God, I loved this game as a kid. Like, ADORED it. I remember trying so hard to pull off a combo move of grabbing a person, doing the surface swim, tail whipping them in the air, then swimming and jumping out of the water to catch them. It'd make them explode into red mist, so gnarly.

I have so many questions about the guy on the boat with the grenades. Why grenades? Was he expecting to see Jaws? Why are grenades his weapon of choice? We need a game purely about grenade man
I can imagine a comic book about Grenade Guy. Here's one of the panels: "Yo, GG! Aren't you worried one of those things strapped to yous chest is gonna explode or whatever?" RapperBoy, his sidekick-slash-rapper extraordinaire, crashed on the sofa next to him. GG, with a serious face, uttered monotonously, "I'm a professional." A short pause. He added, "I hate sharks."
Its a illegal fishing method that goes back to dynamite days. As someone mentioned, blast fishing is illegal. The explosive waves cause the internal organs of fish into mush or does severe internal damage. It then causes the fish to rise up dead so they can easily be swept up. The blast waves cause massive harm in water. Mythbusters had an episode about it and they learned the waves traveling through water can harm a person. Even ending their lives. The waves bounce around in the lungs causing the lungs to bleed and collapse.
Honestly, this game is fascinating to me, not just for how incredible the water graphics are and how the gameplay actually turned out to be fun, but for just how weird it is that a Jaws game was made during the PS2 generation in the first place.
@@neo-filthyfrank1347 The last Jaws movie was in 87 (and it wasn't very good). The first movie is everlasting, but in the middle of such a culture turn a Jaws game seems so strange.
