There are plenty of crypto game scams that are not in the U.S and go on for ages milking their players in 1 way or another. Its pretty easy 2 find them though cuz they have minimal real updates and tons of sales dates.

Shane made a bad move replying like that. He just gave away his intentions. Based on his replies, his obviously super-manipulative. He did a lot of persuasive marketing techniques to hook people into investing as soon as possible, and now that the people are realizing their mistake, Shane is deflecting accountability towards the players themselves.

He just proved what people have known for months now, that Earth 2 isn't a real game. That type of response is typical of people who put out shitty early access games on Steam and we all know those aren't real games by any means.

You really can't judge legitimacy in that way, sadly. While this "game" is undeniably a scam, the sad reality is that the executives of basically every company all type like that. If you saw the emails I received, daily, from the company that I work for, you'd be shocked. You'd expect major corporation executives to be able to string a coherent sentence together, but that simply is no longer the case.
I cant wait for Arya to use this part as an explanation of the "game" in a positive way

People on E2 must be rich people. Imagine buying a 60 dollar game than having to pay for the campaign multiplayer and zombies or whatever gamemode. Than when you purchase that you have to buy the gamemodes/mission within the campaign and multiplayer and thennn. Pay for the maps to even play thennn pay for the class setups. After all of that you have to pay for the guns and equipment inside of the class setups. imagine all of this inside something that isnt even a running game yet and still a website/app on google maps

I put in $75 CAD (though i was very early to it, like beginning of december last year) I recently withdraw $400 USD, and i have a $1,500 USD land value (realistically, i could get $500-600 for it if i wanted it sold now). As i said.. Withdrawing works, so how is it a scam.

They literally made a free to play Korean MMO that you have to pay for... and that doesn't have an actual game.
I think the most important quote to take from his "Q&A" session was "Why do you think you need to establish long term sustainability funding at this point? Surely your projected cash burn rate takes you out a few years... Ya think these types of renewable generators could wait?" which was answered by "I'm not building this to last a few years"

Honestly, the E2 community has proven one thing very well. E2 devs have no incentive to work on an actual game, they just need to keep dreaming up new things to sell based on future systems.. They never even have to design, or code those new systems, the promise is enough to sell this junk...

I went to the earth two Facebook group yesterday a lot of posts about a countdown to them releasing the ability for you to name the land you have bought for a additional fee (of course) but even worse people were commenting in asking why the timer was different in other time zones and that some of them looked at the countdown went away for several hours logged back in and the timer was Nearly identical IE it had not counted down
They can’t even make a countdown to X time and day yet we are meant to believe they will create a game that will make world of Warcraft and other mmos look tiny in comparison
To put things into perspective, it's like a collectible NFT setup. There's a set number of collectible cards (land tiles), rarity (tiles with resources), a game of sorts (buy/sell, and jewels crap) and the possiblity, however unlikely, of another layer that plays like Second Life...
And here I am on my 6th day, all day working on a 3D character. So far I've retopologised my sculpt. Now I just have to texture and rig it and then get it into ue.. All the while these guys get away with doing nothing. This should not be possible in 2021. All of these scammer companies should be millions of dollars in debt. They should be made an example out of.
So you buy everything with Earth dollars. Including all the person to person trading. Makes sense as to why they would include more items to trade instead of actual game mechanics, there has to be some reason for people to log in often.

I just checked their website for the hell of it. To "buy" about half of my apartment complex would be almost $6,000
I'm impressed how well BigFry was able to write with a mouse. It's crazy that their own customers are upset and the answer was 'we didn't make you buy anything and 'does Epic get like this with skins?'. Which is such a false equivalent. Skins are cosmetic, these directly affect someone's ability to gain resources for their tiles and deals with their income.

I love this drama as much as the star citizen drama. There’s something addicting about watching fools taken for a ride and finally realising how messed up it all is. Then there’s those who are so deep in the scam that their brains will never let them see the truth because it would kill them.

The point Shane ignored is exactly the point of this game. It creates a big Fear Of Missing Out for interested gamblers. It incentivizes people to throw money at them in fear that when this game will be "released" everything will be overpriced so they have to invest early. A very well masked ponzi scheme to be honest. One of the more complex scams I've seen in a long time. They promise the Earth, but offer nothing. They just count on the crypto hype and have people believe this will be some kind of expensive digital asset thing in the future, probably similar to NFTs, but more useless.
Chances are they won’t even release the game they will just say they ran out of money and that they are gonna have to stop the development and if they do release it chances are it will be a like of junk put into an asset flip map

One of the things you forgot to mention is the absence of the actual resources. You can convert all of that to resources ... in the future ... maybe ... who knows when ...

Why are people wasting money in a game that lets you waste more money. And use more money for you to play a game, that does not exist!? You can't invest on a non-existent product.
My biggest problem is their promo vid shows their 10m2 tiles spread over the globe. In E2, its on a mercator projection, but the same size tiles at the equator as at the poles. Problem with this is that a tile in northern alaska ends up being about 2m square while a tile on the equator is 20m2. A tile on a pole would be infinitely small.

If it takes too much effort/time to make money, it’s not worth it. If that money takes twelve different steps to get though, it’s probably not worth it.
Just earlier today I was thinking about Magic the Gathering. I bought ~50 “shadowspear” cards for $2/card. Today, those cards are worth ~$21/card. It’s a physical, tangible thing I can hold with a supply and a demand. Sure, they may reprint the card tomorrow and I lose my investment, but that is the risk of any investment. I didn’t buy a shadowspear card to get 12 different currencies and a half dozen other steps to sell/buy. I literally buy the cards, hold them, then sell them. No calculus to figure out how to make money. Same when I buy stocks on the stock market, still risk, but no convoluted map needed to figure out where a profit MIGHT be made…

Well actually, EPIC did claim Fortnite Story Mode (Save The World) would become free to play the year after the BR was discovered, and it never did. So while dude may have been wrong about what he actually said, there is a bit of truth to it. Epic lied to attract people and then changed their mind to further push profit margins.
