My recommendation this time is not for a specific website, but a type of site- your local history site! These days, a lot of local organizations (such public libraries, historical societies, and community colleges/universities) have created publicly accessible databases of their resources. There are a ton of people doing great work to preserve history on the local level and with digitalization, they can share their work with the world! These databases contain materials that are highly specific to the area, such as newspapers, organizational records, and even privately donated materials. It's a great way to find out more information about the place you live- for example, I had no idea that several of the most influential figures in surfing history were graduates of my community college until I saw them in my local college archives! 🏄♂️💻📰📖
As far as inter library loans goes some years ago I was reading up on the second French intervention in Mexico. From a list of six or seven books the library was able to find five or six titles. 😁🖥
Thank you for sharing these resources. I’ve used the Folger’s site, happily, and this post has introduced some promising sites for future projects. ✍🏻📜

Delighted that you have included Australia related sites here.
I use inter library loan all the time. I always say the best thing to come out of the pandemic was curbside pickup at the library.
My local library makes digital loans & inter-library loans very easy. I imagine people can ask their librarian for help? 😊
Love your content! Thanks For this ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much, Dr. Kat! 👶📚💻
Thank you for this second part. ❤📚
Amazing as always! 🪶
I love TROVE. I have been using it to learn about my family history, and find information on my father's birth parents (he was adopted as a baby).
Great info 📝🖥
