    It's so sad how often the cheating spouse moves on and gets married while the betrayed spouse stays single and concentrates on the child. The same thing happened to me when my daughter was two. When she turned 5, I got 50/50. Custody eventually got full custody. Now my daughter is 19, still lives with me while she works and goes to school, and I'm still single. I wouldn't want it any other way.

      That's good when the father gets custody in these cases because the outcomes for children raised by single fathers are close to those raised in two-parent households (father and mother). The outcomes for children raised by single mothers, according to the CDC, trend out to be much worse.

    Alyssa's simple question, "Why doesn't mommy love us anymore?" cuts deep, highlighting the pain of a family drifting apart. The story poignantly captures the heartbreak of a child caught in the middle, and a father's desperate attempt to mend what's broken. Laura's choice to leave, despite her family's plea, leaves a haunting silence, questioning the sacrifices made in the name of self-preservation. It's a stark reminder of the fragile threads holding families together.

    The little girl's question: "Why doesn't mommy love us anymore?" she broke my heart and I felt my blood boil in my veins. Then I listened to the whole story in total resignation. When I reached the final part, when there was the confrontation with the ex-husband, I stopped and tears came to my eyes, especially when the ex-husband talked about the difficulties, the hysterics and the nightmares. of his daughter.
    I wonder how it is possible that a mother can get to this point while the contrast with the man's behavior towards her daughter is stark. She did everything for herself, he did everything for his daughter

    I am making this comment after only watching the first 11 minutes. I had to stop because my mind had stopped listening. I was reminded of a situation from back in 2017 when a mother of about 50 was in an Attorney's office begging her daughter to talk to her. Actually at one point on her knees. This happened almost 6 weeks after the ex-husband/father's funeral. Same basic beginning as told in this story. The mother was too busy with AP to be a proper mom. The daughter grew to hate the mom. That mom was never allowed to be present at the daughter's wedding and was never allowed to visit the grandkids. This meeting was because the mom had filed a lawsuit to get visitation, the lawsuit failed, but the Judge did order them both to see a therapist about their issues. I was in the room acting as a witness. This is not a problem unique to women. I know almost as many men as I do women who distanced themselves from their kids only to come to bitterly regret it years later. Most Children have this innate ability to see they are not loved. They WILL react to it.

    There's hardly ever a 'complicated' reason why she did it. She did it because she could, and liked sex and attention, and thought she could get away with it. She took her husband for granted, unaware of how much of her status and well being was dependent on her union with him. Thought she was all high and mighty because of her silly 'career'. And, of course: het clueless husband let her go work for strange men, who of course gained control over her.

    • @randysmith9636
      @randysmith9636 4 місяці тому +1

      That's it exactly. I, like you, have always said just break up or divorce. Why take the chance of getting caught, just leave. But as you said they still want the security and comfort of a hard working man. The house, money, savings, family, everything that women claim they want from a man.
      Do you realize that 1 in 3 men who take a DNA test the results are negative. Meaning they are not the father.

    So... a woman cheats on her husband while KNOWING he owns a business that specializes in covert surveilance.
    And why does she get to move on and marry another chump who will end up divorcing her when she cheats again, while the husband stays single.
    I realize that he got burned and never wants to go through that again, but cheaters should be banned from ever marrying again. Or at least have mandatory prenups in place.

    Staying with a cheating spouse is not good for the kids. It’s not in the best interest of the kids without trust you can’t love and raising a child in a loveless house is worse than being separated

    Zero progress with her counselor, jumps into a relationship with someone new I'm assuming right after her attempts to reconcile or during as I wouldn't put it past her, gets married 1 year after. Place your bets as to how long that marriage lasts, someone with her level of baggage, I'd give it a month tops.
    Hope OP makes to sure his daughter keeps her distance from her mother most of the time, she is not well in the head and you never want her kind of influence on a young child. I personally would not have let my daughter attend that wedding, 1 year and already jumping into another marriage after what she did, she requires years of therapy before even thinking of another relationship let alone marriage.

    • @THE-michaelmyers
      @THE-michaelmyers 6 місяців тому

      @@WeaponXSigma I agree. What a lot of people don't understand is the journey from being BPed to RPed can be very painful. Most men don't even see they lost their wives until it's far too late. Many years ago I was walking along Broad Street in Richmond close to the Federal Courthouse. I came across a man sitting on a planter. He was in shock. I can see that look from a mile away. It's very close to the “thousand-yard stare” some people have after a traumatic event. I stopped and just stood there for a minute, I was almost ready to get my cell phone out and call 911. This man and I finally had a conversation. He had just walked out of a restaurant after finding his wife far too close to another man he had no idea who he was. The wife did not see him and he walked out before she did. I asked him who could I call to come help. He said my brother lives in Hopewell. About 30 minutes later the brother and his wife showed up. I handed my business card to the wife and watched them help him. Several days later the brother called me and thanked me. Yep, the man began somewhat as a wuss, but was far from a simp, once he got his 2nd wind he went after her as well as her AP. My GF is a Family Law Attorney and her firm handled his divorce AS WELL as the AP's wife in hers. The firm also went after that business and they settled out of court. This case is why I don't advise calling a man who has just received a gut punch as a simp.

    If even the 3 year-old noticed, then you have f-cked up as a parent and spouse. You are ignoring/excusing WAY too many bad behaviors. She even ignored her daughter when she came home and started talking about her day until even the kid noticed and left.
    OP should have pulled his “dolled up” 304 across his knee and teach her how to act better to a little kid. Plus he “hoped she would come back to us” from her Vegas trip (after everything else so far)!? OP is too pathetic, raising a kid in a shattered home like that is worse than divorce (teaching her that disrespect and indifference in a relationship is normal).
