I remeber I bought this CD just for one song. More than 20 years after I think it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. WHAT AN ALBUM!!!
I bought this cd at a rest stop when it came out. Reception was so bad up north at the time my dad needed something to listen to. And I've been a fan ever since.

As we head into 2022, I never dreamt in 2000/01 that I would still be getting chills to this song. Your music Dido saw me through, can only think that losing myself in music then allowed me to survive long enough to heal and revisit all of these sounds with new ears. 20 years ago as a 16 yearold this was the most intensely beautiful song i had ever heard....and its still right up there.
This is one of a handful of songs that I’ve ever listened to that created immediate imagery-like a music video in my head. It’s a virtual reality experience every time I listen to it. Now, however many years later after I first heard it, I am sitting here bawling my eyes out from the intensity. This is an example of when music becomes an experience (for me, anyway.)

This song taught me what it's like to fall in love with existence. The existence of hate, love, sadness, joy, and life. It taught me that I can really be addicted to sounds that change my mood and thought process, that I can truly love something so much that with or without it I would be lost. I kind of wish there was a video clip for this one, it's totally deserving of its own single.
I often imagine my own clip though. Usually something in motion, like flying, or even something "on top of the world", on a cloudless night. But no one else in the music video, only Dido.
This track is a mix of feelings... nostalgia (disco-like rhythm), hopefulness, joy, empowerment...

This song came out around the time I was 14 and I had the CD. The house I grew up in kind of faced west and some afternoons the sun would come through the trees real calm and pretty. I'd sit at the window around sunset sometimes with my CD player and listen to this just zenning out.

I was living in Los Angeles. 1998, 1999 I think. I picked up this CD. I spent a lot of time with this song. In fact, I used to sleep to it on repeat. It made me feel less lonely. Even in my sleep.

*sighs* How do I explain this. When my dog was getting older (he will pass tomorrow) I wished that everything could be different since I was hooked into devices. The fact that I haven’t spent time with my family recently and since I haven’t finished listening to this album, this song gave me the confidence that everything could be better. The confidence that I could make better decisions, the confidence to keep going, etc. After all, maybe it’s time for me to be different, maybe it’s time for me to change, overall this song will stick to me the most, because it made me feel different today.

Todavía recuerdo su voz, sus gemidos y caricias, es ahi cuando este trascendió de ser un acto y se convirtió en luz, todo era cálido y placentero, mi deseo de entregar lo mejor de mi y recibir lo mejor de ella, descubrir su naturaleza y saber de que estaba hecha. Y los cuerpos dejaron de estar solos y se fusionaron en 1 solo, uno con el universo, unos con el creador y uno en el amor. Ahí supe que Dido es la mejor artista que he escuchado, gracias Bella, eres la mejor.

This CD was intense for my formative years.
By far my most emotional musical memory from yesteryear. She even had a concert special released on dvd that was almost this whole album and one or two more songs and it was soooo ethereal and emotive.

Love the fusions this song have: House, Brazilian Batucada and 70's Disco strings. It was 1999 since then you can hear this fusions copied by Madonna, Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware, even by Kali Uchis and so many other Pop female artists music producers. But Dido, as well as Everything But The Girl, Faithless, Saint Etienne, St. Germain even Björk were the first doing this kind of modern sounding Pop music in the 90's.
