They debuted 2 years ago 3/15 (the number on the key). There are several years of videos pre debut on their channel. They were referred to as 365 practice until they reached their debut make up in the summer of 20202. There are now 5 minialbums not a single skip on any of them. They were 7 members up until a few months ago. They are 6 now.
They are basically always witches in the title tracks. Ponzona (Spanish for Venom), Zombie (you will want to watch both the regular MV and the Halloween version where they remixed the song an dialed the horror up), memeM, and Nerdy. There are a number of mvs for B-sides that are excellent but you must watch Pretty Psycho.

Purple Kiss have the best vocals in the industry at the moment. That's just facts. They also have arguably the best dancers and/or choreography (not just for a girl group, but overall some of the best because they will go hard with choreo and remind us all that girl groups are perfectly capable of "strong" dancing). They're seriously underrated.
Not to take away from them but how is that facts? How can you say vocals are better than Mamamoo, Taeyeon, Wendy or Siyeon ( Dreamcatcher) ? As good, maybe yes, hell I'll say yes without the maybe. Better? Def not. Best vocals in 4th gen? Could be yes. Preferences and facts are 2 different things

Besides being the best vocalists in the 4th gen, they have one of the best dance lines and one of the best rappers.
They also write, compose and choreograph a lot of their songs. So unbelievably talented
When I first heard their debut song Ponzana (a must watch also), the first thing that came to me is that they are like a mix of G I-dle, Dreamcatcher, and Mamamoo. That made me an INSTANT fan. They're super varsatile and talented and are very underrated when people talk about 4th gen groups.
I can always count on Purple Kiss, Dreamcatcher, PIXY, and Pink Fantasy for a good horror/dark concept.

Purple Kiss are in my top ten girl groups of all time. They’re actually one of the most underrated girl groups in all kpop. Their mysterious horror element is the most unmatched vibe ever. They are alluring and so so so talented. My boss, Swan, she has one of the most unique voices I’ve ever heard. Their dancing is top tier. I hope you’re able to watch their videos from the beginning after this? Aw, this was such a delightful reaction to watch!!! I'm so glad you loved it so much, it's always a joy to see someone appreciate purple kiss the way I do - they really are criminally underrated! A lot of people just have no idea what they're missing. They often incorporate horror elements into their music and MVs but not always - Ponzona and Pretty Psycho are darker concepts, so are all of their Intro Performance Videos which I really recommend checking out and reacting to as well!! Nerdy and Zombie have spooky/creepy elements but are more fun and lighthearted songs overall, however I recommend the Zombie Halloween Version Performance Video for a darker version. Thank you for appreciating their music and vocals so much, they deserve the world!!!
This reaction made me so happy, thank you for checking them out! I love your genuine excitement at discovering the horror references and at the song/the group in general. Purple Kiss are amazing and SO underrated. If you liked this, definitely check out their debut song Ponzoña, it has similar vibes and was actually written by Swan, the youngest member and one of the main vocals (the blonde one in the MV)! I would recommend Pretty Psycho too (it's a b-side but there's a performance video for this one and they promoted it on music shows after memeM). Their general concept is that they're witches, they've done some quirky concept films building their story. They've gone back and forth with the darker horror concepts (this and Ponzoña) and more quirky/fun horror concepts (Zombie, Nerdy). Their albums cover a wide range of sounds as well.
I highly recommend you check out their Intro videos too! Most of their albums have an intro, and they always do a performance video for the intro as part of their teasers each comeback. The one for this comeback is called 'Save Me' and it's one of their best imo. They're such a great group and I really hope this is the song that gets them noticed by more people because they deserve so much more recognition!

They are so talented across the board. They have 3 (three!) main vocalists, 2 main dancers and 3 lead dancers, which should tell you a lot about both their vocals and their dancing as a group overall. The dance line also has made some of their own choreography, like for their predebut single "My Heart Skip a Beat", which I think is a song you'll love as well. Since that was their first release it seems like a good place to start too! Their entire debut album is a masterpiece imo. But I can't recommend any of their songs enough 😊
They have some story films preceding their recent title tracks (memeM, Nerdy and Sweet Juice) and I strongly recommend watching those first because the story in the MVs continues directly from the story films. They have intro songs for most of their title tracks as well, which are generally amazing in themselves, especially "Intro : Crown" and "Intro : Illusion".

