I am from Azerbaijan and I was in a summer camp this year. There were both Armenians, Georgians, and Azerbaijanis. First I had thoughts that we would have arguments. but I tried to talk to one of the Armenians, and I realized that there only problem is politics, there is no need for hate. At the end of the camp, I made many friends from Armenia. So what I want to say is that it is in our hands to make the Caucasus united. it is in our hands to respect each other. Just, make Dolma bastards, not war.
How happy it makes me to see content like this. We’re all just people divided by political borders. We we’re refugees from Baku and all my life I’ve never heard anything negative said about Azeris in our household, stories were mostly positive. There are good and bad amongst all races, ignorant is the person who thinks their race is superior. We share a lot of commonalities, yes dolma is one of them, and the differences is what makes each interesting to the other. Waiting for the next episode.
I’m also an Armenian from Baku. Honestly I was always accepting of where I was from, up until the 2020 war. The barbaric acts committed by them made me ashamed of where I was from. Peace would be nice but it seems so far away.
People don’t realize that war criminals are traumatized, psychologically damaged, spiritually disconnected lost souls. I believe both Armenians and Azerbaijanis have been through a lot of trauma in history that’s why people are so fear based and act irrationally (geography is a btch). Caucasus has been raped way too many times for anyone to come out healthy lol. (I’m healthy tho 🧘 ) Only Georgians are somewhat normal, they have learned that it’s best if they mind their own business, live the quiet Christian life. I admire them for these characteristics. If we want peace we have to stop seeing each other as inherently bad because we are not. I don’t view Armenians as inherently bad. If we keep being understanding and respectful we will inspire more people. And of course while doing this u are going to encounter hateful people, u are going to encounter ppl who are going to disagree with u. Not everything is black or white. I see this as the only way of breaking this cycle cuz otherwise our great-grandchildren will be going through the same issues.
I am an ex-IDP from Fuzuli, Karabakh and I have never heard anything negative about Armenians in our household too. My family used to tell stories about their neighbours/friends in the near Armenian villages, their visits to Hadrut, etc. After so much suffering, both nations deserve peace and proper standard of living. Peace be upon us.
your parents lived in the soviet azerbaijan and never told you about massacres of armenians by azerbaijanis there bw 1988-1991? do you even know why your family couldn't live in azerbaijan anymore?
@@8lilitu8 why are you asking?! Those who lived through such horrors, know too well of the atrocities that were happening. Our parents lived among them in Baku, if we didn’t like living there or were treated badly we wouldn’t be living there…of course up until the Sumgait pogroms. My mom’s side and dad’s side of the family were killed there. Even as we were leaving, my mom was in disbelief and thought we would come back one day, that this was temporary. We lived in peace and always wanted that friendship among both nations.

(I’m healthy tho 🧘 ) Only Georgians are somewhat normal, they have learned that it’s best if they mind their own business, live the quiet Christian life. I admire them for these characteristics. If we want peace we have to stop seeing each other as inherently bad because we are not. I don’t view Armenians as inherently bad. If we keep being understanding and respectful we will inspire more people. And of course while doing this u are going to encounter hateful people, u are going to encounter ppl who are going to disagree with u. Not everything is black or white. I see this as the only way of breaking this cycle cuz otherwise our great-grandchildren will be going through the same issues.
I am an ex-IDP from Fuzuli, Karabakh and I have never heard anything negative about Armenians in our household too. My family used to tell stories about their neighbours/friends in the near Armenian villages, their visits to Hadrut, etc. After so much suffering, both nations deserve peace and proper standard of living. Peace be upon us.
your parents lived in the soviet azerbaijan and never told you about massacres of armenians by azerbaijanis there bw 1988-1991? do you even know why your family couldn't live in azerbaijan anymore?
@@8lilitu8 why are you asking?! Those who lived through such horrors, know too well of the atrocities that were happening. Our parents lived among them in Baku, if we didn’t like living there or were treated badly we wouldn’t be living there…of course up until the Sumgait pogroms. My mom’s side and dad’s side of the family were killed there. Even as we were leaving, my mom was in disbelief and thought we would come back one day, that this was temporary. We lived in peace and always wanted that friendship among both nations.
