Yes!!! Etheridge has been my everything in music to me. I used to come home everyday after school & locked myself in garage teaching myself music , playing and writing... trying to be just like this musical genius. HER music was a gift it felt like to me. Still sounds the same as in early 90's and THIS KIND OF TALENT JUST DOESN'T COME AROUND BUT ONCE A BLUE MOON! She will always be my hero as a artist, writer , entertainer, musician & woman! She's never apologized for who she is or pretended be anything other than herself.. SHE IS THE 1 AND ONLY MF MELISSA ETHERIDGE. HAS NEVER BEEN ONE LIKE HER & NEVER WILL BE.

I'm No Angel is a great song! I think you're a Rock N Roll Hall of Famer! It WILL happen and I can't wait. The lyrics to this song sounds like an intimate chat song to an old friend/lover.
She explained it's about a fictional meeting with an old friend in a bar but the reality it's based on is the friend slept with Melissa's gf. So it's really a song about forgiveness and leaving the past in the past

I think Melissa is wrong. She has a voice of an angel, gives of her heart like an angel and is a wonderful mother. Sounds like Melissa is an angel. She should never doubt it. The past is the past. What you are now is who you are, an angel.
The music she recorded on this album are songs that she wrote in the past, & didn't record at the time. So, she wasn't then what she is now, or where she is in her life now. Those songs were relevant to what she was going through at the time that she wrote them years ago, but she still loved them enough to want to record them now.

It's very kind and generous of her to be so open about the loss of her son., helping to work towards the betterment of society at her own risk and self-sacrifice. . She does that. She always has. She's seemingly incapable of NOT being a good and conscientious person.

Angels do not have wings.
I can't even imagine what her life has been like, in terms of just the gay angle. ............... Eps here in the midwest, ppl be CRA-CRA angry and damning of being LGBTQ+, and she must have been hassled daily, anytime she'd go to the grocery store or to get a cup of coffee, people chastizing her, trying to lay hands on her and exorcise the demons, whatever. ..........It was BECAUSE she had the big ovaries to bear the weight of the LGBT community and push the way open for us, that we're here in the first place.
