With all the dry weather around atm I would love to see a mod where say a field could catch fire or say your combine could catch fire if you didn’t clean it out like in real life
How did you not include REA22? This is my only mandatory mod for realism and brings so much to your decisions on what tractors/equipment you are going to run.
Top video thanks.... 4D modding stuff is fantastic.... Except the Brougham trailer... Looks amazing but when put any weight on it, it won't move or is hard to move?
Nice list. I like playing with as much realism as possible too. The only fault I see is with the hose hook-up sound. While some trailers do have air brakes most of the hoses to an implement are hydraulic.
I love the calmsden series and hope it continues. Or maybe others similar in the future. The way you go about your farming and your knowledge is interesting.
Incredible video thank you so much. Good short descriptions too. couldnt be done better i think. Absolutely amazing mods, just brought my FS22 experience to a huge new level, the Reduced engine braking OMG i cant even wait !! hahaha! So many pet peeves where just killed off haha. Thanks and awesome.
Even though these are PC mods. Imo as a console player some of these should easily be part of the base game. Things like hazard lights and beacons that have reflections, and real dirt colors are simple yet immersive things I feel should have been included.
Another informative and awesome video well done, just started to play the Calmsden map again as I believe it’s the best and most realistic map in FS22 and I will now add the mods from this list that I don’t have to make the experience even better, Cheers.
Good list and you work really hard on your videos for people's entertainment. In my opinion Giants should prepare for the future... there is no water physics, no collision (you go through animals and npc's), people walk around like zombies, the AI is not good, there are a bunch of farms around maps but can see nobody working on their fields. I pre-purchased fs19 and fs22, and deception kept going up and up every release. You cant sell games on brands and graphics alone
just played FS 22 for first time today on xbox loved it, watched your vids and iv gone and got it straight away for my PC looks so much better and i need the English maps, keep it up mate well done on the vid
First video of yours I've seen as far as I can remember anyway. Nicely done. My gameplay style has changed as work and time commitments have to be factored in so but I still picked up some good tips from the video.
Im hanging out for the 'Regenerative Agriculture' Mod. This method of Ag is sweeping the globe currently with the new breakthroughs in understanding soil biology. It would focus on increasing Soil Carbon (by having a range of diverse plants growing in the soil at all times, keeeping the soil covered, no tillage no chemicals etc), multispeces plants to feed diverse soil biology to make soil more fertile (research shows a minimum of 4 plant families is best). Multispecies cover cropping (with roller crimping), multispecies cash cropping (including strip tilling, intercropping and relay cropping), then the ability to seperate different seeds after. Integrating grazing animals into cropland (even grazing crops in the early stages and then growing them to a grain crop after that). Planned rotational grazing taking into account grass growth characteristics. Grazing warm season perennial grasses and then direct drilling a cool season cash crop into that pasture while its dormant (over winter) then harvesting that crop and then grazing the grasses again (pasture cropping) etc etc. Modern Ag is so much more interesting than the old techniques of ploughing and moncropping with chemicals as is currently modelled. There is a challenge for someone!
the turn off motor disable mod thingy is also a necessity if you use belts to load things. No idea why they thought it was a good idea to have them disable themselves just because you're not stood watching it lol Edit: Number 6 is an odd one, ive never actually seen a tractor with a mile counter before. As far as im aware they all just have hours instead, since its better information considering they might be at high revs for hours and never actually move
I really wish there was a mod, that would allow setting up mirrors on any of the tractors. They are totally useless as they just reflect the tractor itself mostly.
Drive distance script looks clean, but I can only wonder how many miles it'll show before it breaks, there's only so much room on the display. For this purpose I use Vehicle Info Mod. Displays mileage, trip, current fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, trip fuel consumption as well as total liters left down to 0.1 liters.
Maybe i understood it wrong but the Disable Turn Off Engine (~8:44) is an normal option for FS22 in the option or not? I have to press a button (enter) to turn the engine on and off.
@@Scroft So its a range/timer thing, because if i tab to another vehicle far away and tab back it is still running (no start up sound). Good to know, thank you.
just to let you know, some do indeed use air not hydraulic, you can even get a separate unit to supply air to use them on tractors that do not have compressors.
