For scrappy DK socks you can try what I am doing...kind of a marl, I guess. I start with 2 strands of colour A and do 6 rows. Then drop one strand of A and bring in colour B, so knit 6 rows of AB. Then drop A, knit 6 rows BC, etc...clear as mud?. I'm really happy with how it's turning out.
The Garter Marler Sweater looks amazing. My next cast on is the cardigan version, though I'm anxious about the decisions about placing the two yarns...
Stephen is bringing out more patterns - again. That man is a knitting machine. I got my WIP out and finished it today. Guess I'll have to cast on another SW pattern. Lots to choose from.
It's nice that you were wearing a different sweater, it helps to sell the rest of us on how great the sweater can look:) I hope to join your KAL, I have to pack and move so I'm pretty chill on the type of knitting I'm doing, but surely I could at least crank out a hat. Often, if I want a contrasting toe and my stripes don't match up, I start the contrasting yarn early or late on the toe. No one knows but me, so I like it. (I can handle a couple rows, but not much more than that.) But, of course, each knitter has their own preferences, so you do you, boo! I've just heard you mention it a couple times and thought I'd share my fav hack. Love your podcast! Your shawl commitment amazes me!

It has that feel of a sturdy yarn in which some people respectively call "rustic" or some say scratchy. May I suggest a yarn company to view if not already. Simply sock company out of Fort Wayne, IN. Nope. I just add a new color at the beginning of a new round. I go back and weave in all the ends. It doesn’t bother me. I’m one of the weird ones. 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly it’s not that I like all the ends but what I really hate it how unstable the sock seems in all of the places you’ve added the new yarn. While I’m knitting it I feel like it will just unravel itself and I can’t stand it! I’m going to keep at it because I must find a way!!! Thank you for you’re info, I love your podcast! 💗

I’ve done dk socks with fingering weight held double. But for some reason my gauge was wonky. I’ll have to try it again sometime.
