    I just love this video! I too plant specific plants just for the bees so I can really relate to you planting the oregano just for the bees to have a source of food! Good on you and thank you for helping our little friends.

    Okay, I'm not exactly sure why UA-cam recommended me this video. I watched it and I fell in love with all the gorgeous flowers. It also made me really nostalgic because it reminded me of my grandmother's garden. I've never kept plants or anything but I now have the urge to start a garden in honor of my grandma and I want in to be full of life specially bees! Thank you so much for such an amazing video.

    I wonder, would you be willing to share the butterfly seeds from the various plants you have with young gardeners? I've slowly been trying to get a butterfly garden going but yours is absolutely the best I've ever seen! I've learned so much from your channel about clematis.(I planted 4) My yard has become so much lovelier after learning from you.

      Thank you so much Ana.And thank you for watching. I live in Zone 9. We are one hour north of San Francisco in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) California. Our climate is a Mediterranean climate . There are only 5 regions on planet earth with this warm, dry summer/cool, wet winter climate. We have approx. 6 months of possible frost/rainy season and 6 months of no rain. You can read more about me in the About Section and keep up on the Community Section. Best, -mary

    What model # are your Felco pruners?

    • @TheGardeningTutor
      @TheGardeningTutor  6 років тому

      I use a #8. If you are shopping for your own find a store that let's you actually hold the different models in your hand so you get the best fit for you. I like the 8 because it has a long blade and a narrow (1/4 inch) bottom jaw. Thanks for asking Wayne! -mary

      That’s what I thought they were, I love your videos and your little sayings like, pull early and pull often and dead, damaged, diseased and crossing. Any idea where felcos are sold in store? And how does pruning a wysteria differ from your climbing rose video? Sorry for the shot gunning of questions lol. Thanks for your time.

      Since I don't know if you live locally, I don't know where you would find a store that has a sampling of pruners but Harmony Farm Supply in Sonoma County usually has several. I would call first. Wisteria pruning is actually quite similar to climbing rose pruning-leaving long leaders if you want a bigger plant and spur pruning (pruning back to 2 or 3 nodes). On Wisteria the fat buds on your plant in winter will become the flower shoots and the thin, pointed buds will be vegetative growth (no flowers). Sorry for the late response, super busy! -mary
