The Burlington Historical Society's (BHS) United Empire Loyalists' (UEL) cemetery project got a boost from the City of Burlington.
The city has matched the non-profit's pledge of $5,000 toward the project, bringing the total to $10,000.
BHS made the announcement following the May meeting. Council made the decision to draw funds from its Neighborhood Campaign.

One of the BHS' plans is to produce a series of short videos explaining the project and the importance of the cemetery to Burlington. A link to the first video is here.

My mother cleaned Murray fisher and his wife’s house when they lived on highway 5. ( Dundas). In the early eighties. I remember meeting him a few times before he past away in his vegetable garden. I thought that was a nice way to go.
