beginner snuff in Poland around 20 years ago ;) I still like it when it's fresh, it's sweet but not over the top like Lowen Prise. I dislike Ozona Cherry and Raspberry for sweetness too. I think Gletscher is better than Red Bull, because I don't enjoy RB's pepper aroma. I was disappointed by Alpina, I thought it would be more like a freshly cut wood scent, it turned out its the same scent as Airwaves chewing gum. I need to try Bernard's F snuff. I also wonder about Ozona President. Maybe it's even better than Gletscher for me.
Hey Johann, the President is actually a eucalyptus snuff, and it feels more like Löwen than like Gletscher. I only really like it because its tap box is smaller and there's the integrated mirror 🪞 I'll make a direct comparison of the two soon
gletscherprise original is my favorite not the gold followed by alpina and i havent tried much of the others the doppel aroma is great id love to try the sf

I got the gletscher prise 15g at spring fest this year for like 7 euros that’s all they had
That's really sad. They should have at least offered another Schmalzler.

About the acetoin, it's exactly in Pöschl's:
- Karibikprise
- Red Bull Aromatic
- Gawith Original/FC Bayern Snuff
- Bayern Prise
- Gawith Silver (Cola)
- Glück Auf Prise
- Ozona C-Type
- Radford
- Schmalzler SF
So stay away from them, maybe 😀
What about the Poschl white powder snuff? How is that different?
The white powder snuff is based on glucose (grape sugar) and flavored with menthol. Zero nicotine.
@@5minutestobacco thank you!!!

If you like chocolate and banana, you'll like SF ("southern fruit"). Definitely sweeter than Doppelaroma
What is the difference with snuff and schmalzler?
Schmalzlers are usually Brazil tobaccos with the addition of fat (in the past: lard "Schmalz") and a fluffy grind.
