Mae Axton along with son Hoyt Axton were among the Elite in the Music Industry. Moma Mae Co-Wrote Heart Break Hotel, Elvis Presley's Break Out song and Hoyt has written and sang a bag full of big hits plus had a pretty good acting career.

I'm from Broken Bow OK the Axton family lived behind us for several years. Coach John was one of the best men in our community. Mae - Hoyt well they speak for themselves. Talented!!

Thanx for taking the time to send in a comment John. Like you I think Hoyt was a special talent. He excelled in Singing, Song writing and was a good actor too. He was also instrumental in getting Blake Shelton heading in the right direction too. He wrote and gave "ole Red" to Blake. His mother was a talented song writer and legendary producer in Nashville.

Hi Julie, Thanx for taking the time to reach out. She was amazing and was loved by Dolly Parton. Okie legend Blake Shelton kinda owes his career to both her and Hoyt. They were both amazing and their contributions to Music and in Hoyts case Music, Film and T.V. will live on forever. I hope you have time to check out some of our other Podcast stories.
