This was the most informative and professional Tutorial i have ever watched. I just purchased my Highlander Limited and had it delivered to me today so I wasn't able to have the dealer go over all this stuff with me. Very helpful! thank you
I finally got a Highlander Hybrid that came in (limited rather than platinum, but I didn't want to wait another seven months or more). This was fantastic! Thank you for giving me a tour of my new car! Just the right pace and exactly what I needed!
I have a ‘21 Platinum for the last two years. I really like it! On the highway the adaptive cruise control is awesome. The car drives itself. Nice smooth ride with a nice interior. Close to Lexus quality. 27.5 MPG doing 70 mph. I have a 19 year old Lexus too..everything still works on the SUV and it’s smooth as butter. Toyota/Lexus know how to make vehicles.
Toyota is definitely dependable, reliable, and safety built! Well explained on an excellent SUV! Thank you for sharing this for all of us Brian! Mark in Iowa.
Brian does such a nice job on his videos that 3 weeks ago I bought a 2022 Highlander Platinum Hybrid AWD in the magnetic grey metallic with the black interior.
@@lc7192 Good for you! I was super happy with my 2019 Camry XSE that I bought new 3 years ago. This last Saturday I traded that in for a 2021 Camry XSE Hybrid! What an amazing car! I appreciate your reply! Mark.
As always, great level of details..! Executed perfectly ! 👍👍 It’s the same exterior color ( Celestial Silver) I have but it’s ‘21 Highlander hybrid, AWD XLE. Also my interior color is Black.
@@stephaniesantiago475 I contacted the dealership and they sent me a list of incoming vehicles with a rough delivery date. It took about 3 weeks from my date of selection. Each dealership is different though!
Great Tutorials thank you. Do you have any opinion as a towing vehicle, the old 6 cylinder versus the new turbo 4 cylinders in the 23s. I was sorry to see they changed. I realize they still have a 5,000 tow weight but I just wonder how much more stressful Towing is on the smaller engine. Thanks for any help
Thanks for watching! I think it will be fine if what you’re towing is within Toyotas specs. Toyota has done a ton of research before choosing the 4cyl turbo.
Wow! Finally the most in depth video. We just ordered a 2023 limited - platinum package (we’re in canada) we purchased the caramel leather interior and this is the first video where I can actually SEE what I’m going to get this spring. Although we weren’t able to secure a hybrid it’s a big upgrade from my 2015 corolla. I believe there’s a few small tech changes in 2023? But over all looks pretty much the same?
Congrats! Thanks for watching. Yes two main changes. 1.) engine went from 3.5L V6 to a 4cyl turbo 2.) infotainment system is upgraded to Toyotas new system which is faster and simpler! You’re going to love it. Can’t wait to see the 23s and film them.
Brian - Is there a way to get rid of the safety message that pops up on the screen every time the car is turned over and one has to either push or wait for it to disappear? Thanks!
@@brianruperti The visual that comes on as soon as the vehicle is started reminding me of Safety and a big continue button on the bottom right corner of the now annoying welcome screen.
Just purchased a '22 Highlander Limited today. Was amazed at the different menu options available. Even our 2010 Lexus RX350 doesn't have this many ergonomic adjustments. Was surprised to learn that the ECO button should stay on and not off. Our RX 350 has non adjustable ECO which always stays on. Definitely missing the CD Player in the Highlander but understand why it's no longer available.
We have a 2021 XSE and it being the third model from the top, it does not have memory seats or 360 camera or the foot hatch release or ventilated seats. You have to buy either the Limited or the Platinum for those options.
Yes I do also wish XSE had more for the money but I must admit the driving capabilities and torque vectoring AWD helps me forget the lack of memory and ventilated.
Brian, Please also show the country or state where the vehicle was originally manufactured, it would help a lot in my decision factor . Good video. Thanks for this video.very informative. !!!

I am trying to choose between the Platinum or Limited gas and hybrids. I do less than 8,OOO miles a year. Is it worth paying more for a hybrid? I do mainly, city driving.
Brian.. thanks for all of your awesome videos that you do.. I was wondering if you would happen to know how to clean up the little scratches on the radio touchscreen on a 22 highlander? I noticed that it doesnt take much to make little scratches on the piano black.
Your videos helped me in my decision to get a 22 Highlander. Yeah the scratches aren’t too bad it’s just fine. Not like it’s really bad it’s just me. I’m very particular and picky.
We just purchased this car and are very excited. Thanks for your super helpful review! We noticed that the climate control is always present on the extended screen and can't figure out how to remove it from the screen . It feels redundant, since all the same controls are on the buttons right below the screen. are we missing something? do you know how to remove them from the screen? thanks!
Hey congrats and I’m glad to help! Right now I don’t think it can be removed and yes it is a redundancy. If I learn something about taking it off I will update you!
Excellent tutorial! This is one of the most comprehensive tutorials that I have seen for Highlander Limited. I have the Highlander 2021 Limited and have been looking for this type of tutorial. I have a complaint about one feature on the Highlander Limited...the location of the Hold Button is in a dangerous location. It is right next to the passenger seat and cup holder. Twice, my dog placed his paw there unintentionally and I came to a halt and didn't know what had happened to the car. My friend had the same experience with her child who was sitting in a car seat next to her and the child pressed the button accidentally as she was reaching for her drink in the cup holder. Toyota needs to find a different location to place this button. It could cause an accident.
