That was an awesome teaching lesson for CCR. All intermediate guitar players had to be able to play this and down on the corner in the 70's to even be acknowledged as some type of guitar player. There were others but those were usually first. Excellent job of breaking down rhythm patterns. Thanks so much.
Hi Lauren. Huge fan of your channel. Been playing guitar for about 5 years and have always played “cheat” chords instead of barre chords. Decided to just plow into barre chords regardless of how they sounded and this was a great song to work on Bm and F chords. Still not ready for Tina Turner version yet😂
Hello Lauren, you are really amazing teacher, at same time you became a motivation to me after read your site. I am from Slovakia and the repertoire you teach is very nice. Almost all musics that I love are there. I have some shoulder problems (not guitar related) but it is difficult with dread guitar, for example, to keep training everyday at least 2 hours with some intervals I managed a 3/4 fender folk guitar, and a electric guitar with acoustic efect pedal so I can learn with headphones as well. Do you think it can create any problem on learning?
You did a really awesome job with this tutorial, ❤it. I’m a CCR fan and I already play Who’ll stop the rain and Have you ever seen the rain. Now I will try to master this one by the way it will be the first time I am going to try it. Thanks very much for your efforts to teach us 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊, my kindest regards.
Your videos are the best I just wanted to put that out there. I really enjoy watching your tutorials. They helped me come a long way since I’ve picked up the guitar 15 days ago.😇
Great lesson Lauren! I put those strings you gave me the link to ,on my electric Acoustic ( D'Addario EXL110-3D ), and they sound great,Thank You. I've been playing for about a year and a half ( I'm 64 yrs. ). Could you please do a lesson on Michel Pagliaro's song " What The Hell I Got ".Every word in the verses is a different chord! They're easy chords, but I find it a very " Hercky- Jerky song. I can play it about half speed, but at full speed, I 'm a bit behind. Cheers !
wauw the ease with which you're doing this AND talking AND singing AND singing and timing, beyond believe. I have so much trouble getting that F-chord (is it coincidence or did guitar designers especially choose those chords to be F-ing-chords ??? hahaha). Are there guitars for guys with big hands? My fingers seem to overlap the next string in any position :-(
This is a classic that is worth learning correctly to give it a more recognizable sound as John Fogerty does it. His guitar is tuned down a full step and then uses chords a full step down. D Bb D Bb A G E. A deeper fuller sound,, and as a bonus, no F chord.
You're awesome ! Just started watching your videos. Very good. I just bought a Epiphone hummingbird. Learning all over. What strings do you use on your acoustic guitar ?
Hi Kevin, I use 11s Phosphor Bronze. See the link below: www.amazon.com/dp/B000OR6I14/ref=as_sl_pc_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=extfitnow-20&linkCode=w00&linkId=548ca9d08bb2a12c5ea817f4b6ece9c8&creativeASIN=B000OR2RNM&th=1&psc=1
Thank you so much ! I was living in Connecticut for 32 years, came to Florida 7 years ago. If I was up there, I'd love to meet you and have lessons with you for sure. Your so cool. Love that personality of yours. Super person !!!
"Learn to strum in 10 min." Hey -- I have no problems strumming. As long as I don't have to change chords. 😂 It's when you want me to do both that I get screwed up.
Hi Steve, would depend on the blueprint you are following and your practice routines. If you're not following a system, that could be a big part of the reason.

What does - and + mean?
+ is the eight note count.
3:34 You said the A is Up, G is Up and F is Up. Just curious, b'cos you strum it downward. 🤔
This is me explaining the timing. When I play it, I play it as ups.
Hi a beginner here...
❤😊
I've had a guitar around me for 47 years and I still don't play.
But a Crack head on the corner can play great, am I missing something?
