RC Boat Self Righting Flood Chamber Mod

This video includes my first attempt at adding a flood chamber to one of my RC Boats. This was done to hopefully make the boat self righting when it flips upside down. No more fishing pole or retrieval boat needed if it works. This modification is usually done to deep-v hulls but can be done to some other types of boats as well. We may do more experimenting in the future if this works well.

excellent job and explanation both. yes that hull DOES look like a real pain to make the internal chamber template for. just watched the test run video, the added vent in the step sure has her flipping upright nice and quick!

Thanks, I was real happy with the way it all worked out. It flips the boat back over in about 6 seconds. Hopefully the next boat I add a flood chamber to won't have so many crazy contours. Would be a lot easier if all the pieces could be flat.

Could you just use a pvc pipe sealed on the front cut hole insert pipe seal walah just an idea I will try one day

glue in a pvc pipe cap the end cut hole job done

So that would work with the lipo off set to the pvc pipe have you tried and tested this method.
