Tartan Accessories w Tweeds or Mixing Tartans? Can you "Cross the streams" ???

Tweed kilts, while having been around for well over 150 years, are currently on the upswing in kilt fashion. They look great while also subdued and earthy. Sophisticated yet humble.
The latest twist on tweed kilt fashion has been the creation of 'tweed tartans' - that is tweeds that look a lot like regular tartan cloth in terms of design,. or established tartans rendered in a tweed fabric with marled yarn to add softness and rustic beauty.
