I inherited my great uncle's original copy of MATTHEW BRADY'S ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF THE CIVIL WAR, 50th Anniversary Edition (Copyright 1912). The photos are an incredible window into the past.

Amazing. And at least for me, the real amazement comes from staring into their eyes (I hit pause) from so long ago, and they were living & breathing as I am at this moment. And to see the first person(s) ever photographed is crazy. Sad to see hell on earth has always existed too. Thank you.
