- This video showcases the Musitano Crime Family from Hamilton, Ontario. We take a look at their origins in Canada, back in 1937, to where they reportedly are today. Also included in the story is John "Johnny Pops" Papalia (The Enforcer), the Luppino-Violi Crime Family, as well as Vito Rizzuto, Montreal's former mafia boss.

I sold accident insurance policies door to door many years ago. I met Domenic Musitano in his home that way. It was my last call of the evening so I indulged in some of his home made wine (the best I have ever had to this day). We ended up staying up all night together drinking his extremely excellent wine. The next morning, he called enough people to fill my appointment book completely for two weeks. I set company sales records and got a promotion because of it. He sent me home with two bottles of his red and two bottles of his white wine. Two years later he gave me another four bottles to share with some poker playing friends because I had bragged about his wine to them and I told Domenic of my enthusiastic bragging about his fine wine in a phone call. He was a thoughtful and generous man if you were on his good side. I wish I had a cellar full of his wine.
I think this is made up
Bullshit he ain't chilling drinking all night with a stranger you could have been anything other than what you were...no gangster is just letting a stranger in an drinking with them all night especially in there home were they sleep an shit at
@@VitoDonatucci.jr.215ton.y2 I could care less if you believe me. He was a gentleman and my sales record of 110 new policies in the next week after his visit and 114 new policies in the week thereafter set a personal sales record - THAT is all a matter of historical record and can be double-checked. You must think I am an amazing sales person and he had no influence at all.
He liked that I recognized the type of grape that he imported to make his wine when I tasted it. It was because I am a wine connoisseur and recognized the quality of his home made product that he enjoyed my company. We had instant common ground in our mutual appreciation for fine dry wines. I was surprised that he did not use any of the local award-winning varietals but imported his grapes from California.
@@VitoDonatucci.jr.215ton.y2 It is funny that you don't believe this story but one of Domenic's nephews in Hamilton heard the story and he believed it. I don't care who believes it or not. I have nothing to gain or to loose either way.
@@PotPoet you shouldn't care who believes it ... I just don't believe a gangster would invite a stranger into his house to drink all nite you could have been a fake insurance guy an had a wire on or you could of Easily whacked him ...that's just not how gangsters move... especially Italian mafioso
Listen man. Your research is spot on well done. Thank you for making my day better
You crazy. You and the 60 People how like. how someone Killing another one or People selling drug make you feel better????
oh i didnt kno you was in Penn with us lol lol you clown like you know anything

ah Canadian History that they don't talk about. Good stuff, you got yourself a sub.
I thought the only mob in canada was rizzuto family.. no? Can you tell us more info about this please. Thanks 😃
@@Jason.cbr1000rr I suggest you go look at their videos, they got a ton of vids regarding canada and the mob.
@@Jason.cbr1000rr There is a lot of mob families in Canada. Both Calabrian and Sicilian!
honestly had no idea Canada was so violent in the underworld. I'm an Australian tho so we have no idea
@@trhoades2063 to be fair, most Canadians dont either.
There are so many good books covering Hamilton's Mob history. I have Whiskey King about Rocco Perri's bootlegging, The Enforcer about Johnny Pop's, and the Sixth family about the Montreal ties & Vito Rizzuto all the history between Montreal, Hamilton, NY, etc
I didn’t know Canada’s crime game was that deep. Great content!!!
This is baby food compared to the Rizzuto crime family and the shit that goes down in Montreal. The Rizzutos are considered the 6th crime family
@@AC-xp1ww the Jamaicans been moving mad bricks since the 80's too they just never end up getting arrested
@@ogkfabrication4180 😂 k.
The rizzutos still about thought they got killed off

