I was excited to see a new video from you! It's mind blowing how much you were able to stitch since your last video!!! You look fabulous and I'm so happy you are getting your health back. It's not an easy journey. Working on what lights your fire is so important. Stitch all the things, stitch only one things, start something new, pull out old WIPS... whatever makes you happy that day is what you should do. It sounds like doing weekly videos is too much pressure. If you are putting videos out on a schedule that works for you (and when you feel like doing them) makes for better videos. There is no reason to do one weekly unless you want to or you are getting paid to put them out on a set schedule.

Great job on improving your health! I did notice you look more refreshed. I think you should just stitch whatever you want. It doesn't really matter how many stitches you do. The important thing, is that you enjoy stitching. I would be happy just to watch you stitch. I definitely look forward to your videos. It makes me feel like I am hanging out with a good friend! 💜

Thank you so much!!! It was a little easier this year to celebrate her. We try not to be sad about it and do things that she would have loved to do. It helps that it is right around the beginning of school because my mom loved to shop lol. Normality has been refreshing and we are learning the new norm and taking it one day at a time.
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge that’s is a really nice idea,doing something nice and positive instead of traditional mourning,you have a good reason to go shopping too,in memory of your mum 😀 we have one foot in normal with the kids back in school and things open but we still have to wear masks and social distance,just having some normality has been a relief so it’s good to hear you are having some of that! Yeah it's pretty awesome and I'm so grateful for it. Don't get me wrong we still a moment of silence to remember her but it's all good things. As of right now masks are optional but recommended. I'm hoping it stays that way as we keep improving but numbers always seem to change so we have talked with the kids and explained that they just have to soak it all in because another lock down can happen at any moment. Never take it for granted 🥰
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge your definitely right about not taking it for granted,we missed the cinema and open cinemas and it’s been wonderful to go again but we don’t know how long they will be open for,masks are strongly encouraged here and everyone are still wearing them,kids have to be tested when they go back to school. We had a barbecue to remember my father in law this month who we lost early this year to covid,a moment of silence is a lovely idea x

Congrats on the weight loss and becoming a coach!!! I hope it has helped with you feeling better. I've found myself that even just a few pound can make a big difference to my health and happiness. Weekly videos would be great even if it's just a hi, look at this, bye, but do what's best for you and if that's once a month it would be great! I think that it's great that your kids got to meet and know their great grandmother I'm sure that they will have learnt a lot from her. My love goes to you and your family. I hope you can take comfort in the happy times you had together. Xx

It is sounding like I might go bi-weekly for updates and opposite weeks do a stitch with me. We shall see how that goes because it seems every time I try to make a schedule of any kind my brain squirrels and does something completely different lol. My kiddos loved their grandmothers for sure!! It was amazing to watch them and how they loved to help them from getting a plate made for them or doing their nails. I am so glad they had the opportunity to bond with them for sure.

It stinks when you have a project you really love but find out later that it may not be licensed so that the artist is being taken care of. I know that I try a lot harder now to make sure I am working with patterns that are legit.

Thank you so much!! I cannot believe I almost forgot to share them lol. Perhaps every 2 weeks for an update and a stitch with me on opposite weeks. Y'all have come up with so many different ideas for me to work with =)! It was definitely easier this year than it was before but I also think it has helped with our healing knowing she went on her terms and that she would not have mentally been able to understand Covid and why we could not visit her in the group home. We take that and use it as a positive and my kids typically start school around the anniversary so they don't think of it as a negative but an exciting time of year for them. Oh yeah...Scarlet has always been my go getter lol. We knew our time was coming as soon as she was finished with elementary school and that she was going to have electives. We have had to listen for the last 2 months of all the plans she had not realizing how much time she doesn't have lol.
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I think that's a great plan. Stitching group is a great collective mind. That is a very valid point with your mum. In the long run she was lucky. I dont know what's more dangerous...covid or the govt's with their tyrannical power! There were so many people put in that position that couldn't see their dying family or go to their funerals. Yet they give exemptions to stupid things or have double standards. I'm glad you guys see it as a positive with your mum. Thats great. Your an amazing family. Keep nurturing each other. Never feel bad! you follow your stitchy bug wherever it takes you, I would hate to think that stitching was becoming a chore or a stress for you, where you felt that you had to stop a project that you wanted to continue just to have more projects to show or having to keep track when you just want to enjoy your stitching, speaking for myself stitching is very important to me, so if you just want to stitch, girl just stitch! and forget all the other stuff if you don't want to do it, don't. I absolutely love your videos so I would love to see weekly videos, I don't care if you have 1 project or 100 projects, I really enjoy sitting down with my stitching and watching your videos, but ultimately it is completely up to you. Also congrats on the weight loss you look AMAZING!!

