As Panther player I couldn't agree more, every time I verse a tortoise I gang it and flak it especially cuz I meet em only in city maps thx to shitty matchmaking
Even with that, if this is an advert, then it's mostly enemy distraction while you struggle and your teammates clean up. And that's if you're as good and playing defensively.

the 32pdr had APDS too, it could go through 200mm angled at 50degrees. that means jagdtigers and king tigers get popped by a 15lb sabbott from the tortoise.
But britain can't have things that are as nice as they actually were

tortoise don't swim lmao. they can submerge themselves partially in shallow pools to cool themselves, but not to the point where the water goes above their head. Just like the tank, an actual tortoise is actually pretty heavy. So if it falls in deep water it would drown, just like how my tortoise drowns as it falls off a bridge in Warthunder because of some irresponsible motherfucker who doesnt know how to drive and tries to overtake u

T95E1, m901 and F89B is the best lineup for tank RB I’ve played. It’s almost impossible to go below a 1.0 K/D. Also you can actually make money in tank RB with it.

Just got the tortoise as my first BR 6+ tank. As an ex-WoT player I recalled how the tortoise was a moving behemoth of steel, impregnable to all but the strongest of top tier guns. So, I boldly drove at 10kph until I at least reached the frontline. My first enemy pulled around the corner maybe 70m from me: a Tiger 2. I fired and instead of the expected 1 shot I bounced. “Oh well, unlucky, but its fine because he surely cannot penetrate the mighty tortoise”. The tiger proceeded to aim at me for no longer than a millisecond, snapshot me, and instantly knock out all of my crew.
It was at that moment I learned two things:
1. WT is not WoT
2. I needed to go back to BR 5 and below
So how does Phly not know the difference between a green circle and a white one?

I think it idles so quiet because it has a gasoline V12 engine (Rover Meteor) which runs very smooth naturally. The thick armor will most likely also dampen the noises that come directly from the engine, like sounds from the gears for camshafts, pumps, etc and the big muffler on the rear will do the rest to make it quiet...

@PhlyDaily The Tiger II turret is not modeled correctly in game, most of the front plate on the turret is actually there just to hold side armor in place (see the welds) therfore you could not penetrate it since behind it wasn't crew compartment but just more steel form the side panels. The area that is only protected by 180mm is really small and necessary since behind it are optics and gun mounts. The rest of the turret is protected by the mantlet. But if they modeled it completely correctly the Tiger II would have to be at much higher BR since the turret would be ~230mm thick in it's thinnest point.

They would have to cut armor off somewhere else to add it to the turret front, though some armor sloping would have helped. Turret would have been KV-2 level heavy, and definitely would cut down on it's speed.
