I am a locomotive engineer/ Subway Operator for Los Angeles Metro. I can say I honestly love my job. It's a new adventure every day. Decent pay ,pension, medical and room for growth.
@@WhynotjustEnjoy1 You must have thick skin working Los Angeles, some of our passengers smoke and do drugs on our rail system. Other than operating is the same. I operate P200 and KINKISHARYO 3010
I can guarantee you, all class one freight train locomotive engineers make 6 figures. And for major commuter rail engineers (Metro-North, Metro-Link, Amtrak, etc) they can make well over 200k
Good Content. The people in these positions earn a decent living for the most part are happy! I do have to say that your emphasis "only need a HS diploma" sounds a little demeaning. Put the/a positive spin. Consider saying or paraphrase "Many people purse a successful career without earning a degree." and like for Conductors, say or paraphrasing "Train conductor members are responsible for operational and safety duties that do not involve the actual operations of a train or locomotive. Their duties include checking tickets, motoring train movement and speed, insuring passenger safety and reporting any issues or defects to the train crew." Make people feel really good about your delivery!!!
Sir, I am a qualified locomotive engineer in the Netherlands. I am doing this job for the last 6 years and I absolutely love it. Is there a chance to do the same job in Canada? I mean can you get a job offer while you are outside of canada? And offcourse I understand you need to do the training again in Canada and will have to qualify for that too.
Thank you 😊 sir for making this video. Sir one last question is Citizenship is necessary to become a Subway Train Operator/ Conductor ? because I am from india
Hello sir i am from india now i am studying in +2 I want to be a locomotive engineer and work in american railway or via railway What should I do for this. sir please share your experience about this 🙏🙏
It's easy, once you get over here, apply to Norfolk Southern, CSX, Union Pacific, BNSF, etc... And work as a conductor, once you gather experience you can either wait to be promoted or apply to passenger rail ways for an engineer position.
Thanks for all your videos! I've been trying to look for a new occupation and all these videos help a lot!
Happy to help!

What are the certificate need for Locamotuve engineer
None, you apply to the rail roads as a conductor and then bid for engineer school. All paid training.