Welcome back! On doing your floss tubes, to me I think you feel monthly would be good for you. You love doing “stitch with me” so you can always do one mid month. I mentioned in one of the other recent videos that I thought how well you were looking and asked if you had lost weight, you look fabulous! Congratulations 🎉. When I lost weight at a club we had a member who had really bad diabetes type 1 and she lost tonnes of weight and was taken off all her meds. she even was in a magazine to tell of her journey😁. Thank you so much 🥰! I have a feeling my flosstube may become as random as I am (which kind of seems fitting 😆). It's amazing how our bodies can reverse things that are not so great in our lives. I am really hoping that I have put in the hard work to reverse the diabetes. I know that it is going to be something that is a part of me forever but if I can maintain and keep up what I'm doing perhaps I can stay in control of it. That is so amazing especially as a type 1!

How did I just find you???? If the weekly is too much you could always do biweekly. That's what I do and find it is easier then weekly but I like it better then the monthly ones too. I need too too back and binge your other videos now. Beautiful wips!

Though honestly these days I only usually have 1 or 2 Wips to show each week so I know the struggle. 💜 I don't count stitches, no offense but it feels like work. You think I'm organized and yet in reality I'm a hot freaking mess 🤣🤣. Those wip trackers help me a lot and yes! The whole counting thing was so much fun when I started because I was curious how much stitching was really done when I completed 500 for a prompt. But now because I have so many things to choose from and so many starts still planned...counting took some joy out of it. I mean gotta love pattern keeper casue I can keep track that way lol.
I would suggest fortnightly floss tube videos. That way you still have enough progress to show but not as much pressure to keep changing projects. And BTW you look amazing, so incredibly proud of you.

And im glad the kids are able to go back to physical school. It means things are much better where you are. And thats always a positive. My issue with weight loss is that i am in constant pain from osteo arthritis and other issues so working out or even just walking 5 metres isnt an option without agony. Im definitly trying better with food but its still tough. Eh ill get there. Or not!! As long as i can stitch im happy

