This room is filled with love ♡your love ♡Thank you for being here♡i would like to extend a warm welcome to our musical guests, Michael Manring + Calum Graham whose music leads our soul towards Beauty…. to Heaven. ♡Ranger Bob especially loved Michael’s lovely masterpiece Selene and Calum's soulful masterpiece, The Nomad. Thank you both for traveling to Yosemite for Ranger Bob's memorial🤗
Ranger Bob...Clearly, this noble man lived to serve his family, his country, his community. May his soul, which ever trained to save others, find eternal reward in the arms of Jesus.🕊The Tehachapi nuns….

Bob touched many people over the years. How wonderful to hold your precious time together in your heart forever. I’m sure he’d want you to gather strength from your memories and build new ones! He was so positive! I’m sure Bob will be in your heart always… it’s hard to think of Yosemite and of him not being there… yet I’m sure his spirit soars there …Bob was a good friend we worked at Badger Pass Ski Resort, Yosemite together and he was my neighbor in Park Service Housing. My daughter AnnE loved him since she was tiny. He was always so knowledgeable and so positive!! I shall always hold him dear in my heart. He was a special person…My husband was The Director of Ski Patrol at Badger long before Bob was… he also was a Ranger in The Valley and Wawona … I have spent over 50 years in and out of the park.. lived in the Valley close to 25 years …Yosemite is so dear to me. Hugs I’ll do my best to be there… certainly in Spirit if not physically! . Bob had such a wonderful smile.. He told me He loved what a character I was, I made him laugh. He told me I was a good and loving mama. - Ridgley

In 2020, after hearing Farewell for the first time (a live duet by Calum + Michael at the Michael Hedges Tribute, Musicarium2018, on UA-cam), i asked Michael if Calum had written Farewell for Michael Hedges. No, but for me, it will always remind me of the late great Michael Hedges... and now, my dear best friend Ranger Bob.

Fantastic stuff chaps. I've just watched all your videos with Michael, very much enjoy his work and now yours too. You play some beautiful melodies. Can I ask a really lame tech question?! Is Michael going straight to PA via his Boss floor jobby and using those Mark Bass line array things for a little top end clarity behind the speakers, or is the cab on the floor behind him actually a complete Mark Bass mini PA and he's using it just for the bass? I don't know why this matters to me, I'm just intrigued! Cheers, Ben.
Michael is only playing through a Mark Bass rig with a sub and 2 line array's. He is not running through the PA at all. It's amazing the sound he gets out of that system! All of the sound in the video was captured through a pair of mics setup about 6ft in front Calum and Michael.
@@folsomdesign6814 Thanks for the response, much appreciated! Interesting that he's choosing to play through what is essentially a Mark Bass PA as opposed to one of their bass rigs. Quite unique, although he's a unique player so I wouldn't expect anything less. Also cool to know we're hearing the room, I wasn't sure whether they'd gone direct, plus a room blend for our ears here on UA-cam. To get that balance on a pair of mic's, it must have sounded stunning in person. Thanks again, Ben.
