Love watching the channel. I just got a Fueltech ft550. I got about 10 runs on it and the data is just mindblowing. Yes. get a driveshaft sensor. That sensor will show every detail of wheel speed and where it's spinning.
Hell yeah, I’ve been testing a version of this for the last few months on the street. Works awesome. I don’t make as much power as you so mine is basically off at the track lol. But I set up three different rpm progressions that I can choose from on my dash with digital switches. Soft, medium and fast which covers 90% of surfaces. I wanted a limiter based setup so I make mine a hard line of -30deg amd let it interpolate on its own as it approaches the retard line. I’ll show some logs of mine on upcoming videos. Cool stuff as always man 👍🏼
Great informational video;the data log reviews you do are great as I'm learning this stuff for my recent Holley install. For these advanced tables, good data in = good data out!
I think the tricky part of traction control is setting the standard, make a clean pass and copy the graph. Problem is if you ever hit it harder or make a mistake the run is trashed.
I've heard some very smart people use engine rpm for traction control too, seems tricky when you start really changing boost and flashing the converter harder but I think it's a good idea.
This is some great information! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you post more stuff like this. I was curious what you shift at if it was revving past 8400??? I would have thought you would have set a rev limiter a little lower, but obviously you have a stout setup with that amount of boost and timing! Nice!!!

When you said you was taking that trophy everywhere 😂 I pictured you grocery shopping lugging that thing around. You should take to to the shop with you next time you go just to mess with everyone.
I was looking to see if Holly had a built in traction control, as when we put a terminator x system on our LS it feels like it lost 100hp in 1st. Tried talking with tech line, he just got mad when I suggested it was running lean and said we'd have to dyno it, so far we added 80% more fuel so?
thinking about your last example, the 5 second run. Implies one should make allowances so that a race is not lost because the computer doesn't let engine over "power" which would sort of defeat the purpose as regards the safety of not over revving the engine and potential damage. From that line of thought, how does this sort of table, and traction control in general, interact with the use of the scramble button?
Im building a ls turbo mustang And im haveing a hard time deciding on a holley system Would you recommend a terminator x Or go ahead and get the dominator And have you found or heard if drive by wire better than drive by cable or?
Dominator or hp. Terminator is good for daily driven vehicles that dont need more outputs and inputs. Plus the dominator and hp are just that much better and faster.

I love my ft550
One of your best videos John!!!!!
Love what you do on a budget. Keep up the great work.
We getting into some devin information here boys, I really do geek out to this stuff, freaking love it!
Such a nice guy! Its was awesome to meet you. Watch ur videos all the time!!

Wooweeeeeee damn I'm so happy for you and the car let's get another w this upcoming race so so so glad to see the car working

Lower Gearing change helped it hook, a higher ratio(lower#) will spin easier IF it breaks loose. In my experience
A lot of learning, right there. Excellent!
Fantastic...you have power... controlling it was a problem...now you know...
We got clobbered in nj, lost power and cell service since tues, got cell back yesterday and power tonight. What a miserable 4 days.
Good information im new to the holley stuff so its nice to know about this stuff 🙂
This should help allot folks out. Be interesting as you get more sensors.

Yes, you are right. My last pass I put more boost in it quicker, and it pulled the timing and tried to not let the rpm climb.
TC that is amazing info! Thanks so much for the lesson!
Better To Do It Yourself💪🏼 I was impressed with it
Good video john

Whatever leads to at-or-near 100 percent traction from A to B is what this car loves. 4.90's are just around the corner.
Pretty sure he's been low 4's with this car on the old setup before the hoosiers. I could be wrong.
@@mitchdenner9743 No, you ain't wrong. 4.52 is quickest, I'm pretty sure.
@turbojohn if you find out why you can't see you overlay let use know. I'm having the same problem with mine, its driving me crazy.
Really knowledgeable, great video! Thanks tj
Going to Piedmont this weekend?
No, we will be back at Kinston Thursday

Are you going to have to kill us now ? LOL

Hmmm, good thought. I may be cc’d able to tell the table to not activate if scramble is pressed. I bet I can! Good point, thanks!
Do you have a lockup converter and if so could that be an issue with it trying to lockup and that's where you get the wheel spin mid track
If this works, I am getting a Terminator X kit.
Hey buddy I could really use and appreciate some help with my new Holley set I’m in nc and can come to you
now your cooking with fire
That’s cool. 👍👍👍
So did you run mickeys without this set up ? Or could this be why that traction issue was resolved and the tires didn’t make a difference?
Im building a ls turbo mustang
And im haveing a hard time deciding on a holley system
Would you recommend a terminator x
Or go ahead and get the dominator
And have you found or heard if drive by wire better than drive by cable or?
Dominator has more capability. I have no experience with the drive by wire
Dominator or hp. Terminator is good for daily driven vehicles that dont need more outputs and inputs. Plus the dominator and hp are just that much better and faster.
Riding the dots
How does your HP or Dominator know what gear your in?
It can be set up to detect rpm drop
Did this have any success? Anyone?
Still curious
Uh oh lol
Niceee. 1st comment.
Oooops,,lol