mob reporter has so many videos and info on Canadians you would love it!
yea Mob reporter is bitchin'. videos are a bit short but still top notch.
Great channel man. Very interesting/entertaining, like the Canadian angle too!
There was a time when every vending machine in every bar and hotel in Ontario belonged to Johnny Pops. Chips, soda, chocolate bars, cigarettes - he took a cut from every purchase
Major cap
I grew up on Railway street and knew Jonny. He was actually a nice guy. He use to let me play the video games and keep the change that was stuck inside. I met Pat and Ang a few times. But they didn't say much to me. I always heard people talk about who was more powerful. And I think that was one of the main reasons Jonny was shot.
I remember they used to send guys to empty the machines at the caffes
@@shaynedonnelly374 not cap at all, it's true back in the day if you had a business Johnny Pops guys would pay you a visit and you basically had no choice but to put one of his machines in your establishment.
He must have made hundreds of dollars 😂
I love this my parents told me about Johnny pops he would buy them (my parents) and all the kids on the street ice cream.
Tony Musitano never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
His uncle told all the girl cousins he had small hands and it was very hurtful
STFU with that joke, it is really getting old
I remember asking for this, keep up the wonderful history work! Stay safe.
This is so crazy. I grew up in Hamilton and remember hearing stories about all this. My Nonno was even propositioned to join (not sure which family) but declined the offer. I met one of the Musitanos a long time ago, I knew Cece Luppino and for a short time Dominic Violi became a close family friend. I must admit though that I never knew the full scope of the Hamilton mafia's power and reach.
Now you're next, good one
@@DD-rh2sz that's not how it works
lol that is not how it works at all.
@@rockyraccoon3630 Yep. I writing this from beyond the grave.
My Nonno bought houses from one of them he got offered too but declined

Loved this not enough Canadian crime coverage
great video so many family that I didn't know. thanks
Awesome content just subscribed
Great video!! 10/10
Great video👌🏻
EXCELLENT VIDEO!
and poor audio
Only found your channel yesterday, fantastic really enjoyable and well made, I'm hooked now but before I go, you deserve to have so many more people watching your work, but with the quality your putting out I'm sure you will get there, keep up the good work...
Good Chanel
are you including the graphics and the quality of the audio and the narration voice. I think this channel would do better with a radio / documentary voice that doesn't vary or enunciate well. But the content is very good, undermined by the audio.
Good UA-cam channel glad i found it.
I have an Uncle who was involved in Organized Crime here in Ontario, he's older now almost 70 but he told me one of the best guys he's ever dealt with was Johnny Pops Papalia. Very honest, straight to the point, no lies, no bullshit, he would mediate disputes and he already knew what he wanted before he went in to any sit down. He said a lot of the Mafia guys tried to play games and were deceptive but Pops was a cut above them. Looks like the Musitano's got what was coming to them even though it took decades.
my grandfather got offered but decided. I’ve been in many business they own and owned at the age of 4- about 12 and didn’t even know it i always got free stuff from the bars and pizza places. Knowing now the history of those places i was shocked😂
@@Comedyhub0505 That’s not how becoming a made man works. Your grandfather would only be granted the opportunity to become a made man through putting in work and expressing a desire to become one. It’s not like the mob just goes around recruiting people to become made men like D1 scholarships. Either your grandfather lied or you did.
Do you know what corn squeezings are?
Wat tha Fawk!!
No You didn't
Most underrated channel I swear !
I wouldn't go that far. There are other channels that actually have live footage of the people they talk about. Rather than cartoon pictures illustrating a story we assume is being told truthfully.
Great vid 👍
My uncle and cousin golfed with Carm Barillaro back in the mid 90s a couple years before he was killed. They said he was easy going but his body guard was really intimidating with all of the fire power he packed
Your back!!!!!!! Let's goo!!!!
Awesome work! Another banger!!

