    I have brown skin and the warm was too dark even for me - actually not so much that it was so dark, it was too warm toned. And that’s my problem with these tints. They sort of assume that anyone with dark skin is warm toned (also implied by the deepest tint being labeled hot). Deeper skin can come in neutral and cool tones as well which these tints by themselves exclude so even if the depth of the shade works the tone won’t work for many deeper skin tones. I felt the same way as you about the formula, though, so I also got the cool non-tinted one to mix. I just don’t find myself reaching for it as much due to the hassle of combining. I think the middle tone might have worked better if it were neutral and not so warm.

      Yes, agreed! These tints, in particular, felt like they just chose shades at random and not based off of what you be best for the majority of people. I find soooo many brands do that exact thing when the shade is anything but light. You want light-medium? Here you go, but I will have a warm undertone. Tan? Again but with a warm undertone. I don’t reach for them much either and I think it’s the nuisance of the shades versus the formula

      This is evident all the time. Even Medium/deep complexions looking yellow/orange bc the undertone is unnaturally warm.. a very neutral shade is so hard to find. Almost everything looks very yellow/peach/pink

    I bought this on impulse and I was just as surprised at how deep warm it was. I looked like an Oompa Loompa lol. I hate returning products so I'll probably do the mixing technique to get more use out of it. Texture wise, I agree it's not bad at all. Definitely should expand on the range.

      Yes! I would say, mixing is ok if it’s a similar formula (ie: mineral with mineral)🤗

    Darn. I was super excited to see the FIRST cool toned option in a tinted sunscreen, but that's not really tinted? It looks like a regular white casty mineral sunscreen? And anyone who isn't extremely pale won't be able to use it. But I hope they set the bar to include more undertones in sunscreens for the future, there's definitely a market for them! This is why I haven't been able to make many tinted sunscreens work, even though I am fair, most tinted sunscreens lean warm and the shade depth is not super flexible. Hope to see more undertones and depths for all released in the future. Thanks for the demo

      Hahaha yep, the cool is just a typical mineral spf 😜I really hope this becomes more of a trend too!!! More shades and more variety of undertones

    I’m wondering if the nude would be decent as a bronzer after you use a different sunscreen. If someone already has it and is disappointed about the tint.

    I’ve been waiting for this:) also, have you ever used Erin’s faces sunscreen? I’m torn between Live Tinted Hueguard, Maelove, or Nudestix. I have normal skin but it does lean dry, but I like satin matte finishes and I’ve only found 1 sunscreen that does it for me but it’s just too expensive. (Kypris Heliotropic) You’re not the only person I’ve seen that says they have to mix Nudestix shades. That’s kind of a turnoff, at the end, it’s the same money, as you are just doubling what you buy, but it’s a pain to travel with 2. Just struggling to decide what to buy next that’s not drying, but not dewy. Argh.

      I haven’t heard of Erin’s sunscreen but will check it out. If you like more of a matte finish, the Naked Sundays sunscreens might work for you (the cream ones). I have a review on them and have been loving them lately

      @@DanaRipperton I did see that review, but I’ll look again. Thanks for the rec! Report back on Erin’s Faces if you decide to review it. I hear about it a lot. Anxious to see how it stacks up to your spf stash. ☺️

      @@Mrstriplejranch I took a look and besides the fact that it’s pretty pricey I didn’t see anything about the sunscreen being FDA approved, so I’ll pass on it. Sunscreens are much harder to make than just putting a certain percentage of zinc oxide in, so I don’t feel confident that these would be protecting me. Do you know if they’re fda approved?

    • @Mrstriplejranch
      @Mrstriplejranch 2 роки тому +1

      @@DanaRipperton I have zero confidence in FDA approval, for any product whether it’s skincare or not, so it’s not an issue for me, but everyone has the freedom of choice here. I can just look for input from other Erin’s users. No worries:)
