Wonderful video. The hotel looked amazing, so did all the food. I love sushi, have been eating it for over 30 yrs, used to make it for my self, when it was easier to get sushi grade fish The dress looked wonderful on you, afternoon tea looked scrumptious. Live confidently and peacefully
Once again, well done, and very informative…what a beautiful resort. Was it all inclusive? It was really interesting to see the various foods served for each meals of the day. I can see a very big difference between the typical American cuisine, and that served on Okinawa. The public baths were very interesting and not something I am at all familiar with. I wouldn’t even know where to begin, let alone how to properly use one. Great video, once again, I’ve learned so much…thank you!

I really enjoyed this one being a longer video! I discovered your channel just the other day and have been binging your videos, they are really great, but this was my favorite yet because of the length and variety. Though I realize a big resort naturally provides more content opportunities than a small hotel :) For this ANA InterContinental resort, I think the room was a bit disappointing for a resort of this level, but everything else looked really nice, I would happily stay for maybe two days as a quiet getaway. I am from Hawaii and also spent time in Saipan, so Okinawa is quite interesting to me, I think some aspects of it would feel very familiar. Mainly I want to visit the Japanese mainland, there is already so much to see, but if I had the opportunity I think I would really enjoy a visit to Okinawa. I need to find some videos showing more of the island and towns. Your outfits are cute by the way! I assume you intentionally do not make the channel about yourself, but I wanted to leave a compliment.

Thank you for the long video today. Now that is what I call an amazing hotel. It looks good from the outside and inside. It's great to splash out on staying in a luxurious hotel every once in a while. The room you had was spacious and it came with a balcony that had a very nice view. It's just a shame about the weather you had in Okinawa. They should have renamed the Sunset Cruise into Grey Cruise!!! I've never seen a hotel serve honeycomb before. The food that was served at the restaurants looked incredible. May I say you always dress very elegant in your videos. A very enjoyable video. Have a great weekend and take care of yourself.

The first impression of the ANA InterContinental hotel and the way they have things set up is that it looks like a very large ship as well as the inside. I mean this in the most wonderful and positive way. You covered everything so well and we got the feeling we were there with you on this awesome adventure. I live in California but grew up in Washington State, north of California. Maybe that explains my affinity for rain because I do like it. About ten years ago my wife and I went to Disneyland in California. It rained. At first, it seemed a bad thing, but we dressed for the weather and left our hotel for the park. This was right before Christmas and the crowds I expected were absent! The rain had convinced most to stay home. We had most of Main Street to ourselves and it felt like we had most of the park to ourselves through the first hours until the rain let up. I will say this about rain. If it is raining, stay off the rollercoaster unless you have a face mask! Ouch. :D

Looks like a great property to visit, seemed a little pricey for a standard type room with a ocean view, for the money maybe 60 sq. Meter suite room with a separate bedroom. But I guess inflation is everywhere! 🤣🤣. fantastic you were able to enjoy a big splurge! That black dress looked AMAZING! I’m sure many wives at the resort were telling their husbands “hey you stop staring at that lady!!” 😙

The room decor did not match up with the lobby. The amenities / spa look great and food look delicious also I like the fact the menu were in Nihongo & English.

one of the highlights is my black dress!??? thank youuu! hmmm....resort fee...I don't think so. Probably it depends on the hotels, but not in this hotel. I will let you know if it happens to me when I stay in other hotels :)
The tattoo rules in public baths seem to only apply to visible tattoos, as some people just get uncomfortable seeing tattoos and what the implications of tattoos used to be. I have two small tattoos that are not visible even without swimwear unless I really show you, I asked staff in multiple places and they just said it was okay as long as the tattoos aren't on display 😏 (always check with the staff though) Some baths allow swimwear, so you can additionally cover your visible tattoos if visiting one of those, which gives you a few more options.
Wow, that place looks amazing! When you say it is not reasonable, do you feel like you are not getting what you are paying for, or that it is just expensive because it is a luxury resort? Thank you for sharing this experience while on vacation with your girl friend! Seem like the only place I have seen with a bathroom with a view, lol!
Ahhhh, I do think that I got what I paid for, but it's just expensive compared to other regular hotels. That's what I meant. It's worth to stay in this hotel :)
@@travelloveranna I think it is overpriced ... (but then, Okinawa is primarily a domestic holiday destination and they get away with such prices ...) It is a nice hotel but I guess you pay for the view and non-room related amenities ... The room furniture seemed worn and should have been repaired/replaced a while ago ... For 500,-$/night (low season) I´d expect room furniture without these many scratches/dents. But other than that the hotel seems to be ok.
@@travelloveranna Good morning ! You are right, food, sunset cruise and water park included certainly help to balance the price/value ratio but to me it still remains on the pricier end ... But then, on vacation one might be willing to pay a bit more than usual ... Still the condition of the furniture that you showed was a big no-no for me. It doesn´t matter if everything is clean and nicely arranged. Well, that´s only my personal opinion, of course.(I´m German - maybe i´m a bit pedantic on such issues ...)

