dude your video just saved my life like I was playing apex when I noticed my character's hand was terribly ugly and now I can play with real nice graphics
Actually, it’s best to leave both of these display options on automatic, switching to the incorrect options will actually leave the display worse than what it was before. It all depends on your TV, resolution, and color gambit.
Hernan Hernandez That's not entirely true. My Samsung TV has full HDMI black range, and despite setting it accordingly the auto setting on the PS4 selects 'Limited'. Therefore I have to set my PS4 to 'Full' manually so my blacks do not get washed out. This is also why it says on the PS4 to change the setting only if the device (TV) info is not being sent correctly 0:50.
Changing rgb range doesn't give you "more colours" it's a colour mapping range to match up with your tv or monitor correctly. Typically a tv will use the rgb limited range and a monitor will use the full range. But despite the labelling neither is better than the other. If you mismatch the range then you'll either end up with washed out colours that look grey or you'll end up with black crush. Don't just set it to full automatically thinking it's the better option.
Exactly. This is a ridiculous video, made by someone who doesn't have a clue. I wonder how many people are now playing their PS4's with crushed blacks as a result of watching this misinformation...
For those who is on ps4 pro, put your resolution to 1080p not the highest, and put your super sampling mode to off. And on boost mode options. This gives good graphics and better fps in 30 fps games
It really depends on the tv really. What the video is suggesting might not work with other displays. RGB full will only look good if the tv has RGB full too. Same as the sharpness setting. Low sharpness can cause weird blur on some TVs, while others is completely fine with zero.
The zoom ability will give me a huge advantage while aiming on enemies 😂 thx man Edit : I've discovered that you can't control your game while zooming ... :/
It would best be used for scouting. The reason why is that the ps4 controller blocks all other inputs while in zoom mode (Excluding the directional pad, the cancel button, and the playstation button) meaning that you can't move, aim, reload, crouch or have any control over the game while in zoom mode. But hey, I don't mind spotting kids 754m away🤷🏽♂️
If you’re using a tv, most likely would suggest you to keep using limited RGB Range. Unless your tv support full range. The downside of using full range if your tv does not support, you going to lose more details in game than you use limited range
Even if it supports it its not going to make a big difference, the point of rgb is if you are playing on a monitor, my tv supports it but when i put full i get a bit of color banding, instead of a smooth grey i get some lines of grey

I would recommend setting you tv to full RGB as well. I have my PS4 on full, but my tv was set to limited. I couldn’t get the right settings for months.

Word of advice, changing the RGB is tied to your tv´s black level. If you change it and the tv doesn't automatically change the black level to either high or low, you are either getting a washed out image or crushed blacks. For reference, Full RGB goes with Low black level and Limited goes with High black level. Also, not all tv support full RGB (newer models do but older might not) so if you are unsure about yours I suggest just using Limited. This is called Black Crush and is a loss of detail you experience in scenes that are near black when you don't properly match HDMI Black Level Low with Limited or High with RGB Full.
Make sure your TV is capable of Full first! It might look like the colours pop more at first but if your TV settings don’t match you will be crushing your black levels! Best thing to do is keep it at automatic, but if you do change it to full make sure your TV matches, usually in black level setting, if you have Full on PS4 your TV needs to be set to high black level, if it’s set to Limited on PS4, black levels need to be set to Low on TV...
If you set the RGB video output to full you should go to your TV settings and set black levels (HDMI black level in some brands) as high or normal, if you use limited RGB output then you should use black level Low as this causes your TV to correctly render colors and not have a saturated contrast image and incorrect colors.

I actually turned off high contrast 😅 I wanted mine brighter
I did watch this yesturday and i come back to say thankyou
I have 4ktv but no hdr should i go with full and deep color? And to max resolution? Because its says 2160p RGB but my tv resolution is 3840 x 2160 would it lower it? And if i will choose between 2160 YUV and 2160 RBG which will i choose? my tv doesn't have hdr
just trial and error
Thank you this helped my PS4!
This helped me ... Thank you so much💚 I subscribed to your channel also for more great content 💙
Stumbled across your video and I have a PS4 PRO and a 4K TV and can confirm these tricks work if you adjust your brightness settings correctly! Also turning on Bold Text looks real nice depending on what kind of TV you have! Thank you!
Definatley a improvement even on the pro and on. 4ktv
This was such an improvement thanks !
This actually works
Woah! That's great to hear!
It does look better thx man!
Sry, but is this all? „Put the Settings on high.“?
Made mine look a lot better ty.
Pls tell me it's good or not (only who have done this)
Yes, it's very good you should certainly try it for your self Don't worry it won't mess up your ps4 and if you don't like it you can always turn it off
I have already tried the first two, and it really improves the graphics, i will see the third one he mentioned if there is any differences
100%
Thanks man this really helpful ❤️
No mention of the difference between Limited and Full RGB based on the compatibility of your TV? And the risk associated with forcing Full when your TV can only support Limited?
You’re The Best🔥
Thanks Lost Fries :D I appreciate it!
0:11 says jump into dis video right now hits us wit a intro boii

Awesome!!
Do these settings improve graphics in the game?
Thank you I looks so much better for my videos thanks bro ✅
Do this work in games for better graphics like bully
** Monitor Type or TV dependent - Colour strength may appear different to each individual screen type.
I have an OLED tv with my own personal settings for color, HDR looks so dual and washed out, I never use it.
The HDR on the PS4 pro or the normal PS4?
Tomsn / both
Tyler Kegger I’ve heard from this UA-cam channel hdr makes lots of games worse In lots of cases. I’m guessing because hdr doesn’t have a standard
hdr fixes the colors well. but it will decrease contrast. so you shud increase your contrast an turn on dynamic contrast on your tv.
Thankyou for this Video
Sub to me thankyou
Looks better but also makes you play worse even if your displays settings match because it introduces more display lag
John C. Fee what’s the best settings to reduce display lag?
Thanks
right?
Theres no way this could affect display lag...
@@HomelessT361 turn off everything that makes your tv graphic and sound better. Those things processed by the tv, sometimes it cant processed the signal fast enough, make 'em lagged
izokido appreciate it bro
Don’t play with the resolution, i changed by mistake on my ps3 and the screen went black. I was like blinded going thru setting to change it back to automatic. I even tried to use the ps touch screen trick (hold it and hear 2 beeps) on the ps3 to make the ps do it to the appropriate setting for resolution. Doesn’t work. Ps3 does work but it just doesn’t connect to the samsung TV
We talking about ps4 buddy not ps3
Laggy I know, just sharing
Full is for pc limited is for Tv
