I knew there had to be a easier way . I have struggled with these motors for a while. Yes even tried a grinder with a cutting wheel. I'm going to check this out. Thank you !
I still can’t get Koepper out of there he showed me how to cut the ends and get that small Copper piece but he did not show me how to get the wind out of it
awesome, tired of scrappers throwing copper away, some look at this thing as not worth it, anything with copper in it, never throw it out, put it in the "figure out later" bucket or whatever you have. Someone somewhere will have the answer or you will figure it out, options for extra money are everywhere. Will put all these motors aside, got some electrics to strip and a bloody fan motor, seen how to do those the hard way, finding economical ways to better use my time!
Are you melting down the copper too?? I've been doing it since after lockdown lifted & was able to go back to work, I'm up to a lil over 100lbs of reclaimed copper in a bunch of 3.5-5.25lb ingots & I'm LOVIN it!! I don't have much on my channel about it, but I got a 10kg furnace from a company called Devil Forge, it runs an 8kg crucible & I've got all the tools to pour & clean up the bars.. I've also done a bit of aluminum & some brass too, it's a LOT of fun & it IS an expensive hobby, but once I hit my mark of 300lbs, I'll start making my money back from selling the copper to start buying silver stocks & physical silver.. The 10kg model I have set me back about $600 & the crucibles were roughly 30 each, the clamps were 75-100 each (you need one for extraction & one for pouring) then the gloves I got, rated for 1500°+ were maybe 50-75..
where would you sell the bars scrap yard won't buy it not knowing what's in the middle and are you getting the bars tested for purity just wondering because I was thinking of doing the same but an not sure
@@brandonwalsh8101 Well, if you've got an in at a scrapyard (which I do) there won't be an issue.. Plus, as far as purity goes, so long as you clean the metals as best as you can before melting & use some form of flux & scoop out all the slag, it should be 99.99%..
This was one of the first videos I recorded, at the time I was sick and my money was going to pay for treatment and bills while I was out of work. I could not afford nice new tools, most of what I used I found in the trash.
@@happyscrapper8655 I apologize I ment it with a grain of salt, I appreciated your video and the funny thing is I was trying to render copper from a stater yesterday and could not find my hammer, I think I was using a Cresent wrench instead, hope all is well and thanks for the good video it helped me out
Billy Bobb Cooking as in an OVEN or cooking as in a fire? Only problem (if you mean fire) is most scrap yards won't buy burnt copper. If they do, the price is much lower.
Again, I was using my money to pay bills and feed my family, tools I was using were found in the trash. Talk about investing, you could invest in some manners.
its easy if theres no glue in the copper... i wanted to see if you had a way to melt the glue away somehow without fucking up the copper enamelling.... :/

Do you have any jigs for stripping wire, ? I've been trying to rig a few things up?
Hand glouses are very nice.where did you buy
Great video. Very informative. Glad I found your channel.
All that copper will still have value on the day the paper dollar collapses.
Nice to see it done without power tools and like you say much safer and ideal if you don't own the power tools.
A 3ph, 220/240 VAC, 2HP motor brought me here. I too am now happy.
Oh Man, Thanks so much for this time saver. Two Thumbs up
I want you to show me how to get that copper out of the rest of it that’s got to be the hardest part
I will make a video and post it for you on that

Hey Bloke You are better off cooking these rotars in the fire to get rid of all the resin first ,,,, ..... Then they just about fall apart ..

If you are lazy it is too much work! I'd rather get 2.55 a pound instead of 10 cents a pound any day on these.