Your first mod does not reflect realism. I don't know how much experience you have with heavy equipment or even farm machinery, but the equipment is serviced regularly and will see inspection at that time. Not to say a starter can't pack it in....but allowing 50% damage is highly unlikely. Somebody needs to create a mod that will effect equipment to have specific failures ...." Randomly" such as a starter , radiator, flat tire.....and assess if it's a warranty claim based on age or something like that. So my tractors or machinery will just be kept up regularly..... !
I'd love that idea for a mod. Unfortunately, this is all we have on the maintenance side of mods. Let's hope, though, we get something like that eventually 👍
The power off the tractor’s in FS22 is also not really realistic For example a 350 hp with cvt tractor pulling the largest baller up hill should not struggle to go up hill it would run out of grip and start to slide before it starts to struggle
Good video. However, I love the FS 22 game. But do not care about realistic game play. For this reason I was a city boy. My family left the farms generation ago following work in the big cities. My grandpa was a farmer. My dad was a factory worker. I remember my dad having and really old walk behind tractor. I do not see anything like that in the game. Do not care due to it would not be fun to play. Working for $3 a day harvesting tobaccos is not anything I was ever interested in.
@@Scroft Yeah i was obviously talking about the game. But you showed a tractor with 4000 real hours on it and it wasn't even fully damaged, so you'll never have to repair your tractor if the mod works like that
I love your style of showing us all of the mods. You list each one then you give us a list of where to download them at. Super convienant for us. For that Sir, I want to thank you. It saves us time trying to search for the mod we would like to use. Again I thank you for sharing your vids this way.
i love that maintenance one, i wish it was even more advanced though to the stage you can't repair anymore and have to buy a new tractor, also great video, everyone made me immediately download
@@Scroft beautiful part of the world. Love Bakewell and Buxton. Not too far from where I grew up in Barnsley/Rotherham. I couldn’t quite place the accent, but I knew it couldn’t have been far away.
#2 is not realistic those are hydraulic hoses that hook up not air hoses and there is no sound and usually the engine is off to relief the pressure at least thats the way it is at our farm
I get that Easy Development Controls is a great mod for some things...but on a list of "realistic" mods? It is the opposite of realistic. :-) Also the realistic exhaust seems to have a bug, I often have tractors with the engine off, billowing smoke into the air, regardless of maintenance.
Great video, already using most of these so feel vindicated 😂 the one I’ve not used much of yet is Precision Farming as I’m focused on my vineyard currently and it has no impact on grapes -apparently grapes can bring down your environmental score too? Would love to see a mod that introduces grape types where you have to take the soil type into account. I know the Emilia Italia guys are working on expanding vineyard stuff so here’s hoping. Does the geo in-game affect the soil composition in terms of frequency of type or does that only change the planting / harvesting times do we know?
4:10 hydraulic lines don’t make a sound, neither does the air feed for the trailer brakes. Only thing that I’ve ever noticed hissing on a tractor is the air brakes when you take your foot off the brake. Think thats already in the game.
great video thanks so much, waiting for my first gaming pc to be delivered to me this week, gonna pickup Farming Sim 2022 on Steam tomorrow and install these mods. Just subbed to your channel.
I don't know about manual refueling. In real life when I used to drive a scraper, which took about 280L or so after a day, I used to stick the fuel cap under the trigger and start my timer whilst I did other things ;)
Great video highlighting some great mods there, I’ve been playing FS since FS19 on console which has been pretty good but after seeing how these different mods on pc really makes the game so much more realistic I’m actually ordering a pc tomorrow!
I know it’s my bad but I wish you had put PC only in the title. Got a bit in before realizing I can’t use any of these being on PS4. Either way still watched the whole thing and makes me want to build a PC now.
@@Scroft holy crap I didn’t think you’d see my comment. Im glad I found the video, you make some great content. I’ve found my new farm sim series to watch.

It's really good and I've used it on a few of my series. I'm saving it for part 2 with a few others I'm waiting to be released

Glad you found some useful mods

Just to let you know tractors use oil for trailer brakes not air.
just to let you know, some do indeed use air not hydraulic, you can even get a separate unit to supply air to use them on tractors that do not have compressors.
Why would there be air hose sounds for the hydraulics though?
It's because the trailer as air brakes
Fantastic video. 👌

The maintenance one prolly the best one
i wondered, what map are you playing in video, thanks
The mile on dash is really cool
I've never heard a tractors hydraulic system make air system noises really tho
