Sadie Marquardt is an inspiration and icon to her students and fans around the world and serves to empower people through the captivating art of Oriental Dance (Bellydance). I love Sadie bc she actually “belly dances” ...a lot of belly dancers I see don’t really do the traditional belly movements like Sadie does...and to me the belly movements, the shimmies, and the use of long hair incorporated into the dance is truly what makes this the most beautiful dance there is. @@hollymonroe6232 It's not exactly meat, either. When she was pregnant with her son she experienced a diastasis recti.abdominus, as do most pregnant women. It doesn't always return to pre-pregnancy shape, and sometimes there's nothing you can do. The connective tissue is stretched and it doesn't unstretch.

Her technique is unmatched. She is really belly dancing. Most people do "hips dancing " rather than belly dancing if you see what I mean. Every part of her belly is dancing the top, the middle, the lower, the sides. It's not just about moving hips around she is very delicate with each movement. One of my favorite dancers, and an excellent representation of what the dance is about. My only 'dislike' would be the front of the skirt. I was never into wearing my skirts that open, as I'm not fond of crotch shots during turns or some other moves.

Beautiful is all I can say. I'd say in terms of artistic aesthetics it's massive inspiration for any fantasy art piece I'd like to create. Like the others have said, beautiful, stunning, and the reason why this kind of dance has persisted all these years.

Her drum solos are so sharp but soft and feminine at the same time! It’s almost like muscle memory kicks in where she’s aware she’s dancing but her body just moves without her even trying… like she’s watching her body move and going “mhmm.. yep” and smiles!

What kind of stamina does a person have to keep this up for as long as she did? All those muscles moving and the concentration to isolate each group. I cannot even ballroom dance as I am some kind of klutz. This is athleticism beyond my wildest dreams. If I even could just wiggle my hips I’d think I was clever. AND she smiled the whole time!
