I have seen absolutely terrific things from all 3 sides during the war, however what Bosnian Muslim people went through was horrific. I will never forget waking up as 15 year old and hearing my friends and their family were raped then burned alive over night. This happened so often done by so called “police.” These were Poor, good families who stayed in their own house because they had no where to go. After it happened no one spoke about it but we kids knew what happened. I had friends from every side and we were so scared and devastated at what so called ‘adults’ were doing. I’m not Muslim. Im Bosnian,half cro half Serb. I’m still so sad and ashamed of what we did to each other. It’s been 20 years since i left and I don’t think I will ever go back. It’s shameful because other counties really look down on all of us, they don’t know how many good, innocent people live there that have no voice.😢
I did 2 tours when I was a much younger man. My first tour I was in a IFOR quick reaction force that responded to uprisings and what have you. When we first got there you could cut the tension with a butter knife. You couldnt trust anyone. Most American soldiers days were spent behind the wire. At first I thought I was unlucky by being made to go out all the time but it was better than being stuck behind the wire for a year. I logged well over 10,000 miles in a humvee and then was selected to fly around in a blackhawk protecting a Colonel. Been to the places in this video and all over the country. I have a ton of pictures. I was smart. The army said they would develope picture for free and most soldiers sent thie flim through the army. I held onto my film for a couple years and developed them in Germany because the army was censoring pictures the gooberment didnt want shown.
I did peacekeeping (and had to fire back on forces firing on us!) there (outside Srebrenica) 18 years ago (seems like yesterday BTW!!). I have only good wishes for all sides, BUT the crimes we witnessed that had occurred were so incredible in terms of PURE EVIL I really don't know if that's possible!!! P.S. MAYBE if one generation goes by without conflict they can see some common ground!!

Such a sad situation and this was only a short time ago. Proof that even in modern times we can see civilians massacred just like we did during WWII. Not to start an argument, but when people try to say the 2nd amendment is outdated, I think they are horribly wrong. I'm sure many of the massacred civilians in this war would have much appreciated at least a chance at defending themselves if they could have. Better to go down fighting...
The animosity between Bosniaks and Croats in Bosnia can be overcome. It's clear that many people already have moved beyond it. Unfortunately there are too many Serbs who engage in genocide denial, treat war criminals as heros and show no interest in reconciliation. They also routinely miserably the causes of NATO intervention and bombing. That's not all Serbs. Not at all. But there are still too many. It seems it will take longer for Serbs to do what the German nation had do after 1945. They won't move on until then. And they shouldn't be welcomed into the European Community until they do.
The documentary here doesn't mention a single crime committed against ethnic Serbs during the war. Most videos and articles don't. Perhaps Serbs would be more willing to overcome ethnic tensions if their suffering was acknowledged and if they weren't always treated like faceless evil villains in media like this. The documentary started in Sarajevo. 200 Serb civilians were killed there by Bosniak paramilitaries and their bodies were dumped in the Kazani Pits. At the same time, one third of the city's defenders were ethnic Serb. Just something to keep in mind.

What are they payed for? ) It didn’t end here, and as reporter’s questioned about her official car (jeep donated to the organization by the United Nations) this “saddened Srebrenica mother” coldly says that “since I cannot hold the car in front of the Organisation’s office” (she didn’t say why she can’t park the donated UN vehicle in front of her office), … ” so I park it front of my house and my son drives it because I have my own car. … ” (?!?!?). As for donations, she said that BH Telekom donated 300,000 KM (?), (about 120 000 eu) of which, according to her, 18,000 was spent in renewing the premises of the organization ( also donated by the government), and that “something” was spent for the functioning of the organization, and that the account still has “some money” for future work. Later appeared the fact that of these “some money” on the account, there was still about 100,000, and it turns out that “some money” for the work of the Organization is 170 to 180,000 KM (about 100 000 eu)… How they manage to get the donation of 300,000, again, is another unclear story. At the end she admitted that even though a “saddened victim of Srebrenica” she has not even been in Srebrenica during the war; her husband didn’t participate in war, but worked there for someone, and of course he got away alive from Srebrenica. But what is terribly low is the fact that their daughter is on the list of orphaned Srebrenica children so she receives monthly and annual donations (aid) on that basis?!?! I know lot of people of her kind and their lies are always alike, served in order to use the opportunity of the War at any cost. “To some war is a good brother” - I was aware of that, but I needed an argument for the story itself, and here it is given. The same Chairwoman of the Mothers of Srebrenica along with the rest of them each July 11 pulls and waves those rags with descriptions and names of the dead, meanwhile her son and husband live to the fullest since they are alive and richer than all of us!
