I am currently looking at this model. Just curious after 3 years now how is it holding up? Also, I saw another UA-cam saying this model is using too little water causing some soap to be left behind on the clothes. Do you face such problem?
I got this machine is silver but with the older style drum was bought in 2020 wish I had this one though with all the jets but everything still comes out spotless so can’t complain… And haha the only program I use is cotton sometimes with turbo wash sometimes not. It’s good because you can use every setting unlike some of the other programs. Don’t mind sports wash or silent wash mind. And mix. But it’s definitely cottons 30.40.60 98% of the time 👍🏻😂
who told you that you have to remove the filter down every wash? 2 times a year its enough i'm italian i have the same machine here we only have front load!
like i said in previews comment im from italy, since machine since 2019 but i have other lg in family and we only use front load in italy! i can advise you to use mix cycle that use a little bit more water for every day clothes, and is a little bit shorter than cotton, cotton for towels bedding and very stained stuff, also each of it you can chose and regulate spin speed, temperature, i also add extra rinse to every cycle so my clothes and washing machine remain clenaer; every 30 40 cycle i do a tubclea cycle with a proper cleaner, also if you use the application lg thinkq you can add a lot of extra cycle and functions! tuwbo wash is also a very good cycle save water energy time with perfect result of normal cycle! if you need some advice happy to help! can i ask you, where are you from?
Thank you very much for your video. I am considering buying a unit. I would like to know if I set to NO Spin, will the "no spin" only apply at the final stage? Will the no spin be also applied to all the rinse stages? I have an old Ariston front loading machine - when I set no spin then in every stage of the wash there will be no spin - which I find it suited to my usage as clothes do not get tangled up in during rinse stage - causing my T shirt to go out of shape. In short, I m looking for a machine that will enable me to do NO SPIN for all stages of the wash. Thank you again and hope to have your input.
@@LockdownTechToys Thanks very much for your response. No spin is also shown as zero spin speed. Not having much luck in getting the info that I wanted, I bought a unit of LG front loading direct drive. Whatever spin speed one chooses, it is only meant for the final stage of the wash; as for the rinse1 and rinse2, the speed is preset by the manufacturer based on the setting at the knob. Tested my new LG and the balancing of the clothes before final spin is quite impressive. It does a partial spin to expel some water before doing a redistribution of the clothes a couple of times before going for the final speed at rinsing. I am impressed with the distribution of load. Thank you very much nonetheless for sharing the video. Kind regards bro.
@@pernel48 No problem bro, you sure know how to get into the specifics of the wash! I don't observe the machine that closely throughout its cycle haha. Thanks much for your comments :)
Hi, Can I know if the top of your washing machine is totally flat? I just bought the same model & saw that the top was a bit bloated but wasn’t sure if this is meant to be like that?
The top of my washing machine is completely flat. Pretty sure it isnt meant to me bloated... hmmm maybe you can get it checked out if still under warranty.
Hi I saw the same model at Best Denki IMM today and they are selling it as a current model. But obviously it is not and it is selling for (after discount) at $1149 Singapore dollar. The difference between this model and the same model without the TurboWash function (LG FV1409S4W) 9kg is about $110 cheaper. Does the TurboWash function useful? Do you use it often?
Hi! thanks for your comment. No for sure this is no longer current cos I bought it over a year ago. No I hardly use the TurboWash function or any other function other than the standard wash. It might be good though if you want your clothes done in a hurry.
Right, i left out the full model number cos the S3 is shorter and that's how the sales rep referred to it. I assume your're in SGP as well, I got it from Best Denki Takashimaya! It's doing great, some 9 months after buying it. The smart features are really useful, pretty much the only annoying thing is having to drain the water at the bottom out, but that's common to all front load washers i suppose.
Sure. It takes 90 mins at full or close to full load in cotton mode. Actually that's what i use 90 percent of the time. For light loads it's about an hour

Oh thanks for letting me know! I've been doing it since day one 😆 saves me much hassle !
Hi! I’m considering this model as well. Is it loud? Does it run silently?
It:s loud only if you place it under heavy load. Other than that it runs like any other machine

Wow thanks for all the advice! Nice to know someone from Italy. Guess I didn't read the manual thoroughly before i posted this video :P

Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately I'm not aware of any mode with no spin. Looking at the modes and options, there is no such setting.

hows your washing machine still holding up?
It's going strong, more than 2 years later. No issues so far.

@@LockdownTechToys Really appreciate your honest review and reply. I'm intending to get one soon.
Best of luck! Happy to have helped 😀
Thank you for the review. Just one correction though: the model is FV1409S3W. Where did you buy this, and how is it performing now?

What the annual energy consumption?
How about the noise?
It gets noisy if you overload it; otherwise it's ok.
