I absolutely love this movie. There was quite a lot of people in the theater when I watched it, but as soon as the movie started everyone went silent. I've never been able to feel the silence so much. Great job to Ryan Coogler for this masterpiece of a movie, and rest in peace Chadwick Boseman.
Great movie all around and a great tribute to Chadwick Bozeman. A great introduction to Namor, Tenoch Huerta was fantastic. The last few minutes of the movie did me in, I was a crying mess. I loved all performances but hats off to Winston Duke who did such a good job as M’Baku who provided some serious scenes with humor thrown in!
I absolutely agree of Everett Ross not being a skrull, he got such a personality and how he said to Val that he owe Wakanda his life, I really don't think he is a skrull, and no matter how tiny the chance is, i'm still hoping he will meet Doctor Strange one day 😌
If Ross would have been a skrull in the first movie, he would have changed back when he was shot in the spine, or Shuri would have found this during his treatment to save his life.
I think during the final battle, if I recall correctly, riri says “this is for the queen” right before charging to attack namor, so there was a tiny hint of a reaction to queen Ramonda’s death, but yes a full scene showing and fleshing out riri’s struggle with the notion that the queens death may be on her hands would’ve been nice
Nothing is better than watching my favorite channel watching the g.o.a.t Mr Voss. My days have been dark lately and Greg and John always help shine a light.
To you. He was great. But he was not EASILY the best. There was a lot of standout characters. Romanda stole every scene scene, I really enjoyed Shuri and okoye as well.
Not me bursting out laughing with his words of “Every man marries a version of his mother”…..😂😂😂…dude speaking facts, not gonna lie when I was watching Namor and Shuri’s scenes I was thinking they were giving subtle hints about making this two an item.
So glad I got to watch this breakdown with you guys! I hope to enjoy more Marvel reactions, reviews and breakdowns with you for many more years to come. 🙂
I just want to say thank you both for being such amazing people and bringing happiness in my life I'm in a very ruff spot I just want to say thank u so much please keep it up and never quit
I like that Namor was not necessarily a villain but someone who's interest was to protect his home and people making villainous choices. It wasn't cut and dry
I loved this movie so much. It was great example of how people experience grief. While others cried throughout the movie, I didn’t cry until the mid-credit scene. My only sister passed away a month ago and she left behind 4 children, including a 7-month old. Seeing that scene reminded me of her and her legacy. It also reminded me on how I need to keep her spirit strong for them
I got it: it's cyanosis. The Talokan people have blue skin above water, because of a lack of oxygenated blood. They only absorb oxygen under water, that's why the skin turns back to normal.
After a goofy ass movie like Thor : Love and Thunder, this was a pleasant return to a movie with real stakes for a change. No outrageous comedy that ruins scenes, and no plot armor!!! Yes, ree ree and ross werent SUPER necessary... but thinking about it, it helps world build for phase 5. Ryan Coogler is a genius and those actors and actresses are amazing... And reel rejects and new rockstars, ROCK!!!! (not M.T though lol)
The encryption on her laptop is crazy, most encryption schemes we use today only use 256 bits, which would already be impossible to brute force in a human amount of time. 2056 bits no one is getting into her computer
imagine ned being riri's man in the chair.... and mj being her bestie.... then peter crosses paths with ironheart only to see that his former crew has a new hero..... awesome and heartbreaking.
I don't think Shuri is imagining Killmonger. Souls and afterlifes are confirmed to exist in the MCU. Much like Valhalla exists, so does the Ancestral Plane. That doesn't necessarily mean that Killmonger is always on that fiery throne though.
I just realized that the game with the rubber ball and the way you play it is with your hip but isn’t that also the way that Atuma hit something at Okoyay but I don’t remember what it was but it hit her off the bridge. Like Namora threw something and then he hit it at her.