A return ticket from Osaka to Okinawa is less than US$100. That's very reasonable especially considering the ANA hotel is US$500 a night. It looks like the hotel room furniture is dated too.

When she says rainy season she's not joking. In mid-'72 I endured 2 weeks of never-ending downpour during a monsoon. Try that without tv and the ipads, phones of today.....borrrrring. Could barely find your way to the mess hall at Camp Schwab. Still, a great year, wish i could have stayed longer and always wanted to return, but.......not to be.
The breakfast looks overall very tasty. But it is different from a European breakfast. H&M is also available in Germany. The evening buffet looked really very tasty. When it comes to sushi, I'm a bit reluctant. By the way, I watch the video while I eat breakfast. :)
Wait a minute, no swimsuits allowed? You are bathing with strangers & showing your assets to anyone who wants to see them. Also no tattoos? That is confusing to me. If someone could please help me understand this, that would be appreciated. Thanks
no, in Japan, we are naked to take a public bath.haha to me, it's weird to have a bath with swimming clothes :D and no tattoos because we used to think that people with tattoos=yakuza or something. and the public bath try to avoid any problems. nowadays, it's different but still most of hotels say "no tattoos".

天気がイマイチで残念でしたが、部屋からはオーシャンビュー、そしてプールや大浴場😁
天気が悪くてもホテルの中で楽しめそうです！ 何より大きなお風呂に浸かれるってのが最高の贅沢ですよ(うちにはバスタブない😭)
海に夕日が沈む所見たかったです....今こちらもモンスーンシーズンで、雨が多いんですよ💦

hmmm....resort fee...I don't think so. Probably it depends on the hotels, but not in this hotel. I will let you know if it happens to me when I stay in other hotels :)
The tattoo rules in public baths seem to only apply to visible tattoos, as some people just get uncomfortable seeing tattoos and what the implications of tattoos used to be. I have two small tattoos that are not visible even without swimwear unless I really show you, I asked staff in multiple places and they just said it was okay as long as the tattoos aren't on display 😏 (always check with the staff though)
Some baths allow swimwear, so you can additionally cover your visible tattoos if visiting one of those, which gives you a few more options.

Wow, that place looks amazing! When you say it is not reasonable, do you feel like you are not getting what you are paying for, or that it is just expensive because it is a luxury resort? Thank you for sharing this experience while on vacation with your girl friend! Seem like the only place I have seen with a bathroom with a view, lol!
Ahhhh, I do think that I got what I paid for, but it's just expensive compared to other regular hotels. That's what I meant. It's worth to stay in this hotel :)

It is a nice hotel but I guess you pay for the view and non-room related amenities ...
The room furniture seemed worn and should have been repaired/replaced a while ago ...
For 500,-$/night (low season) I´d expect room furniture without these many scratches/dents.
But other than that the hotel seems to be ok.

But then, on vacation one might be willing to pay a bit more than usual ...
Still the condition of the furniture that you showed was a big no-no for me. It doesn´t matter if everything is clean and nicely arranged.
Well, that´s only my personal opinion, of course.(I´m German - maybe i´m a bit pedantic on such issues ...)

A return ticket from Osaka to Okinawa is less than US$100. That's very reasonable especially considering the ANA hotel is US$500 a night. It looks like the hotel room furniture is dated too.

When she says rainy season she's not joking. In mid-'72 I endured 2 weeks of never-ending downpour during a monsoon. Try that without tv and the ipads, phones of today.....borrrrring. Could barely find your way to the mess hall at Camp Schwab. Still, a great year, wish i could have stayed longer and always wanted to return, but.......not to be.

The breakfast looks overall very tasty. But it is different from a European breakfast. H&M is also available in Germany. The evening buffet looked really very tasty. When it comes to sushi, I'm a bit reluctant. By the way, I watch the video while I eat breakfast. :)

no, in Japan, we are naked to take a public bath.haha to me, it's weird to have a bath with swimming clothes :D
and no tattoos because we used to think that people with tattoos=yakuza or something. and the public bath try to avoid any problems. nowadays, it's different but still most of hotels say "no tattoos".
