This is a shame I haven't seen a video for you in over three months. Looks like life is gotten in the way I can understand that. Hope to see you in the future time good luck.
@@sonicimperium I wish Tom or someone in the know would inform us if he is not dead, no matter what condition he's in. He is still on my mind now and then.
@@DanJ30 He's not dead, in fact he's going to conventions, etc. but got burned out on his channel. I found this out on Bad Grendel's channel. I also happened to catch Tom with his Star Wars car in a video someone else posted from a car show. I think it's rotten for him to have just abandoned his channel, that a lot of people followed for years, without even a simple goodbye.
@@sonicimperium It's nice to see that after five years of no videos on your channel, you've started posting your own. Let's catch up with you in 1,500 more. Let's see, you have 26 videos in one year now, that's one every 2 weeks or so. Not bad. Not weekly, but not bad. I haven't t posted a video in several years now and yet at 13yrs on youtube, I'm still averaging one every 3.17 days. Time to step up, Sonic. Ten per month is your challenge. Five every two weeks until you hit 1,500, sorry, 1,490 something uploads. And keep them mostly in the 10-15 minute range. Ready?
Bastard didn't tell no one! Just took off! What a jerk. lolz. Thanks for checking in, Anguragon. Too many shitty people treating me like I'm their employee, as if I owe them and should be doing things the way they say and when. :)
@@sonicimperium Even harder to believe there are people with such arrogant presumption as to dictate who and what others are and should be doing, when and how. What have you given me, Sonic Imperium, except your contemptuous judgement as demonstrated here? Ever submit one dollar to help the cause? I never asked, but you certainly never offered and are certainly showing no kindness here. Please point to every positive comment you ever made over my ~1,500 hundred videos. Of my over 2 million views, how many are you? Several dozen? A hundred against 2 million? What exactly do I owe you? Please elaborate. EDIT: Sorry, 2.66 million views. Let's see... Ah, almost 3,900 views for you. Cool. I was there once. It wasn't until my 3rd year I had a half-million views and my thousandth video uploaded. Hmmm... I see you don't list your subscriber count. In five years without posting videos, mine have only grown ~20% to over 7,700 from 6,500 back in in 2016. :(
@@ModelManTom Wow, you sure take things personally. Did you ask people to send you cash or something? How do you know who did or didn't buy your products? You've been off UA-cam so long, Patreon and most of the other ways to support creators probably didn't even exist then. If I was interested in a channel to count views or dream of making cash from, it sure wouldn't be making weird synth sounds set to odd video clips. It was a fun way to play around with things I've always wanted to play around with while being locked down at the whim of power-mad politicians before I could move my family to a free state.
I think its pretty hard to keep a modelling channel on UA-cam ongoing. Lots of video, plus editing with little replies or likes to videos. People like watching but give little in the way of likes or positive feedback. You can have 2000 views and only 10 likes but no negative feedback. In the end you think, " what am I doing it for" as the viewers don't even bother responding. Then you have UA-cam trying to shove you all the crap that isn't modelling in your face that you don't want to watch, its hard. Take it easy Tom :)
Summed up nicely. 2 million+ overall views, "if I had a penny, a dime nevermind an entire dollar for each", suddenly $20k a year for the effort is not so bad an enticement. The $300/yr I usually got is 'not' money. These days, that's 'a night out'. That kind of money doesn't get you and a date into disneyland for one day, not counting parking and food. Models were an escape from my day job of videos. The more the video took over my hobby to escape from the videos, combined with the amount of voices telling me what and how I am/should/did not do things right/wrong/different... Well, who needs an unpaid job with hundreds of bosses shouting? Even now, no other modeler does the same format I do and with such deeply appreciative viewers. Yet, many others have tens of thousands more views. Modeling is a niche hobby with no potential for 'youtube money' that keeps some people thriving, apparently. I miss it, but I still suffer PTSD from all the harangue and additional lies spread about me by a particular pair of individuals in the forums at the time.
@@ModelManTom Understand totally even when you look at some of the comments below you can see why its easy to stop. Hope you are well and model when you want/feel like it. Take care!
ModelMan can be seen, with his SW car at the 45:50 mark in this video taken this month (Aug '18) : ua-cam.com/video/6fdGlycaKXY/v-deo.html . So he's just not posting which is kind of a crappy thing to do for the people who followed his build for years.
@@MrBMBuilder I'm saying it's a DOUCHE move to put out videos for years then simply quit the channel without even telling people you're leaving for whatever reason that is. But you already knew that unless you're completely dumb.
Checked Ebay, the auction happened but no activity since then there or here. I hope all is well.
Last time he posted was six months ago on his gearsmctinkersome channel.
And I should add, he has some auctions up right now.
According to eBay, Modelman was in a car accident and is selling models to pay bills.
@@THEEND123321 It's fine. I forget the accident now... Rear-ended on the way to work, I think...

Tom, haven’t seen you on UA-cam in such a long time what’s what’s going oo is the business closed
Hey Tom I hope all is well. It would be nice to see you back in action again. Take care.
How's life been treating you Tom? How goes the X-wing/car build coming along? How's the 3D printer behaving?
Hope you're alive and well. We miss you.
It would be nice just to get some sort of info if he's able to.