I think the conclusion of the Namor vs Shuri fight and them compromising is gonna cause Namora and/or Attuma to rebel against Namor. It’s clear Namora doesn’t like Namor’s decision and will probably try and get Attuma on her side if they decide to go against him.
I was very ok with the spear that impaled her not having blood on it, I instantly thought that the suit probably has a system to tighten around the wound as you pull the thing piercing you out and simultaneously putting the blood back in your body (or it could’ve just wiped the blood off cause of the tightness idk if oxidized blood belongs back in your body)
I definitely thought the best fight was the final fight between namor and shuri the rawness of it and the way it was filmed reminded me of the og tobey goblin fight
Did T'challa lose his powers somehow? I thought he already had the last heart shaped herb in him? Or did the illness somehow strip him of his inhanced effects?
It’s not stated nor revealed and I think they just didn’t want to go that far. It’s not really about how he died, I don’t think they wanted to focus on that. It’s more about how we move on and how we deal with grief in general. But I get what u mean
Yeah I'm really curious as to how he was stripped of his powers, I at first thought someone might have tried to challenge him for the throne so the took his powers away while he fought but that would be reckless since the herb was destroyed so idk but I really wish they explained that.
I’m just throwing this out there but doesn’t the words at 5:21 look like the typo from the One above all (aka Kang) showin pepper work telling Loki’s path that is already been made & taken
I still think there was a weird emphasis on Riri building stuff for her professor/for school projects and they didn't ask who her professor was. Sounded to me like he was the one who allowed her machine to be used to look for vibranium. Could be the hidden tie in to Dr. Doom
Hmm, while the Disney no blood thing is most probably a thing...that or just oversight, kind of makes sense for someone on the herb. If I recall, all of T'challa's wounds came when he gave up the herb no? Killmonger took his fatal injury when the herb was temporarily deactivated. Further, Namor's people on the bridge healed instantly with no blood coming from them either. But if intended to be a string of continuity, why is Killmonger dead? Injury too fatal to heal itself? I mean he did have the option to maybe get a save...so all makes sense yeah?
Best part about the ankle wings, you can tell they got inspiration from figure skaters. Even copied the movements they use when they need to build up speed.
I have to say, I've seen so many people and comments on videos saying that this movie was absolute garbage. I understand that people have different opinions, but when this movie goes against what we're used to nowadays, and have everything in it, deep themes, meaningful quotes, believable conflicts, and emotional depth, and character arcs. But the movie is still garbage because your favourite character wasn't recast? now that's just stupid. It's like they went to the theatre and sat there closing their eyes and ears for the whole movie.
Watched it yesterday and really enjoyed it. I will say the pacing was a little bit off to me, but the action and acting was so incredible that I don't care.
My take on the rewind of time at the end was her remembering everything that Wakanda and Talokan stood for and what would be lost if she killed Namor and went on a full scale war.
It always feels good to see clips from a movie that you really love, but I feel like these clips are a bit early. I mean, the film only came out four days ago and streaming's gonna take maybe six months. I dunno, it just seems like spoilers should be in effect! Though, a lot is shown in the trailers and you reviewers see things earlier...bruh, it hasn't even been a week. Don't get too excited
I love the movie. Waiting to see it again, since it's sold out now and my emotions are not ready for the intensity, lol. I hope they will explore RiRi's survivor's guilt in Ironheart!
Why should Riri feel even slightly guilty? She's a college kid who did a project for school-that's all she did,the rest was done to her. She expressed her gratitude and debt to Ramonda for saving her life and was enough. Personally, I don't see the need to have an outsider make the Wakandan Queen's death all about themself even for a moment. When people who've loved her their entire lives are present, that seems in poor taste. You don't go to an acquaintance's funeral and grieve louder than the deceased's family.

