I loved your breakdown of this episode, especially having the clinical info on the screen. Your level of detail is fantastic. Happy to be a new subscriber- looking forward to more analyses!
Thanks!! Currently working on episode 2 and 3. Episode 2 will be a little longer review given a few big clinical things, but glad you are enjoying it. Thanks for the subscribe!!
I'm not a doctor, but as someone that spends a lot of time in doctor's offices and hospitals.. this is easily one of the best medical dramas I have ever seen. Also, it seems to be one of the most realistic.
This is great! I’m planning to go into ER nursing after I get my RN (I’m an RPN or practical nurse but have been floated to ER units to care for stable admits-to-no-beds in my previous job), so I love hearing about real experiences from doctors and nurses in the field.
Obviously, they're not gonna do anything dangerous on live extras (re: the LUCAS) but otherwise, I've seen reactions by other doctors on YT being impressed with how accurate the show is just from the first episode.
@@AdderTude yeah it’s impressive but needs better. And for the Lucas. Again, as I mentioned. If the editorial cut is just right or it’s a realistic body you can give that appearance.
@@AdderTude and I did this channel as a reaction yes, but this is more than a review. I called it a critique. We are looking at details that some doctors reviewing don’t discuss. When episode 2 and 3 is done and posted you will def see more of what I mean. Episode 2 critique is a little more extensive. Doctor Mike just posted a review, great review for sure, but you will notice how in depth this went beyond his especially coming from an ER doctor where I am critiquing on a different level.
I think the amount of criticism in the review depends on the doctor’s specialty. I would expect an ER doctor to have a more detailed critique and “nitpick” certain things for a show set in the ER setting compared to a family doctor like Dr. Mike (although he would have had rotations in multiple specialties as a med student, he is more removed from this specific context). I have seen another ER doctor who was also critical about different details in the first episode of this show.

You will def love the episode 2 review for sure. Hoping to post within the next week or so just with the amount of medical detail!
Thanks for the video doctor!! You’ve made a really interesting and novel learning resource as well. Can’t wait for more episodes (and more shows)
Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you loved the review and critique. 2nd critique coming soon

Nice reaction thanks for takint time fo these
Glad you enjoyed!!
I love how you dealt with the moment of silence. When you see things often it’s also necessary for your own humanity.
I’m working on episode 2 currently and will hit a few key topics. Glad you enjoyed the first video.
Great commentray doc!!! Loved it!!!!, super informative❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Wasn't a fan of them not doing compressions at all…
A detailed breakdown of this episode alone could take 2 hours
Easily for sure! Episode 2 could take even longer, working on that one currently.
Could I recommend Code Black as another ER based medical drama to react to? There's only 36 episodes total
For sure. Brand new channel. Working on episode 2 and 3 currently of the Pitt. Was debating on the good doctor vs code black next.
@ Code Black is definitely more ER focused and Good Doctor is quite widely hated by the autistic community
Great video! Was the resident doctors concern about the calcium gluconate becasue of a potential for hypercalcemia? - med student
@@christianheco8648 likely yes, but the monitor/ekg changes are not typical of hypercalcemia and none of the patient’s story indicated hypercalcemia.
And thanks for the like:) my first comment on my new channel
