Nope. We are pieces of the One Source and as such are both it and its children. We are the Universe and our desires and experiences are expressions below of the macro above, the Universe itself. We can control what happens in the Universe because we are the Universe. As above so below. This is not the ego. It is simply the realization that Atman is Brahman. If you wish to construct a cage around yourself and state that you're not in control the Universe will gladly build the cage you request. The challenge is that when you resonate a desire, the way in which it manifests may not be what you're expecting because the Source is making moves in higher dimensions we don't have access to here, which is by our choice when we came here. That's where the trust comes in, the trust that the energy work you do will bring to fruition the work you want. In that sense we are co-creators. You are free to disagree but there is an entire world of beauty and creation at your fingertips if you choose to embrace it and be it.

My shadow tells me that I don’t have permission to relax in the moment because I’ve already messed up, so the rationale as to mess up more in attempt to not mess up. The thing is I trusted a lot when 12 years ago I took the brave step and moved into my own place. It was a big move at that time. For me. First step towards independence at age 30. I trusted the universe. And then I went on to get married another step of trust. And it was a horrid experience marriage in the most part. Really horrible. And I became unhappy. So trusting doesn’t guarantee things will work in your favour. It’s much to do with your past life karma

But there was one part that was confusing for me; in my experience, I feel too guilty to thank the universe for something that hasn’t happened yet; it feels very greedy, like thanking a friend for giving me money when I haven’t even asked them yet to find out if they even want to give anything to me, -it feels like expecting more than was already given, which feels like the opposite of gratitude. Would you mind telling me where my thinking may be off here?
