The gig bag has now been tested. Protects really well. My wife knocked over my guitar today, by accident. It was in the gig bag. Fell on to the front of the guitar. I heard the strings make noise. I freaked out. Took the guitar out of the gig bag to check it. Nothing wrong with it. Was even still in tune. Gave it a kiss and put it back.
I took a good look and I saw three pieces of wood in the body, so that's one of the corners they cut. That said, I can't call it a deal breaker and I didn't. I ordered mine this morning.🎸
I have two American Strats and two Les Pauls and a few other guitars. I was looking to buy a new guitar...but just couldnt bring myself to pay the high prices these two companies are asking for their guitars. Their high prices are now driving me to look at other options. So I saw the various reviews on the Donner DST 400. I bought this exact guitar from Amazon. Four days later it arrived. I opened the box, tuned it up and it was ready to play. Actually I couldnt believe it. I played on it for a few days and it stayed in tune and had no issues. I am very happy with this guitar. After a week I decided to really put in some TLC on this guitar because it is a keeper. So I changed the strings and put some oil on the fretboard and polished it up. This guitar is very nice, and at $259.00 ..I saved $1300,00 if I had bought one of the two bigger named company guitars above. I am an intermediate to advanced player.....so when I whip this guitar out ,,,next time I play a gig..some of the guys will be surprised. I had a great experience with this guitar and hope you do t
Yep. My first electric guitar was an no-name LP copy, with crazy high action. Must have weighed about 15 pounds, too. I sort of have mixed feelings about it, though. I like the idea of having to 'work for it', when you're starting out.
@@randysutton2120 yeah I know what you mean…I still have my first electric guitar…it was a Status bolt on neck LP style guitar…it’s horrible and won’t stay in tune …but I learned how to tinker with guitars to make them work
Donner have slayed it with this guitar, I've been trying to order one for months! Only available right now in Australia! No where else! The green is perfect! And with the aged white humbucker, it gives it a great overall vintage look. I could buy any guitar for upto £500 right now, but it's the only one with the exact green colour I want, and all the reviews are great for this guitar, vintage style tuners, split humbucker pot, and perfect set out the box! All reviews are amazed by it fir the price. It's defo my next guitar.....but zero available right now, unless u want it in black! Seems everyone wants that killer green! I googled green guitars and none have this perfect green! A few Olive greens I like but for about £300-£400 more! 😳
It might be time to stop qualifying praise for inexpensive gear as "value for money" and just give them credit for being quality kit. The bigger brands need to step it up and separate themselves again.
Australians don't know how lucky they are, you can't even get this guitar in US or Europe right demand is so high! C'mon Donner, give us a chance instead of sending it to all the utubers! I've been trying to order one for 3 months! 😳

The Sire is a much higher quality guitar! This is a great guitar for beginners or possibly for someone who’s into modding guitars…for the price it’s a really nice guitar…I genuinely like playing it BUT it’s nowhere near the quality of the Sire!
I got one of those noticed a two-point traveler system the screws that hold them or not aligned perfectly they're crooked that causes one string on the end the runoff all-time a lot of buzzing not a good guitar
Consistency is always a bit of a problem with budget gear! If you haven’t had it for too long send it back and get them to send you another one! This one was great out of the box…but these things can be hit and miss…even with big name brands!
Oh yea it can be that cheap, just try and adjust the height of the strings on the bridge and watch the holes strip out after a few turns. The nut was the cheapest plastic they could find but was cut decent. It did have a nice neck for the price and the paint job is good but the coils are mediocre, all of them. The pots were not scratchy and the switch worked. Then there is the bridge, piece of junk.
My kids have been playing this guitar since I’ve gotten it and they seem very happy with it…it stays in tune and sounds pretty good to me! Like we said…as a beginner guitar it’s great value for money…I wouldn’t use it as a guitar I’d gig with! But as a starting point if you are into modding guitars it’s great…in my opinion
You’re joking right? I mean I’ve played several more affordable models by Donner, and they compare well to my higher range Squier’s, and even one of my lower end Fender’s. It’s either that you can’t play well, or you got a defective model.

I purchased this guitar from Amazon Canada. Looks beautiful and well packed but has lots of noise and is way too heavy! returned