I’m finding that I despise counting stitches. On a HAED it helps keep me accountable, but the amount of time spent counting I think is detrimental. (Especially on regular projects on paper working copies.) So I’ll finish out a group for the year, but then I’ll leave that group. My projects are hard to shoehorn into prompts too…I don’t have enough projects with people in them lol. I’ve finished 7 pieces so far (2 medium, 1 large, 4 ornaments), but I do mostly medium to large and I can’t stand having tons of things started which again doesn’t work well in challenge groups.
Yeah I'm finding right now my stitchy bug doesn't want to count anymore (well...not for now lol). That is an awesome amount of finishes!! I did love how creative I had to be to spin a prompt to fit a project when I did no new starts last year, which is why I think I enjoyed it so much. But now that I have so many things to choose from my stitchy bug decides in the morning what I'm feeling and I just go for it until a squirrel or something shiny comes along and I go onto the next one 😅🤣
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge well if your stitching a lot of animal/tree type things, there's only so many ways to squeeze fruit, trees, butterflies or birds in. Especially if you're not allowed to get creative.
How about a video every 2 weeks or just once a month!! There are Sooo many FT's to watch...try once every 2 weeks. You have Sooo much energy, and can rattle off your fabrics and patterns, but what about each project bag??? 😜😉☺☺😁😁. (Just kidding!!). You are looking FABULOUS...what program are u using?? What’s going on with the artiste brand? I must have missed hearing about the drama. (I don’t own any, but would like to know if I would like to avoid them for reasons other than the designs don’t call to me.)
From what I understand some (not all) of the artiste is taken from artists who do not get the proper credit. Like the Geisha Angel one that I own is actually a Barbara Baatz design.
you do you with the flosstubes :) why not record when you want to and not on a schedule ? I know exacly what you meen with the social thing. There is a different being "antisocial" and introvert. I am super talkative and very social when i am with people. But I need to be alone to charge my batteries. and it takes a bit more for me to actually invite others, or to go to other people just to be social. it is draining for an introvert to be social. where as it is the other way around for extroverts, they charge when they are with others :) it has nothing to do with people skills in my mind anyway :) but it can just be me, who knows :) it is just great to hear that everything is okay and that you stitch on all the things you want to stitch on :) ( i am so behind on flosstube it is laughable,sorry )
You're so spot on when it comes to being an introvert at least in my mind lol. Cause that's exactly how I feel. I don't mind being social but getting there or setting it up is hard. But then I need to recharge my batteries for a few days before doing it all over again. I have a feeling my mind is going to go with I'll put up a video when mentally I can sit down and make a few videos at a time. Thank you so much!!! It was a little easier this year to celebrate her. We try not to be sad about it and do things that she would have loved to do. It helps that it is right around the beginning of school because my mom loved to shop lol. Normality has been refreshing and we are learning the new norm and taking it one day at a time.

Yeah it's pretty awesome and I'm so grateful for it. Don't get me wrong we still a moment of silence to remember her but it's all good things. As of right now masks are optional but recommended. I'm hoping it stays that way as we keep improving but numbers always seem to change so we have talked with the kids and explained that they just have to soak it all in because another lock down can happen at any moment. Never take it for granted 🥰
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge your definitely right about not taking it for granted,we missed the cinema and open cinemas and it’s been wonderful to go again but we don’t know how long they will be open for,masks are strongly encouraged here and everyone are still wearing them,kids have to be tested when they go back to school. We had a barbecue to remember my father in law this month who we lost early this year to covid,a moment of silence is a lovely idea x

It is sounding like I might go bi-weekly for updates and opposite weeks do a stitch with me. We shall see how that goes because it seems every time I try to make a schedule of any kind my brain squirrels and does something completely different lol. My kiddos loved their grandmothers for sure!! It was amazing to watch them and how they loved to help them from getting a plate made for them or doing their nails. I am so glad they had the opportunity to bond with them for sure.

It stinks when you have a project you really love but find out later that it may not be licensed so that the artist is being taken care of. I know that I try a lot harder now to make sure I am working with patterns that are legit.

Thank you so much!! I cannot believe I almost forgot to share them lol. Perhaps every 2 weeks for an update and a stitch with me on opposite weeks. Y'all have come up with so many different ideas for me to work with =)! It was definitely easier this year than it was before but I also think it has helped with our healing knowing she went on her terms and that she would not have mentally been able to understand Covid and why we could not visit her in the group home. We take that and use it as a positive and my kids typically start school around the anniversary so they don't think of it as a negative but an exciting time of year for them. Oh yeah...Scarlet has always been my go getter lol. We knew our time was coming as soon as she was finished with elementary school and that she was going to have electives. We have had to listen for the last 2 months of all the plans she had not realizing how much time she doesn't have lol.
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I think that's a great plan. Stitching group is a great collective mind. That is a very valid point with your mum. In the long run she was lucky. I dont know what's more dangerous...covid or the govt's with their tyrannical power! There were so many people put in that position that couldn't see their dying family or go to their funerals. Yet they give exemptions to stupid things or have double standards. I'm glad you guys see it as a positive with your mum. Thats great. Your an amazing family. Keep nurturing each other. Sounds like you do anyway.

