It develops so much. It just gets better and better. I love when fragrances have a development from freshly sprayed to dried down. It’s like listening to a song with distinct beginnings middle and end that all ties together.
I agree. It gives this Dior line a chance to experience a new take and an appreciation for something new and different. I never experienced the old iris infused fragrances of Dior. I bought The Intense and Dior Eau.I love them both.I really love this new, refined version of a classic. It smells wonderful and I'm going to stock up on it.
Full credit to Dior for continuing to improve and innovate their fragrances. Chanel don't even try. I love the new Dior Homme & I'm really glad they have moved on from their 2017 Sport version which is mediocre and not up to Dior standards. From everything I have heard the new version is much better.
As much as I would like to believe they do it for the purpose of improving their fragrances... What they aim for is to unify their lineup's look (so it is the same as per the 2020 edition) and to sell more of it, than they did with the 2017 version... Not a Chanel fanboy but with their selling, I don't think they'd release something that is not successful financially, hence no need for "improvement".
@@michakotowski2272 Firstly, i appreciate the response. Yes, Dior wants to sell more and the only way to do that is to take risks and give consumers more options and thus the move away from Iris for the Homme line because they believe they can appeal to consumers more with ISO E Super. That gives consumers another option and them more money. Olivier Polge took over Chanel in 2013 and in that time, other than an EDP and a Parfum version of BDC, Chanel hasn't done a single thing with men's fragrances. Both the EDP and Parfum versions aren't big departures from the EDT and hence Chanel hasn't offered consumers anything innovative in 12 years. Chanel simply don't care about men's fragrances at all under Polge who prefers working on women's fragrances. To me, that's a problem.
This fragrance is so amazing!!! I don’t usually like citrus and fresh type of scents but this here smells great on my skin and does so well in the Florida heat. I’m not understanding the hate for it from a lot of folks
I'm wearing this right now. I also have the last version to compare. They are definitely different. The last version was more lemon and fresh. This one is spicier. I initially get a quick 30 second blast of something ozonic but then it's a lot of frankensence. It's definitely better than the last one, but it's nothing groundbreaking. It kinda reminds me of Avignon but a tiny bit fresher and less dry.
This won’t blow minds with its Dior Homme smell, but it’s evident, that isn’t what Dior is going for. I for one, love Dior Homme 2020 as its own identity and I will probably like this too. Hope to see something brand new from the Dior Homme line this year, just keep the old bottle please!!
I always thought it was weird that 2017 DH Sport had no Iris - it now occurs to me that the 2017 was their trial run at relaunching the whole line w/o the iris note, so it must've sold quite well. After redeveloping the baseline DH it makes sense that they'd then ditch 2017 Sport in favor of redeveloping it as a flanker of the 2020 DH formula.
Yeah, I own 2012, 2017 and 2021. I was complaining on 2017 not being 2012 but I still dig it. 2021 is totally different approach. If you are a fan of 2012 you are more likely to like 2017 than 2021 which is more close to new Dior Homme line started in 2020.

But this DHS 2021, is my favorite fragrance right now, for those who has not tried it, you are missing out. Fragrances is such a personal thing, so go and try it, it lasts 8-9 hours on my skin. Amazing stuff…
Anyone else detect the slightest whiff of a semblance to sauvage elixir. It took me a second to place it, but I found a slight commonality with the elixir. Not sure what it is, though.
It dries down very similar to elixir indeed. The base scents seem pretty much identical to me (someone who switches from Sauvage Elixir to DHS regularly to try and prevent nose blindness!)
The OG Dior Homme Sport 2008 was truly fantastic and easily better than 2012 & 2017 (it's my fave Dior scent ever!), I'm interested to sniff the new one to compare.
Got a sample and this stuff grew on me so much compared to smelling it on the blotter. Love what Francois did with this iteration with the focus on the frankincense and in the dry down I get noticeable wafts of iso-e which is intoxicating to me. Must be part of the “woods.” Love how this one is more resinous while also still so fresh. Absolute love and even more than Dior Homme 2020 which I ended up really liking too.
Your expressions say a lot. I want to try this. Thank you for your honesty. I have to admit that the direction that Dior has gone with this line has been great!! I love Dior Homme 2020. I think that the Sport fragrance will be a winner for me as well.
I have been wearing this since it came out on Monday, December 27th. I just bought the 2017 version 2 weeks ago. I really like the newest version as it’s not really a sport scent like the 2017 version is. The 2021 version is more of a gentlemanly smell to me, as casual wear or even a dressier fragrance. I really like this one so I guess I can set my 2017 bottle off to the side and wear it sparingly since it’s going to be discontinued
I'm new to the fragrance world and im falling in love with it more and more each day. I apologize for my naive question and I'll probably have a lot more. Yesterday I went to a store that was going out of business. I picked up 8 bottles for around $120. One of the fragrances is Dior Homme edt 100 ml. It was only $20 however the batch code is from 2015. Was it worth buying juice that is 7 years old? The other bottles are CH King, Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau, Azzaro Wild Mint, Hugo Boss Private Accord, Valentino Uomo, Bentley For Men, 1 Million (only about 30% full) and Pier Cardin Cologne Spray. All the bottles are at least 80% full. Which do you like or dislike?
I wear the older version and get complimented on a daily basis more so than the big hitters like Tom Ford and Aventus Creed by both males and females which is surprising due to the fact this is a EDT, Im a huge Dior fragrance fan and I rotate this with Fahrenheit parfum and Sauvage, can’t wait to buy a bottle of the new scent. 👌🏻

