- Intro 1 - I would like to examine your knees 2- I want you to undress from the thigh downwards/I can see you are adequately exposed 3- I will have a chaperone with me to ensure your privacy 4- Is that alright? - Inspection 1 - Inspection of leg: redness, swelling, hair loss, shiny skin. 2- On dorsum of both feet, no thick skin, pallor, ingrowing toe nails , amputation 3 - Now I will touch your toes. Check between toes. No fungal infection between toes. No thick skin, hard corn 4- Please raise your rt leg, relax, raise your lt leg, relax. No pressure ulcer on heels 5- Please bend both legs for me. No skin changes at the back of the legs - Palpation 1- I'll check the temp of your legs. If you have pain, let me know. No local rise of temp, no tenderness. 2- Now I'll check the pulses. Distal pulses are present 3- Capillary refill time is normal - Tests 1- I'll be touching different parts of your leg with this cotton wisp. Please close your eyes and say yes when you feel it. This is how it feels. 2- I'll be doing the same thing with this neuro pin now. Please close your eyes and say yes when you feel it. This is how it feels 3- I'll be vibrating this tuning fork and placing it in different parts of your legs. Please close your eyes and say yes when you feel it.This is how it feels. 4- Now I'll check your joint position sense. Show him. Close eyes. Tell me if it's up or down 5- Tell him to open eyes after each After each: Pt has loss of fine sensation/ pain sensation below mid shin in both legs. Vibration sensation is intact in pt. Joint position sense is intact - Motor 1- Now I'll check your motor system. Bulk appears to be normal in both legs. Ideally, I'd check with measuring tape 2- Now I'll check the tone in both legs. Please go floppy. Tone is normal in pt 3- Now I'll be checking the power. I'll be pressing your legs, Press against my force. Bend both legs. Same. Then feet. Power is normal in pt 4- I'll be tapping on diff parts of your leg with this hammer. Don't worry It won't hurt. Please go floppy ( Knee, Achilles). Reflexes are normal

Is it normal to vocalise negative findings ? In my previous training we were told to omit negative findings from the presentation and only focus on positive findings. If no positive finding it would be adequate to say the findings were normal.
Yes I am recovering from a diabetic wound and after 7 weeks of antibiotics IV treat ment I am having difficulty with double vision for about a week. I have informed. the home health nurse and have a doctor's visit next Monday

Well PLAB2 allows only 8 minutes, including presentation and C/O check and all, so ... too long for that. But yeah well detailed, thanks