Yes, everyone was silent by the opening credits and then their were sniffles immediately after
my showing was completely empty except for about 15 people. I was sure everyone and their grandma wanted to come out and see this movie :(
I was in a full cinema and no one made a sound, it was solemn and so so powerful

shouldve been in the theater during a quiet place
I really hope Namor returns. He was amazing. Man, I'm still not over this film!!
He's an avenger in the comics I'm guessing he will return
He became one of my favorites in the mcu right away, love the way he fights

It's obvious he'll be back.

I truly hope Ross interacts with Dr. Strange. That would be incredible.
They must meet and Ross must somehow say the line, “No shut, Sherlock.” I will accept nothing less then that.
Chadwick left this world like a king. Strong! 👑
Stunning performances by everyone involved, cast and crew
Nothing is better than watching my favorite channel watching the g.o.a.t Mr Voss. My days have been dark lately and Greg and John always help shine a light.
Namor was easily the best part about Wakanda Forever. One of Marvel's best villains of Phase 4 and easily Top 10.
To you. He was great. But he was not EASILY the best. There was a lot of standout characters. Romanda stole every scene scene, I really enjoyed Shuri and okoye as well.
The best part to me was Riri Williams
M'Baku was amazing this movie
Namor stole the show.
Namor stole every scene he was in. Can't wait to see him in another project.

Thr bridge where Okoye and Atuma fight was filmed on the same bridge in Atlanta where Dr. Octopus shows up in No Way Home
Nice!!! I love learning something I didn't know...
The Scene with Killmonger was one of My favourites in the MCU.
When Namor got his wing ripped off I hollered, “Ooh he needs some Redbull!” 😂

I’ll never forget those couple moments of complete silence in my theatre on Friday. Epic and emotional film
I really loved the cinematography. So up and close and intimidating.
Just downloaded the soundtrack 😮 Namors Throne sounded amazing 🎉🎉🎉
The song when they went into TALOKAN was wow
What's the name of the song? I really enjoyed that scene

The underwater birth scene reminded me of Apocalypto.
I knew Killmonger was going to be in this. Michael B Jordan started making appearances out of nowhere over the last few weeks lol

Amazing how blown away and impressed I was by a villain with wings on his ankles
I like that Namor was not necessarily a villain but someone who's interest was to protect his home and people making villainous choices. It wasn't cut and dry
It's crazy how much that kid looks like the What If kid T'Challa.
21:21 Really surprised Eric didn't insert the "A BOX OF SCRAPS" line from Iron Man here lol.

@Reel Rejects I'm shocked that when Shuri sees Killmonger that was the MCU's version of Killmonger turning Nakia into Malice in the comics.
I think that they could make Atuma the villain of a Namor movie because some of his people weren’t happy that he yielded
The movie was fantastic, really liked how they portray Namor in this movie

I wonder if they might angle a romance between Namor and Shuri. It felt like it in the early scenes before they headed underwater to the capital.
I got that vibe as well.

Yeah, you guys talking about Namor getting his wing clipped reminded me of Pet Cemetery when Gage cut Jud's achilles tendon
Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer are the go to CNN anchors for MCU and 007 in some way.
I mean Mbaku was similarly changed because he is a rival to tchalla like Attuma is to namor. So it parallels.
I love the new rockstars so much
Elephants 💖
This was a spectacle I don’t even know who and what I loved more and idk about strong as Thor that’s kinda wild
He said "she placed her helmet next to his helmet", but both are his, even though she made them and from that she did a new one for her.
Haha the war machine reference 🤣 "boom! You looking for this?"
I just realized that the game with the rubber ball and the way you play it is with your hip but isn’t that also the way that Atuma hit something at Okoyay but I don’t remember what it was but it hit her off the bridge. Like Namora threw something and then he hit it at her.

It never dawned on me before, but I think Ramonda took Shuri to that river to tell her about her nephew, because Nakia said she met him.
I was very ok with the spear that impaled her not having blood on it, I instantly thought that the suit probably has a system to tighten around the wound as you pull the thing piercing you out and simultaneously putting the blood back in your body
