In 1997 I was listening to WKTU in New York City which had first signed on the air a year earlier and I heard them play "Freed From Desire" by Gala. I loved the song immediately and I went out and bought it, although I had to search for several weeks before I could find a store that had the song on CD. Anyway, I honestly don't recall any other songs by Gala being played on the radio in New York, but I've been a Gala fan ever since the day I first heard "Freed From Desire". To this day I support her music and search on UA-cam for clips of her performances.
