If you want to experience what it might be like to be a sub captain inside a cold metal tube in the deep dark ocean listening to creaking metal and depth charge explosions getting closer, this is the game for that.
Congrates Devs. I have over 500 hours playing this game on Steam since it's earliest access. It was, at first, a comedy of errors. They even changed the direction of the game, from a mere arcade game to a full simulation. You have honed this game into the most beautiful, deep and realistic sub sim since Silent Hunter 3. It surpasses Silent Hunter, if not for realism, in just graphical beauty and emersion. With some select mods, this game becomes a masterpiece. You've created something that will stand as the most impressive submarine simulation for gamers for perhaps 10 years.
This game has been a fantastic and feature rich experience for years and now it's gotten even better! One of the best Early Access titles I've played. Congratulations to the devs on the release, this is exactly how Early Access should be done.
Loved this game for years now, great to see it's finally complete ! Also I have a question, will there be expansions when you will be able to play as a US submarine on the Pacific theater?
This is the best Sub sim I ever played (+ 1000h of diving ; hunting and escaping and of course a lot of fun. And also thanks to the mod developers) For me, the version of the pre-release was very great!! Almost no bug, lot of functionalities, very nice!)
playing early access i started a 1939 campaign until 1941 then full release came out and the game didn't accept my old saves :(( started 1939 campaign again but on the highest difficulty on a new for me U-4, with no sonar traps, only 2.5 km range, 5 officers, new crew, low u-boat speed, 5 torpedoes at max, no money, no research though I enjoy the game anyway. This new playthrough more difficult, each mission now takes 3-4 hours. Use only gydrophone and periscope to detect and attack the enemy
Hello ! Same problem. I am already in May 1943. I don't want to replay everything from the beginning. Maybe there is some solution to the problem? А чего это я на английском ? Имя полностью не посмотрел.
The game's been out for a while as an early access game, but with the amount of patches and updates they do it's always felt complete. It's not like Guild 3. Interesting to see the full release.
@@DannyoRaiden In case youtube filters the workshop bundle I posted - I made a workshop collection Called Mikhail's Realism Bundle. It's got 15 really good mods - I think essentials ;)
I second this. Console has a major drought of games like these. I've played a ton of this on PC and could easily see how it could be adapted UI wise to work on console pretty easily. A game like this and console would make the developers absolutely minted because there's a massive gap in my market for it on console. Games like this games like ready or not, and so on massive holes in the market just waiting to be exploited.
Realy good game but still lots of bugs/ issues with glitching stuttering. I play this game almost from start when beta was released and still same issues are there....
I don’t know where to say it so I’m saying it here. This game is so good but I have a problem with the range because on the campaign map the range is only 1 kilometer from the uboat
Odd & annoying this game is on sale, cheaper at release than it was in early access. I likely would have ponied up for the supporter pack to bring my spend closer to par with what I'd have expected release retail to be. Now I will not on principle, because I feel this is a disrespect of those who took the risk and supported development. Seems like a very fine game and I'd recommend it from what I've seen so far, but I hope the developers will reward early supporters in future endeavors, rather than giving them the (propeller) shaft.
Sorry guys, but after 5 years after release beta, we received game that is overdated, unfinished and very messy like developers wouldn't know if they want to create simulator, RPG or whatever...
Niby symulator a zrobiliście gównopchwyt!
Ladies and gentleman, congratulations. All of you supporting this game are ok with Nazis destroying "enemy" (our allies and own) ships in WW2. You can't simp any harder than get behind this game. And for the one person who tries to argue that they're not Nazis, they're WW2 Uboat crew. They're Nazis. Go read a history book.
It's not that deep. *Bum dum tiss* Also, I'm fairly certain this is bait meant to rage farm, but I'll give you a proper response all the same in case someone happens to agree. In all seriousness, there's no moral standpoint to be taken here. Playing a submarine simulator game where you take command of a WW2 U-Boat has no ideological implications, does not indicate any amount of support for the Third Reich, or anything along those lines. Playing a submarine simulator game in general does not imply a support for the destruction of merchant shipping. Yes, it is very much the case that you can morally object to the use of submarine warfare all together, and still have a fun time playing a submarine sim. I'd put myself in that boat. Just as you could enjoy a war game and find war objectionable. Just as you could enjoy a hunting game and find hunting to be immoral. I could go on. We as players experience games within the context of our existence, not that of the game. And it's frankly insulting to the intelligence of a player to say they cannot separate their in-game experience from their own beliefs. Yeah, you play as an officer in a fascist military, in service of a fascist state.. But the simple act of putting yourself into the shoes of a German soldier or officer in a video game isn't damning. If it were, half of everyone who played our favorite WW2 shooters would be deemed as a bunch of Nazis, right? That's obviously not the case. Now, if somebody makes a habit of playing almost exclusively as the German team in all their WW2 games, that might be cause for alarm.😅
@@ComradeGrimmGames I understand the logic you bring to the table, and actually respect you for having an answer instead of flaming. The problem at hand still lies that if someone is willing to play the game, they are willing to put themselves into the shoes of the enemy of the world during that era. The Nazis. Now, I'm all for playing the bad guy in a fictitious world like Star Wars. But the fact still remains, this is a biproduct of people forgetting history. WW2 Era Germany was Nazi controlled. And while people like Schindler existed to prove that not all Nazis were evil, they were still the enemy. (Schindler was a man who saved as many Jews as he could during WW2. He had a munitions manufacturing plant that was worked by Jews. His munitions were known to not work properly, and he essentially went bankrupt siphoning as many concentration camp members as he could into his factory to not have to endure that hell. His workers helped him to escape at the end of the war, and he lived with the families that survived for the rest of his life.) There is no moral standpoint to be had. Just the sheer fact that there are too many people willing to forget or not learn history. No matter how you look at it, they were, and forever will hopefully be the enemies of the world for that time period. At the end of the day, I respect you. But I agree to disagree. And nobody out there will change that for either you or I. :)
@CluelessDude101 @comradegrimmgames What a great exchange. I have had this philosophical debate within myself as well. Ultimately I tend to end up with CGG's conclusions in that I doubt many consider these questions & I suspect most who do don't ultimately end up glorifying WWII UBoat warfare. But I speak as someone who buys the destroyer games to depth charge the Jerries too. I wonder if you have different feelings about the digital sailors, some of whom were conscripts, in those games. To another of your points, if a game like this sparks curiosity in a younger player to learn about the history, I think that's a good thing. You know how rabbit holes can be. Finally, modern militaries learn the tools & tactics of past & present adversaries in order to counter them. Obviously that's not the kind of accuracy involved here, but I don't think you can discount the value of laypeople learning what submarine life was/is about if it can offer a sliver's glimpse into the lives of current submariners & understanding of the technological advancements involved. Got deeper into it than I intended but I mainly wanted to say I seldom see such exchanges in the comments & kudos to you both.
It was already a great game in Early Access, can't wait to see the full release version^^

It was a bit shaky at times in early access but it’s now hands down the best subsim I’m I’ve ever played - and I’ve played them all.