Just found the channel 💯🍿 subscribed
u know it's poppin when that music starts up
Bro ong
I unironically love the school worksheet aesthetic of this channel
Very well done video
Who remembers the Parkdale and Sherman gangs back in the day in Hamilton? Id like to know how connected they were to the italian wise guys. The Red Devils also, who kind of disappeared when the Outlaws, Satan's Choice, Banditos, then the Hells Angels took over.
I grew up on balsam st south. I ran around all over that place
Finally. You owe us an extra video for the video you missed last week. 😅 Great content as always! ✌🏼
That was hard af!
proper video keep it up 💯
I'm just gonna show up fashionably late and say "about time, sir."
Wow this a blast from the past... Used to run with the Musitano under Dodongeeni banner... RIP Stevo and Micheal Schifooza.
Your content is fyerrrrrrrrrr🔥🔥🔥 dude
This was good but would be much better if you posted photos of the actual locations and added more clips of news reports
Great content. It would have been much easier to listen to without the background music but overall this was quite interesting.
this video was great bro. I was wondering if you could do a video on the Clark park gang because I live by Clark park and hung out there a lot as a kid. it's hard to believe the shit some of those guys got up to. they had a real history of being deliberately shot and killed by police because of this they fought back and grew a reputation for fighting with the police a lot and a lot of those guys are still alive today. hope you're doing well and thanks for reading my comment.
theres also a lot of info about them there's even a book about them.
Pat and I had the same accountant. I was just 10 minutes from the office where he got popped. You should do a vid on that hit squad in the clip you showed.
theres already a good one by the mobb reporter
Ang was killed in Waterdown, where I grew up. His brother was killed in Burlington in front of a furniture store that was a front to clean money. Anyway just wanted to clear that up.
I got into reading about all of this during the pandemic. There's lots about the US guys during Prohibition. I'm interested in knowing more about what was going on from our side. Some of my relatives were involved back in thw day but still wouldn't speak about it. They're gone now. Seems like our gangsters were smart enough to not talk. The New York guys are all over UA-cam talking about everything.
Windsor Ontario was huge during Al Capone's time. I had a friends Grandfather who met Capone in Lasalle outside of Windsor. Another friends parents owned a house with a huge walk in safe located in the basement. Which was used during the Capone era :-) Peace
One thing that discourages Canadians from talking is the no statute of limitations. In the states there’s a certain period of years after a crime in which if criminals tell someone about they can be arrested but after that statute of limitations they can say whatever as long as it’s not in court or something like that. In Canada you can say something 75 years after the crime was committed and still be charged.
Exceptional videos !!!!
U gotta gotta do a series on Kim bolan the reporter , chick has more info on the bc gang war than the useless rcmp could ever get
The videos are great! Could you do one about the Vernon Greeks?
The greeks are super small time by comparison
The bubble n squeaks were renound for raping the village donkey
Guess obesity isn't such a hindrance after all. RIP to a great Canadian legacy.
they call me big poppa
Pat was a bitch and could only use a gun. He got his ass beat multiple times while he was in jail.
I really enjoy the vids. I watch at .75 speed though, to understand what the narrator is saying with the voice mask.
I am embarrassed to say that as a Canadian I know much much more about the US 'mob' than I do about the Canadian mob. Fantastic and well researched video, thank you.
Subbed. Hoping to fix that knowledge deficit of mine about Canadian organized crime.
Do you have any infomation about the prositution during this time?
That guy who dragged his pregnant sister through the streets and then shot her outside her boyfriends house. That guy was a real jerk!
this was in Mussolini's Italy. And he was charged and sentenced there.

I did a year in Sprucedale with Michael Cudmore in 2000. We were on the same lodge. I sat with that dude at meals, played ball and lifted weights with pretty much daily. Crazy to see his face pop up, and then find out dudes dead, too. Crazy shit.

Grew up with Mike Cuddy. We met in youth detention. Good dude. Just didn't have anyone to point him in a positive direction.
Waaaaay better than netflix

Disgusting criminal justice system we have here. 10 yrs for murder and parole after 4 is ridiculous. In the end though they all got justice and it's better to just let them police themselves.
