Rare Allis Chalmers Industrial Model IB - Classic Tractor Fever TV

Bill Black and Bernie Scott show of their collection of Allis Chalmers IB Tractors. The IB were an industrial version of Allis Chalmers Model B Tractor. The IB’s have a lower center of gravity with a straight front axle and heavier frame. About 2,800 IB Model Tractors were produced from 1938 to 1952. A few uses for these industrial models include snow plowing, airport towing, and hauling freight in factories. I have a 1950 IB that I found in a scrape yard , love the look on peoples face when I take it to parades . It’s a great fun little tractor .

This model i never knew my father sold allis chalmers 35 years until 1967 last models i sat on was the ed 40 (english and fd3 french) the IB is really a I want it, send me you allis cap i envy you it's a pity the allis brand is not there anymore should come back

i own a 39 Ag B best tractor i've ever driven.

The first tractor I ever drove was a 1936 Farmall F 12. It had an 'arm strong' starter, also called a crank. The only electricity to it was the magneto. We had some horse drawn equipment that we pulled behind the tractor. I wonder how many people know how to rake hay with a sulky rake?

Ft Howard paper mill had a fleet of them, they were finally retired around 2000, and brought a remarkable amount of money and interest after all those years of service

Anybody know if wd fenders are the same as what’s on the ib?? Ib and B fenders seem different

Four IBs and only one has the correct under-hood muffler, which was purposely designed for the industrial version of the model B.

It just keeps getting harder and harder, finding a good ol tractor to hobby with. Seems their mostly hidden away in a collection somewhere!...sad really.
