    I don’t understand how this video can help me to start thinking in English. I think that if you wanna start speak fluently and think in English you should have more practice. You should all the time try to speak and think , that’s all

      for example, if you see sth in your daily life, you can probably ask yourself how to express it in English, and when we make it a habit which needs practice a lot actually, maybe we can make it.

      You mean after you save the word
      And try to say it in any given situation
      Belive me i bet first you will think of what it means in your own language ,,,but this way helps a lot 😘

      Try in your everyday life to remember the English word of some things you see around you, without translating to your native language. And try to remember some verbs related to those things. Make some sentences describing what you are doing. Repeat those sentences a few times and try to remember them always when you do those things again, always without translating.

    I'm studying C1 level and thinking in English is one of the most important keys to pass the speaking part of the test. Luckily I managed on my own to learn how to think in another language by trying to remember everything that i did during the day in English or doing the shopping only thinking in english. However, this type of videos are always very helpful. thank you for doing it!

    I believe that the most important point to learn English is that to learn how to think in it..
    I realized that when I was prep class for English and Arabic language.. Our teachers started to teach us Arabic with that point, thinking in that language.. We made conversations about where our hair is, nose is etc. I mean this is nonsensical right? But nope, it is actually not because after a whole one year passed saying where our body parts are, we learned that to think in Arabic.. After that I realized that this is the most important point of beginning to learn a foreign language..
    Thank u for reading.. (:
    Greetings from Turkey

    Is the situation we called in the video plowed into has the same meaning bumped into right,cause The first time I saw the picture I was thinking to say bumped into but it wasnt correct And I had like a broken heart..

    • @SpeakEnglishWithTiffani
      @SpeakEnglishWithTiffani  6 років тому +7

      They are a little bit different. "Bumped" means to slightly/lightly hit. But, "plowed into" means to hit something at a fast speed and cause serious damage. Don't be broken hearted though ;)

  • @razmikg8392

    You cannot “think” in any language. The brain has it’s own way of processing (mentalese) that is entirely separate from language.
    “But wait! I can hear my voice in my head! That means I’m thinking in a language!”
    No. What you’re doing is having an internal monologue. You may just as well be speaking out loud. So your question should really be phrased somewhere along these lines: Do non-native speakers of the English Language speak the English language fluently by talking to themselves in their heads in their first language or by talking to themselves in their heads using English itself?
    Or more clearly represented by this photo which demonstrates active translation:

    • @kyleouten2555
      @kyleouten2555 6 років тому +1

      Razmik G actually an internal monologue is thinking what you're referring to is subconscious processing

    • @antoniamuhle9606
      @antoniamuhle9606 6 років тому

      I thought of the song “talking to myself” because you mentioned “talking to themselves” often 🤔