I’ll give it a 6-10 Last the whole day as long as your not all sweaty…. Not huge performance but than again it’s a sports fragrance so that should tell you enough… If you want a stronger performer around the same price range….. “POLO SPORT” your welcome
It is composed by Demachy which I was surprised as Dior announced Francis Kurkdjian taking over as creative director. Maybe Demachy was given an extension from his retirement after the success of Elixir
I was also confused by this! But I gotta hand it to Francois he didn’t disappoint me with this new release. Definitely intrigued by what FK would do with Dior though
If you have dior homme 2020 you don't need dior homme sport 2021. Is just "fresh dior homme 2020" Version. I think dior homme sport 2017 old version is best 👌.
3:32 the cap is rather wiggly and its edges fairly sharp. the frag itself smells neither wiggly nor sharp. conclusion: this scent deserves a better cap.
The opening is beautiful citrusy and fresh , I really like it , mid is nice as is the dry down , The downside for me is longevity and performance is not great , I wish for it to perform longer but that’s the case with all summer freshies , they are not great performers. Than again compared to other fresh fragrances this one is better . 7.5 out of 10

I own Dior Homme Parfum, Dior Homme Intense, and Givenchy Gentleman EDP I just want to say dhp and dhi have similar dna they smell of iris , Givenchy gentleman smells of something like an iris but more earthy at the same age time I can’t explain it more than this DHP and DHI smell like a lighter lipsticky smell and gentleman Givenchy EDP smell deeper earthier ( like an iris but maybe from the root idk) none of these fragrances should be bought blindly I’d buy a sample. Dior Homme 2020 to me isn’t like any of the above it’s more of a classic orange opening woody fragrance the woody comes from iso e super
@@callipygous8328 the Gentleman edp uses Orris. That’s what you are thinking of, close to Iris. It’s a root and more earthy than Iris but still a touch powdery. Very similar.
It’s definitely a derivative of the 2020, but it’s different enough in my opinion! Easier on the nose, more elegant. There is a green facet to the new Sport that is addicting like the 2012 version if you ever smelled it. I need to definitely do a side by side of the two new Hommes though for sure but I can tell you they are different enough
I really don't like it. Especially because I just didn't know it was changed. Not pleasantly surprised. There's something in it that is very typical in man's perfume that I always tried to avoid. The 2017 one was according to me better.
I love this fragrance. I hope they wont discontinue this anytime soon. Allthough its probably time to buy backup bottles considering the sport variant has a 3 year cycle
…simple note breakdown woodsy notes, brandy, tonka and amber by Alberto Morillas…the first few times i wore it i wasn’t that crazy about it, a little too dark and too old fashioned? or conservative as if a traditional mens’ barbershop were located in the middle of the most beautiful wood and book and carpet filled library in the late 19th century, lol…to me the amber and tonka make a slight kind of incense note…the more i’ve worn it the more mellow it’s become with the same kind of sensations from old wood books fine old clothes churches old whiskey cigars…with only? four notes each is evident but combine to make a comforting complex rich fall/winter masculine fragrance…
…younger guys should sample first…prob best suited to serious minded warmly dressed…not perhaps entirely dissimilar in general manly nature to AM’s Gucci Guilty Absolute…
It develops so much. It just gets better and better. I love when fragrances have a development from freshly sprayed to dried down. It’s like listening to a song with distinct beginnings middle and end that all ties together.
That woody dry down is an elegant one.

Wait. Didn't the come out with Dior 2020?
Are you from New York? You got the Manhattan look.
3:32 the cap is rather wiggly and its edges fairly sharp. the frag itself smells neither wiggly nor sharp. conclusion: this scent deserves a better cap.
The opening is beautiful citrusy and fresh , I really like it , mid is nice as is the dry down ,
The downside for me is longevity and performance is not great , I wish for it to perform longer but that’s the case with all summer freshies , they are not great performers. Than again compared to other fresh fragrances this one is better .
7.5 out of 10
Yeah sport frgrance. But love the balance of the fresh top and warm base. Performfs great and the smell is far from cheap.
Reminds me Much of Michel Germain the original Scent
Excited if I might get chosen for the dior giveaway
The Best 👍 DIOR Homme Sport
Just smelt what I presume is most recent version. I'm feeling it on first spray.
just got a bottle of Givenchy Gentleman EDP and i don’t like it at all. i’ve also been on the fence ab getting dior homme intense 2020 but some people say i won’t like it. any help ?? should i go for it or just save my money or what ab dior homme 2020
If you did not like GG EDP, don't go for the DHI. Try DH 2020, it really is a beautiful scent.
@@Supernova249 okay okay. thank youuu
Dior sport 2012 was the best release
Full review coming?
2017 is much much much better imho. My favourite DHS so far
Hi Ash! Guys... is this redundant to have with DH2020?
It’s definitely a derivative of the 2020, but it’s different enough in my opinion! Easier on the nose, more elegant. There is a green facet to the new Sport that is addicting like the 2012 version if you ever smelled it. I need to definitely do a side by side of the two new Hommes though for sure but I can tell you they are different enough
I got this, wore it twice, and i hate it man. It burns my nose idk
I really don't like it. Especially because I just didn't know it was changed. Not pleasantly surprised. There's something in it that is very typical in man's perfume that I always tried to avoid. The 2017 one was according to me better.
What’s the concentration?
I love this fragrance. I hope they wont discontinue this anytime soon. Allthough its probably time to buy backup bottles considering the sport variant has a 3 year cycle
Hi, will there be a review of the new fragrance Givenchy Gentleman EDP Riserve Privee?
Will have to get my nose on this one. Hopefully the performance is decent.
So I was wondering if you can do a review of PENHALIGON'S THE TRAGEDY OF LORD GEORGE EAU DE PARFUM
…i have this…have you smelled it ?
@@jamesnash7262 no never I’m new to the game
How about initio cologne