Not super short but I promise it's worth it!!
Chaein 1:26 2:26 4:01 5:49 (main vocal, lead dancer, lead rapper), the girl with the silvery hair who encountered the twin copies of her in the hallway, especially composes a lot of music. On most of their releases, there has been at least one song she composed entirely or mostly by herself.
Yuki 3:30 5:08 6:14 (main rapper) writes all of her own raps except for a couple songs on their 4th album (more impressive since she is Japanese and was still struggling a little with Korean in the beginning).
Swan 1:36 2:34 3:39 4:05 5:22 5:58 6:37 (main vocal, maknae) has one of the most unique voices in K-pop at the moment, she has also sung demos for some other artists, most famously Chung Ha's "Snapping".
Na Goeun (or just Goeun) 1:19 1:43 2:48 3:57 5:43 6:02 6:11 (main vocal, lead dancer) is the other girl with silvery (kinda greenish?) hair, she starts the song and later picks up the phone and says "Yes". Her vocals are AMAZING too. She's currently the oldest after Jieun left the group, and kind of the de facto leader though they don't have an official leader. Goeun has also written the most lyrics for songs besides Chaein and Yuki, and helped with the compositions of some songs, though all members have contributed at least once.
Ireh 1:31 3:43 4:22 5:16 (reddish hair, solo scene by the pool) and Dosie 2:42 4:13 4:30 6:06 (black hair with bangs) are the main dancers. They're great vocalists too but unfortunately don't get as many lines (especially Ireh 😔), which is like my only "problem" with Purple Kiss. It does seem a little better here than most of their songs though!
This is their first release without Jieun, who unfortunately left the group due to personal/health issues, the details aren't for us to know since that's her private life. She was the oldest of the group and didn't have any official positions besides "vocalist" and she used to also not get many lines, but she has had some great ones that I'm sure you'll hear when checking out their earlier stuff!
PS: Some of the shots of Goeun especially are very short but I tried to put time stamps when they sing. Goeun does some ad libs at some point too and near the end Goeun and Swan are kinda singing together and ad libbing through each other so that was tricky lol but hope it's all helpful!

Purple Kiss debuted in 2021 as a 7 member group, and they do have a witchy/horror vibe going on. They both write and have a hand in the production of their songs. The debut was Ponzona, followed by Zombie (also check out the Halloween version), MemeM and Nerdy. Their b-sides are also superb and there are performance videos for quite a few. Definitely check those out. Sadly member Jieun decided to leave the group last year for health reasons so Sweet Juice is their first comeback as a six member group. Very underrated group despite being on the same label as Mamamoo, hopefully they will get their first win soon as they deserve all the success.

I have been following them since they were uploading covers on youtube as trainees. I must say, all the members are SO hard-working and have been through a whole journey already. They are so talented but still so underrated! You will see that their previous comebacks had 7 members, while there are only 6 members now. Jieun recently left the group, unfortunately :(.
They have this one super awesome dance performance video of "Zombie" released on halloween, it is super creepy but awesome. I am sure you will like it.
The main rapper is a Japanese who writes all of her lines in a Ariel-themed notebook

They have albums introduction like "save me". They are literally so good and people keep asking for their intros to be full songs ahah. Even their own remixes are good. Halloween version of "zombie" for example! I absolutely love purple kiss, their bsides are so good, their voices are amazing.

They always go above and beyond for fantasy elements, and I would definitely recommend Ponzona! Their debut was so strong and still one of my favorite songs - though they never fail with each release, even the b-sides are unskippable!!

Could you also check out Xdinary Heroes. They won Best New Male Artist last year. They have a unique sound which you won't hear from other groups. Try their latest, Hair Cut.

Purple Kiss comes from the same company as Mamamoo so the vocals are crazy, also the concept they use is Cute Horror, hence their references to horror movies but keeping a sweeter and more beautiful image.

I think this is one of Purple Kiss's best songs but it doesn't scream Hit to me, which is no surprise since they haven't had a hit song up til now. Also not surprised that you haven't noticed Purple Kiss. They're under Mamamoo's label RBW and you can always expect a few things from RBW groups:
1) Top tier vocals. RBW has some of the best singers among 3rd & 4th gen girl & boy groups - Mamamoo & Vromance in the 3rd gen and Purple Kiss & Onewe in the 4th (Oneus are also no slouches in the vocal dept.).
2) Creative involvement by the group members. PK usually writes or co-writes their songs and are very involved in the choreo.
3) The popularity of every group under RBW falls far short of their artistry. RBW sucks at promoting their artists and no group under the label has achieved the level of success and recognition they deserve including Mamamoo. So it's not surprising that this is your first Purple Kiss reaction and you've only reacted to one song by Oneus and zero songs by Korea's best kept musical secret, Onewe. You're not alone in overlooking these talented groups but fortunately Veronica turned you on to Purple Kiss.
Ponzona and Zombie are going to be right up your alley but you'll want to binge watch all their MVs and don't miss their terrific pre-debut songs My Heart Skip a Beat and Can We Talk Again. Have fun!

I suggest you check out PinkFantasy's MV Poison for another Girl Group that has a horror vibe. They are what lead me to Purple Kiss.

Purple Kiss their vocal is super unique and everything they do is super different from other groups. They all contribute to the writing, composing, producing of every song they do. They also help with choreography too. They are hugely underrated. One of the best. Also before this song, one of the member Jieun left the group to focus on her well being.
