When there's a heatwave, stay in the shade and read a good book. Here's some inspo! What book are you using to fan yourself with today? 😅

Walking The Invisible sounds lovely. I’m currently reading something similar (but fiction) called After Story by Larissa Behrendt. It is about an Australian Indigenous mother and daughter who go on a tour around the UK visiting famous literary sites. Might be something you would like if you haven’t read it already. I’m halfway through and I’m loving it so much.

If you have access to BBC iPlayer, look for the Brontes Irish connection. It’s a documentary presented by the daughter of the actor Ciaran Hinds

Very interesting titles here! I’m looking forward to reading Vladimir and Lapvona. Things Have Gotten Worse was a favorite for me last year. Hope you’ll like it, too (despite the disturbing story)

I really enjoyed The Bronte Cabinet. It describes different items that are all related to the Brontes and the story behind the items.

Some of these books seem very interesting and I'll have to add them to my TBR list haha. I most recently just finished Kaikeyi, which is based on a Hindu epic. I've really gotten into books that are about cultures I am unfamiliar with or don't know much about. I feel like I learn so much when reading books like these!

Your haul looks very much like my TBR!! Other than Ghost Wall; read that when it came out and LOVED it. I think you'll really enjoy it too! The atmosphere is incredible

I read The Sentence for a course on Louise Erdrich's novels! I found that the characters were very vibrant.
I just picked out from the library and started reading Spells Trouble by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast after accidentally picking up the second book of the series (oops!). It's about two young twin witches who are suddenly thrust into the role of protectors of gates leading to different mythological underworlds.

Great video, books with 100-200 pages fill me with such excitement, so I’m excited to try some of these also! There’s nothing like a long book but I’m really picky over a certain amount of pages.
You mentioned that one book had a really long blurb. If it’s something you’re interested in I would love to see a video about trends in publishing and your opinions. (sorry if you’ve already done something like this I’m quite a new subscriber!)
