This controller is dope. For anyone that wants to get the sensitivity high on each pad, go to the menu, page 3 and set each pad to channel =10, curve=soft, Threshold=10.
Finally a Drum pad Controller that has a "16 level" button!!! Not sure why all modern drum pad controllers over look this button/function... I have retired my AKAI MPD 226 for this very portable version that has a very similar layout. Love the size of this thing! about the Size of my ipad mini.
🤔 Can't find this Answer anywhere and no one demonstrates it.... 🔴 : Does the PADs lights repeat back what you played in a Sequencer/ in other words can it receive MIDI in for the lights to indicate MIDI playback ❓️
Nice. Can this run without a computer? I have a Midi input in my pedalboard Fractal FM9. Want to plug directly directly without using the computerI to controll by hands all my effects.
do you know if you're able to change midi channels easily? Say if I'm controlling various synths and need to switch between channel 1 and channel 2 (lead and bass); thanks for the video and overview!
What program do you need in order to use it on the iPad via Bluetooth? I’ve been trying to connect it to the Bluetooth on the iPad and it’s not showing up on the list of devices
@@mel9823 I would imagine Logic Pro, or any other app that supports bluetooth midi. Probably Koala Sampler, though I haven't tried that. But I think I saw a video of someone using it.
Can you upload percussion sounds to this for live performance? I’m a bass player and want to be able to hit some chimes and 808s every now and then while we play
They're quite sensitive. I forgot to mention that you can also adjust the threshold and velocity curve settings, so you can adjust how sensitive you like them.

The thing I do not like about my AKAI MPD16 is the pads need too much heavy force to make a reliable hit. It's functioning as it was designed to do, but I wish I could use a light tapping technique instead, to suit a synth player. Also two fingers per pad to do rolls etc does not work reliably, and the edges of the pad are dead spots.
Did you find anything out ? I’m in the same boat , I just bought this one and not sure if I did the right thing or not . Or should I have gotten the Akai ?
@diddyboy7121 the akai is the market standard so it's going to look like you should have. In my mind though learn the controller. I ended up buying an akai lpd8 as my first controller and ended up setting it up fully, it was a task but bottom line is once you know what you want, doing it will take some work but it can get done.
full performance at 6:12

Hmmmm. Yet another device I hadn't realized I need, until now. 👍😊
I’m eyeing it and I barely use the bestows I have now 😅
Got damn bro that mini set you did was tight!!

which controller has an x-fader to live blend between scenes?

Will this sync to MPC Beats program?
I was looking at the Synido Tempo pad... lol where did this come from, looks great though

This or Synido for finger drumming?
Is there a midi controller with a cross fader to blend between scenes/presets/performances (like Octatrack)?
You may want to look at some DJ type controllers amzn.to/4dQTeX2
How can i connect the record button to FL studio i would pay you to figure that out ive Been trying literally 4 hours
I never tried it, but you probably have to select the EMP16 as a control surface in FL Studio
How was at the end?
Can this run without a computer? I want to control my Behringer edge with it.

I’ve only tested it in GarageBand, but it works fine there.
@@demonicsweaters okay. Is there any other program you know about that it can connect to besides that?

This is a MIDI controller, you can’t upload anything to it. You could, however trigger anything you want through your DAW using this controller.
how sensitive are the pads? are they good for ghost notes?
They're quite sensitive. I forgot to mention that you can also adjust the threshold and velocity curve settings, so you can adjust how sensitive you like them.
how would these compare to the Synido? @@demonicsweaters
Yeeeaaaah been wanting to compare this to a synido tempo pad, which of the two is reliable in terms of velocity sensitivity
its ether going to be the synido or this one for me@@eldrepepino1180

Hi! Can you tell how can i map buttons a/b/c/d and other? it's not displayed as midi
You can't, those are for switching pad banks on the device.

Did you mean the Avatar Mp16 midi pad operates the same? Is it not reliable? And also how is the velocity response, does light tapping work with this?
@@eldrepepino1180 I've not had the chance to try the Avatar.

Can i use this with my ddj 200?
Can i input songs on each pad and play it on sounds system ?
Yes, this would be possible in ableton. You could import each song to a scene in ableton then map each pad to a scene
How good is this for someone buying their first professional pad controller?

Might as well add a chord function
Can i use this to record midi drums on logic?
yep
For resolume ?
I really hope it has usb c
Bought this and returned it. The pads were god awful even after adjusting. Loved the midi bluetooth though
That's odd, mine feels great!