Never feel bad! you follow your stitchy bug wherever it takes you, I would hate to think that stitching was becoming a chore or a stress for you, where you felt that you had to stop a project that you wanted to continue just to have more projects to show or having to keep track when you just want to enjoy your stitching, speaking for myself stitching is very important to me, so if you just want to stitch, girl just stitch! and forget all the other stuff if you don't want to do it, don't. I absolutely love your videos so I would love to see weekly videos, I don't care if you have 1 project or 100 projects, I really enjoy sitting down with my stitching and watching your videos, but ultimately it is completely up to you. Also congrats on the weight loss you look AMAZING!!

Welcome back! On doing your floss tubes, to me I think you feel monthly would be good for you. You love doing “stitch with me” so you can always do one mid month. When I lost weight at a club we had a member who had really bad diabetes type 1 and she lost tonnes of weight and was taken off all her meds. she even was in a magazine to tell of her journey😁. Thank you so much 🥰! I have a feeling my flosstube may become as random as I am (which kind of seems fitting 😆). It's amazing how our bodies can reverse things that are not so great in our lives. I am really hoping that I have put in the hard work to reverse the diabetes. I know that it is going to be something that is a part of me forever but if I can maintain and keep up what I'm doing perhaps I can stay in control of it. That is so amazing especially as a type 1!

You think I'm organized and yet in reality I'm a hot freaking mess 🤣🤣. Those wip trackers help me a lot and yes! The whole counting thing was so much fun when I started because I was curious how much stitching was really done when I completed 500 for a prompt. But now because I have so many things to choose from and so many starts still planned...counting took some joy out of it. I mean gotta love pattern keeper casue I can keep track that way lol.
I would suggest fortnightly floss tube videos. That way you still have enough progress to show but not as much pressure to keep changing projects. And BTW you look amazing, so incredibly proud of you.

And im glad the kids are able to go back to physical school. It means things are much better where you are. And thats always a positive. My issue with weight loss is that i am in constant pain from osteo arthritis and other issues so working out or even just walking 5 metres isnt an option without agony. Im definitly trying better with food but its still tough. Eh ill get there. Or not!! As long as i can stitch im happy

I’m finding that I despise counting stitches. On a HAED it helps keep me accountable, but the amount of time spent counting I think is detrimental. (Especially on regular projects on paper working copies.) So I’ll finish out a group for the year, but then I’ll leave that group. My projects are hard to shoehorn into prompts too…I don’t have enough projects with people in them lol. I’ve finished 7 pieces so far (2 medium, 1 large, 4 ornaments), but I do mostly medium to large and I can’t stand having tons of things started which again doesn’t work well in challenge groups.
Yeah I'm finding right now my stitchy bug doesn't want to count anymore (well...not for now lol). That is an awesome amount of finishes!! I did love how creative I had to be to spin a prompt to fit a project when I did no new starts last year, which is why I think I enjoyed it so much. But now that I have so many things to choose from my stitchy bug decides in the morning what I'm feeling and I just go for it until a squirrel or something shiny comes along and I go onto the next one 😅🤣
@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge well if your stitching a lot of animal/tree type things, there's only so many ways to squeeze fruit, trees, butterflies or birds in. Especially if you're not allowed to get creative.

What’s going on with the artiste brand? I must have missed hearing about the drama. (I don’t own any, but would like to know if I would like to avoid them for reasons other than the designs don’t call to me.)
From what I understand some (not all) of the artiste is taken from artists who do not get the proper credit. Like the Geisha Angel one that I own is actually a Barbara Baatz design.

I am super talkative and very social when i am with people. But I need to be alone to charge my batteries. and it takes a bit more for me to actually invite others, or to go to other people just to be social. it is draining for an introvert to be social. where as it is the other way around for extroverts, they charge when they are with others :) it has nothing to do with people skills in my mind anyway :) but it can just be me, who knows :) it is just great to hear that everything is okay and that you stitch on all the things you want to stitch on :) ( i am so behind on flosstube it is laughable,sorry )
You're so spot on when it comes to being an introvert at least in my mind lol. Cause that's exactly how I feel. I don't mind being social but getting there or setting it up is hard. But then I need to recharge my batteries for a few days before doing it all over again.
