great video ken. I sat in a seminar years ago and the key point was "failing to plan is planning to fail" everyone needs a path, there's lines on the road for a reason....
Thanks for this video and content! I am at the point of moving from a hobby to a business and talking with my tax and insurance people. Lots to consider LLC, proper name, mission and vision, etc. Congratulations on the new property. I rely on friends to allow my firewood interests come alive!
I don’t have many level spots to stack either. I try to keep them north-south as much as possible as Joe from OWB does to limit mold/mushrooms as well as take advantage of the prevailing wind. I stack on pallets that I put a pallet as an upright every 8’ similar to Brad over at firewood at the furnace and Chis in the wood did at his old yard. I stack in two rows on the pallet with an air gap. I can take slats out and use them as a support for the uprights. I’ve put rocks under the pallets where the 2x4s are to support them to help level them when I’ve run parallel to the slope. When I run up and down the hill I sometimes use at post to reinforce the upright. I’ll also stack the wood so it’s some what straight, ie put the odd shapes in to try to keep the stack somewhat plumb. If I see a stack stating to lean I’ll push it back plumb. The first year in I didn’t use the up rights and had a row fall over on a run that was perpendicular to the slope. Good luck and there is no wrong way. Keep up the great work you two!
Great video I ran business for a fortune five hundred company for 43 years. Everything you said was spot on and good tips for any business. Keep up the good work. The channel will grow and just remember to have fun.
@@billobermeyer660 Hey Bill I enjoyed my day at Brads and was fortunate enough to meet these guys and run their Axis. Just wanted to support them. Glad to see you here.

Our daughter is currently visiting her best friend, in Maine. Our daughter is from Texas and is no longer used to the freezing temps. I think she's getting her fill today! Stay warm!

I've been looking and asking everybody for available land for months. Turns out this came from a friend at church.

CRM - Customer Relationship Management. Often overlooked and without a robust system can take up a lot of an owners time.
I had a brain fart in trying to remember the meaning of a CRM! Thanks for commenting!

Is your new property close to where you live.
Only 10 minutes away.
And we lease the land. We didn't buy it. It belongs to a friend from church.
Take out the hill and fill in the low spots.. and lots of gravel to keep you out of the mud..
Thanks for the tip
